Orange Skye Body & Beauty Bar

Just a great little spa in a converted house on Broadway!
This place is worth braving the construction on Broadway, and I don’t say that often. They actually have off-​Broadway parking, behind this bright orange converted 1900s home. (The secret is to pull into the alley behind Gennaro’s.)
I bought a Groupon or some such thing for 6 Infrared Sauna sessions. Rather than a regular sauna that heats the room with steam, this sauna heats you «from the inside out» if that makes any sense. So, you don’t have a steamy mess of a room that is difficult to breath in. It’s a dry-​heat sauna. You can burn hundreds of calories in just a 30min session. My skin looked and felt gorgeous afterward. And, the best part is, the Infrared Sauna is completely private. You literally could not fit a second person in there if you tried. Orange Skye gives you a private room to change for your sauna and relax (cool down) afterwards. I love the privacy!
Actually, I only met the owner once when I arrived for my first session. She explained the process to me and had me sign a waiver and then let me know that she would just have the sauna on for me for my subsequent appointments and that I could enter/​leave the spa as I pleased. This was great, knowing I wasn’t holding anyone up if I was a little late. Traffic on I-​25 and Broadway can be a bit brutal.
