Came at 5 pm, not crowded but busy. Ordered promptly, food served the same. My wife had shrimp and I had prime rib/lobster. Absolutely delicious! Probably the best prime I have ever had. Everything was very tasty except the broccoli, which was soaked in drawn butter. Will try next time ordering it w/o the butter. So glad we decided to stop in. Found another fabulous restaurant to bring out of town guests!

Good food, good prices. The atmosphere is casual and easygoing. The food is a mixture of American with some Mexican flair. The fajitas are very good. I’ve also had the fresh grouper sandwich(blackened), which was amazing. Hubby gets their burgers, prime rib or NY strip. Always good. From time to time I get a Margarita and they are always good. The gentleman bartender is sweet and the wait staff and Manager are always attentive.

Came in looking for a decent steak, read some of the reviews and out shear laziness mostly because it was on the way to the hotel I figured I’d give it a shot. That was my first mistake. The place was not busy at all but the food took well over a half hour to get to the table. I had the fajitas with steak/shrimp/chicken, the tortillas that came out of the package were ok, as were the chopped lettuce and small pile of shredded cheese. The meat was another story… The chicken was passable, the steak was meh, and the shrimp had the texture of an old tire and no flavor. I actually told my wife that I thought I was on an episode of bar rescue because of how bad this place was. Will not be going back.

Not sure if we came in on an off night or what the deal is… Ordered a mango margarita on the rocks, did not taste the alcohol at all. Ordered the calamari appetizer, which was tasty with the two different dipping sauces, though small. Ordered the petite ny strip medium rare, was cooked right, but taste and texture were off. The baked potato that accompanied it was not cooked all the way and was still hard on the inside. The side of scallops was $ 9 for three medium scallops. I choose broiled, but they were overcooked. Hubs had the combo fajitas, he was satisfied with his food, but nothing to write home about. Said shrimp was cooked right, chicken was season and the steak was good also. I tried his rice & beans and thought they had a good flavor. Manager and server were both apologetic. Comp-ed us a free dessert, but I don’t think we would come back. ** Sounds like stick with the Mexican food if you decide to give this place a try.

Yesterday was a milestone birthday for my wife and as she loves a good prime rib, I wanted to find her the best one in the area. This place was recommended by several people. She ordered the 8 oz cut, and selected a salad and bake potato for the sides. The $ 19 price seemed reasonable. There was very little fat in the serving… just enough to give it flavor. My wife said it was the best she has had since moving to Florida almost 8 years ago. I went with the Chicken Supreme. It was a nice sized chicken breast, topped with asparagus, bacon, melted Provolone cheese, and Hollandaise sauce. Quite tasty. I opted to pay the up-charge and go with the French onion soup. Unlike a lot of French onion soup I’ve had in restaurants, this one was not overly salty. It had an adequate amount of cheese. I miss the days when you would get it covered with cheese to the point it ran down the side of the bowl. Even Friday’s doesn’t have it that way anymore. The black beans and rice were nicely seasoned. Since it was a birthday dinner, we had the Funnel Fries for dessert. They came with a side of whipped cream, for dipping. Extremely decadent, and delicious. The only negative part of this is now my wife will be wanting to make the 45 minute drive to dine here on a regular basis.

Good food and drink! Place was packed tonight and season is not here yet. Has a large menu for whatever mood you might be in. Bar has a great neighborhood feel! One of our favorite places!

Went here with a large group, and didn’t have high hopes, but WOW we were so pleased! From the food to the excellent, and patient servers. We will definitely be back again and again. The new manager, Crystal was also extremely attentive to our party, she overheard a conversation indicating that it was one of our party’s Birthday and she took it upon herself to have her staff sing happy birthday and provide a piece of cake. Great Customer Service Rocks!!! Keep it up, Prime Time!

Great service, very busy but good value. Steaks, prime rib and ribs are good. Stay away from the fish dishes their steaks are the reason to go.

My wife and I have not had the Mexican fare here and based on the reviews will probably avoid it. However, they serve some of the best prime rib we have had anyplace in the States. Last year we went there on St. Patty’s and enjoyed a fantastic corned beef buffet. The manager(owner?) Mike explained that he got two 80 lb. cuts of top beef and then had them corned since most beef is corned just to make it edible. It was great and we highly recommend the St. Patty’s spread. We have also had the Stone Crab Claws, which are excellent, the broiled Fisherman’s platter and ribs. All were above average. Service was good although the waitress did screw up the bill and then forgot to return my credit card. Everyone was very apologetic.

Went to Primetime while vacationing in Englewood recently. We have been there many times in the past but it looks like this restaurant is suffering from the economy also. We had some Mexican fare which was just ok. I hope business picks up for these guys.

We have eaten here twice. Hubby seems to like the mexican dishes. I orderd something with grilled chicken. The texture was really off. Couldnt eat it. I do think they have really good chips. Dont think we will be returning. As I really take in the surroundings, I find it very dirty.

I have to say it was average, all the way around. Would give it more than 2 stars, but nothing really was better than average. Went for a steak, but they seemed pricey, so I opted for the chicken and steak fajitas(despite the earlier review’s suggestion to avoid them). They were OK, but the tortillas were not steamed properly so they were not as flexible as needed. The waitress did not make a return visit to check, so I could not ask for more or replacements. The additional condiments(cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, etc) were sparse as well. It was OK. My wife went for the Chicken Supreme and again is was OK. The chicken seemed to be over tenderized and«salty». It was OK. The waitress seemed to be working hard, but rarely came by the table. This may not be entirely her fault, since I noticed 3 different waitresses working the four adjacent tables. Maybe this is the way it is done, but seems inefficient to me. Service was OK. If you’re getting the idea… it was just OK.

I was visiting the area and staying a couple of blocks away and wanted something nearby and went to Prime Time. It’s mediocre at best. Wish I could say more b/c love to go to local businesses but it was just ok, nothing more. Tex-Mex. We tried the steak/chicken fajitas. Average. The salsa was canned and not good at all. The other topping that were served with them were small and skimpy. Another in our group tried the chicken quesidilla and it was the same. I had the prime rib(not sure why I did that) but it was probably the best thing we had. It was cooked to the right tempurate and flavorful. The margaritas were good. Service was fine, nothing bad there. Again…it’s just average. Not memorable.

This is a good reliable local establishment. Definitely a tex-mex theme going on here. They have a large menu with lots of options. I recently had the fish tacos — I really enjoyed them. The nachos are good too. I have never had a bad meal here.

I have been visiting Prime Time for going on 10 years and like the place overall. The food is real good, heavy on Mex, bar food and steaks. Speaking of the bar, those tenders must own a piece of the biz because they are terrible. I can deal with crabby, I can deal with being inattentive, but not both at the same time. We go out of our way to NOT sit at the bar, because the service is so slow. Asking them to turn on your game gets a smart ass comment and then takes too long. The regular waitstaff is great and so is the food, so sit at a table and enjoy. I did notice that their prices are going up.
