Since I recently started brewing beer, I was in need of a somewhat close place to have my CO2 tank refilled. I love the Brew Hut, but I didn’t want to make the drive all the way over there.
As I turned onto Evans from Santa Fe, passed a strip club, then made the turn onto Raritan, I thought, «Toto, we’re not in Kansas anymore…» As I was driving up Raritan I had the distinct feeling that this is where you’d bring a stolen car to have the VIN number scratched off and changed. I swear, if my car is ever stolen, this is the first place I’m going to look!
When I finally arrived at Red Comet, I was instantly greeted with a warm smile. They immediately took my tank and had it filled while I waited – a grand total of 2 minutes. They even offer a frequent filler card, so your 12^th refill is free. They were also really inexpensive. The average price for a refill or tank swap is $ 15, they charge $ 8. They also sell and refill fire extinguishers, so I’m going to make it a point to get one next time I’m in.
