Best Italian food in the southern tier. Love the renovations. Waitresses were extremely friendly and tentative, we had Jean and she was very accommodating to our picky requests. I have not found chicken parmesan anywhere that comes close in comparison. If I want the best chicken parmesan, I always come here. If you haven’t been there since their major renovations and staff restructuring, I highly suggest you check it out.

The service left a little to be desired(one amazing waitress and one waiter that left a little to be desired) but this traditional family Italian local spot was delicious! You HAVE to get the garlic sauce for the calamari and the garlic sauce on the clams — yes, this is a Rhode Islander advising you to get clams where you cant throw a rock into the ocean from your table… they were SO good! Te chicken park and veal saltimboca was amazing too! …and the chocolate cake was decadent.

So my wife and I had our first date here when she was in high school so when we got married(was a small wedding with a very few close family members) I thought what would be more fitting that the place we had our first date, after all it was good last time(4 out of 5 I would think). So we made a reservation a month in advance and they were ready for us when we got there. Right off the bat the service was terrible, absolutely terrible. I don’t know if they were new waitresses or if they were just having a bad night but right away for my wedding night it was pretty bad. Then the food came. I ordered the prime rib which i like rare but mine was near-raw and soaking wet in a puddle of meat-blood. Okay I expect Prime-Rib to bleed and be juicy but they served this in a bowl-like-plate and it was near full with meat-juice/blood. The prime rib was okay but it tasted like cooked prime rib… no seasoning. My wife got the chicken parm which the breading was soggy, the sauce was bland and our salads had way too little dressing. Overall our entire party was disappointed and it really let me down. Luckily the next night I rectified the situation and took out the wife to her favorite place(Olive Garden). But seriously they just lost 12 customers and if all 12 of us were dissatisfied then there is definitely something wrong. Maybe it was just a bad night but for a Friday at 5pm I would have expected it to be much better! On top of everything else there was a few people there with their kids who were screaming and being loud the whole time. I expect kids to be roudy but why the heck would you bring kids here? Maybe I just have too high of expectations for an «upscale» restaurant. Lastly the mixed drinks were WAY to heavy with the alcohol. Wife got an Apple-tini and could taste absolutely nothing but the vodka.

Nirchi’s on the Avenue had the worst food that I’ve ever gotten at a restaurant. I had the Veal Saltimbocca(if that’s what you want to call it). I really don’t think it was veal. It was processed meat that reminded me of my high school cafeteria’s salisbury steak. My friend made me try his chicken parm because he insisted that it tasted like chemicals, and he was right! My boyfriend hated his chicken francaise too because it was incredibly bland. It was very disappointing to pay so much for a meal that tasted so bad. I am kicking myself for not sending back my food. We didn’t even take doggy bags even though we barely tasted our food. I feel that this is the worst restaurant in the Binghamton area.

Been here twice and enjoyed the Big City-style«happening» casual atmosphere and excellent service. Walking thru the door on a busy weekend night, you will instantly forget you are in downtown Empticott… I concur with reviewer Peter V and learned the hard way to avoid Italian specialty entrees here. Surprisingly, Nirchi’s veal and chicken cutlet dishes are really quite terrible, and it’s not just the sauce! Since this is outwardly an Italian restaurant, i don’t see how i can justify more than three stars. On my recent visit(wedding rehearsal dinner for 60), i had Prime Rib with garlic mashed potatoes and it was great. This was a friday night full house during annual golf tournament, but NIRCHI’S staff handled our big group well and it seemed like everyone who didn’t opt for chicken marsala went home happy.

Great food, nice atmosphere, friendly and attentive service. The pepper encrusted tuna was very good. My wife enjoyed the prime rib. I highly recommend the seafood and steaks over the more traditional Italian dishes.

just… no ok, the wife and I have been disapointed on several of our«date nights». So it was my turn to pick and I thought I would pick a safe choice. We’ve been to Nirchi’s 3 – 4 times in the last couple years. Its never been«great«, but after the last few dinners out«good» would have been a welcome change. My wife had the fettichini alfredo, it was wayyyy to salty. My wife commented that fact to the server and she remarked that«I think its jar sauce and thats the way it comes». We dont even use jar sauce at home, having jar sauce served at a restaurant is simply unacceptable. And now to my dinner, Ill admit it im a sucker for a «high end» steak. I ordered the aged ribye steak. My steak wasnt aged, it was just old. We skipped dessert(i just wanted to leave). We ended up salvaging the evening by grabbing a couple of slices of pizza from the Hess Xpress(chix speide pizza, very good for gas station pizza) and a trip to friendlys for a banana split.

I was visiting a supplier in Johnson City and was recommended to visit this place. Its a great Italian Restaurant. It was busy on a Tuesday evening. The food was awesome. I had fried calamari for appetizer, salad, and chicken Parmesan. Did not try the wine, but the list looked good. The thing that made this place a 5 was the Teramisu. One of the best I have ever tasted.

This place is unlike every other Nirchi’s. It doesn’t really make sense, but the Nirchi’s people established a halfway decent sit-down Italian restaurant in Endicott. The place caters to the elderly and the business crowd. They have a pretty decent bar, which attracts the ‘let’s hit happy hour after the board meeting’ crowd. The food is actually really good. The menu is quite large and features some Italian classics(pasta, veal), as well as some great seafood appetizers and a nice selection of steaks. The food is fresh and flavorful(unlike Number 5). The wine list is probably second best in the area(second to P. S.). They have some interesting selections that don’t cost a fortune and it seems like whoever buys their wine certainly knows a thing or two about California reds. They also have some of the expensive stuff(Stag’s Leap, Opus One) if you’re celebrating(or if you’re just a rich snob :-)
