Alejandrina is great! First started going to her a little over five years ago on the recommendation of a friend and, boy, am I glad I did. She’s great at zeroing in on trouble spots and really responds to your individual needs. She’s also just an incredibly nice person who cares about the health and well being of her clients and has given me a lot of great tips to keep me from having to visit her too often (like using a foam roller which if you don’t use one already, you’re missing out — you can thank me later). So whether it’s just to relax or for a tune-​up after a few too many hours (or days) spent slouched in front of my computer screen, Alejandrina always sends me away feeling rejuvenated — and ready to go slouch back in front of my computer screen.
BTW — She also does shifts over at The Massage Place in Sherman Oaks.

Wow, I am blown away. I just got done getting the worlds best massage and all I want to do is write a review!
I was so lucky to be able to book a last minute massage, literally called 15 minutes ahead. I choose to go with Naan and boy can I tell you she MASTERED the art of massaging. Her technique was one like no other, she really made an everlasting experience. No massage on an island or on vacation could compare to what I just experienced.
Also, I generally like a quite massage. But Naan was able to educate me and provide me with helpful tips. She is more of a healer with magical hands, rather than just a masseur.
Thank you for such an amazing experience I cant wait to return.

Clean and professional. I’ve been here twice and each massage therapist was very knowledgable. Tammy is great! Pays attention to the problem spots that I previously communicated with the receptionist.

Really clean and organized. Was able to call the morning of for an appointment. Really great ladies working the front and I arrived early and got taken back immediately. Great massage, first healing and a little pain in the Thai massage, followed by the relaxation. I really needed it.

Went in today for a relaxation massage for my first time with a friend. Carolyn was an amazing massage therapist, very sweet and caring and took great care of me. I had a very good experience. Spent lots of time on stressed out areas like I asked on my paper. Very clean environment, lovely people and the prices here are reasonable and affordable. I cannot wait for my next visit at the massage place!

Friend bought me a gift certificate for Mother’s Day. I had to come see Paul today, and use it. I was lucky to get in at 11:15 he was booked all day. I had a 60 minute massage, which of course wasn’t enough for my aching back. He always does his best and makes me feel great. I will be coming to him for life. Ventura Boulevard is pretty crowded today.

I have found the best masseuse ever, Lonnie! I came with a very sore strained back and her massage was excellent! I got so much pain relief from it! What great find. She knows what she’s doing. It was a deep tissue massage which is what I needed for relief and she was sooo good. The place is actually very stylish and cute out front & the receptionist was beyond welcoming. I just kept thinking where did they find her as you don’t see that very often. ;-) Super nice girl. Going back next week for sure. Thank you Lonnie.

Today I received massage from Aniko, very polite, not overly friendly, she took her time, she asked questions that was pertinent to the services I requested. She did an excellent job, I got a full one hour and the price was right. I will definitely be back for more.

I couldn’t be more happier! I just got my back waxed from Harleigh and she did an amazing job! She’s so gentle with her waxing and well educated. Oh did I forget to say she’s amazing at Brazillians also! Girls you can’t go wrong with her! She will be my go to girl.

I cannot say how well my entire experience was with the Encino location. First I am on the phone with Levi, who took the time to speak with me and book massages for myself and a friend. He didn’t once catch an attitude with my indecisiveness, and yet, was cracking jokes! LOVE HIM!
Second, the other reviews had helped me decide who to book as I’ve been looking for a good masseuse for awhile now. Paul sounded like a good person for deep tissue, and he did not disappoint. He ended up giving me a combination of deep tissue, Swedish and Thai! LOVED IT!!! He giggled every time I squealed in pain… No pain, no gain right?!
Lastly, the place is clean, staff was responsive, and you cannot beat the prices! The discounted price isn’t because they have lack luster staff, but because they don’t have the frills of saunas and jacuzzis… they pass those discounts to you! In turn, you can give your masseuse a well deserved tip! If you don’t want to be disappointed, Paul and Miss Bea (who my friend saw along with me on our first visit) are certified, bonafide, massage-​afide experts!!!

I have been here several times and have a great experience most times. It can be a hit or miss on whether you get a person to give you a massage the way that you particularly like it. Sometimes you get to know someone you like but then that person leaves for one reason or another. I like being able to get a massage without the spa features. They were great at accommodating my aunt who is blind and mentally retarded.

I love this company. I have been to almost all of their locations and they are awesome. Clean — friendly — accommodating and the therapist know their stuff. There is a therapist for every one (if you like firm — they got it. Soft — they got it).
I usually go to Lonnie (she’s incredible) but she wasn’t available so I booked a different therapist and I left unhappy — the owner, Brian, apologized times a million and took care of the situation. This is the type of customer service everyone should be giving. Incredible.
I feel very grateful for the kindness. Also grateful for the incredible massages. Great work!

I give up on this chain. I have bruises all over my back. I came in for relaxing massage and felt the lady spent more time trying to get knots out. Oh well off to Burke Williams.

I have been in need of a massage for a loooooong time and after another long day, I decided to come here because I’ve had it bookmarked for a while now. It seemed legitimate, it had great reviews, pricing was good.
Wrong. While this place may look nice, it lacks quality. The two different people I encountered at the front desk (one before, one after) both emanated an unprofessional air. Pricing most likely is within a lower range because their massage therapists aren’t consistent with quality.
I left feeling very underwhelmed. I had wrote on the form they had me fill out that I wanted the focus to be on my neck, shoulders and lower back. The massage therapist who worked on me spent a lot more time massaging my legs than those areas. Additionally, she wasn’t consistent with the pressure she applied. This was a total waste. I’d recommend going somewhere else.

For a spartan massage this place is great. I came here once and liked it enough that purchased their 3-​pack massage specials. That was good enough that when my sister was in town I treated her and my mom to massages too. They became repeat clients after that.
The place is clean and simple. It costs less than say a fancy pants spa, the sheets on the massage table aren’t as silky to the skin as the Equinox spa, but the massages are pretty good. And I always walk out feeling significantly more amazing then when I walked in. I will say it all depends on who does your massage. Once you find someone you like stick with them. The first time the massage was good, but not so amazing that I needed to stick with that one person.
I try and get a massage as often as I can, but they can be out of my budget, so this place is great because it’s way more affordable. There are no silly membership plans that you are forced to purchase, the people are friendly.
Important Tip — Call to book ahead. They usually can do same day appointments, but I find that it’s easier to get in at the time I want if I schedule in advance.

So, yeah, I love this place. I’ve been going once a month for the last few months and Susie just worked it out tonight so I had to officially declare my love for this spot.
I love everything about Massage Place — it’s clean, super affordable and everyone there is so friendly. For $ 47 per hour (before tip) people might be worry about the quality but don’t be — this is the real deal. If you’re looking for a luxurious spa experience, this is not the place for you. This is a no-​frills shop that guarantees a great massage each time. Everyone I’ve had so far has been very attentive to my needs. They always spend time on my problem areas and engage with me to make sure the pressure level is just right. I especially liked Susie today because she went above and beyond to help me stretch. I’ll definitely go back to her again! It hurts so good.

I have never asked someone to ease up in a massage. I like SEVERE pressure and got just that! It was also mixed with some relaxing strokes, as well.

…SHOUT OUT TO LEVI AT THE FRONT DESK! He makes me smile so much. He is very polite and helpful. He truly is quite a character. Not who you would expect to be working at a spa. The whole experience would not be the same without him. Please stay for a long while!

I have been regularly going to this specific location since 2009. I looo-​oo-​ooveee The Massage Place for their low prices yet extremely talented and skilled masseuses. The front desk crew have always been super helpful and patient, especially when I call in last minute. They’re well staffed with masseurs enough that they can usually accommodate my need for a 60-​minute massage within an hour or two of me calling. I also appreciate that they aren’t sales-​y and don’t try to push packages or subscriptions on you, like I’ve heard other competing massage companies try to do.
This is my favorite of all the Massage Places (and I’ve been to the Sherman Oaks, Santa Monica and Overland branches as well). It’s the most modern/​nicely decorated location with the *easiest* parking– they have an underground parking structure for the local businesses in the building and they’ll validate if needed.
This place is also impressive enough that I’ve purchased a couple gift cards to give to friends and family. Easiest cheap gift ever. I’ve referred many people here and am happy that they too have become regulars at this location.

This was my third time getting a massage that’s not at an Asian parlor. I would have to say that it was a good experience n it is one that I enjoyed!!!
The place: I gave it a 4 star. It was a little small n it was carpet up n it was located next to a big street. Christina greeted me as I walked inside. Inside, there were I think 8 individual rooms. The bed was comfy and it was heated so that was a good added extra.
The masseuse: I got Nika as my masseuse. She was great, very friendly and informative. Before the session started she asked me if there were any pains that I have been experiencing ect… after we brief and agreed on what types of massages, she left and I got ready.
The aftermath: I felt great and relax afterward and was glad that I gave this place a try. If you r looking for a massage that is worth your $$ look no further. This is the place. It is very reasonably priced, rooms are clean, and staffs are friendly.
