This dr. Does not have a good bedside manner at all. I don’t feel he really listens to you. He usually will just change or prescribe more meds. Lately he’s been better. The people who work in the front are not very helpful aside from one person. The people in the back offices are always talking loud and Complaining about all sorts of things. So rude! The rest of the staff are very nice. That’s what makes the visits better.

I’ve had better and I’ve had (much) worse.
When I moved to LA, I asked a good friend of mine, who grew up in the valley who her doctor was. She told me that her whole family had gone to Dr. Weingarten for many many years. Without asking anymore questions, I adopted him as my PCP. After a few visits, I brought him up to my friend’s mom, who told me that he wasn’t «the best doctor» but they just stuck with him over time. I felt a little betrayed that I was given a half-​hearted recommendation. Then again, if you return to a doctor for so many years, how bad could the experience be?
That is just it. I would go back. I would recommend him. But I wasn’t willing to drive back into the valley after moving to Santa Monica just to keep coming to his offices. However, my friend still makes an even longer drive from Santa Monica (and has since she moved from the valley 3 years ago) to return. After going to Dr. Cho, the bar has been raised too far to come back here…
