I’ve been shopping at Johnny’s for years and am used to their orneriness, but this morning the person who runs the place was so nasty to another employee, it made me feel miserable. I go for tomatoes and bought a lot of other stuff. Produce is usually good and prices are better than the supermarket. I often buy my herbs to plant there and impatiens too. But, man, how about some service with a smile? Or maybe even just not mean. I’m probably done with the place, at least for this year.

S’OK. Good for some things and not for others. During plant season I’ve had moderate luck with plants purchased from here. During«farmers market» season I’ve stopped to get some items. I’ve enjoyed the heirloom tomatoes and haven’t really gotten veggies, but I like fruit a lot. I’ve had bad luck with fuzzy blueberries and grapes but they are stored at room temperature and not in fridges. Guessing the humidity leads to the fuzzies. The vegetables look good though. Thinking you should be good with things like apples and pears. They also have other items like honey, granola, and fudge. The employees have always been nice to me. $ 10 minimum for credit card purchases. Careful backing out of the lot.
