When I was a child, my late Shanghai born and bred father used to tell me stories about strange medical practices that cured all sorts of ills in his native China. I am here to testify that these methods work !.
We are two generations of women who have benefitted from acupuncture and TCM and specifically the knowledge and expertise of Dr. Ping Gu. Approximately 20 years ago, my mother was Dr. Gu’s first patient in America. Newly arrived from the Far East, she was referred to my mother by her internist for sciatica so severe it was life altering. She was given two options, surgery, or life long confinement to a wheelchair. After just one session with Dr. Gu, she was able to walk for the first time in almost a year. After several months of treatment, she was cured and has never suffered from sciatica again.
I made an appointment with Dr. Gu in late June 2014, when 20 years of chronic stress as a single mother of four, and other problems of living reached an unmanageable level for me, resulting in constant emotional turmoil as well as stress related skin issues. I am holistic and homeopathic as well, so chemical methods of stress management were never a consideration for me. Like my mother I too noticed almost immediate relief following my first acupuncture session. While my skin issues have taken a little longer to respond, Dr. Gu has restored an emotional balance, and a sense of harmony, and stability I had completely lost over the years. Through a combination of massage, acupuncture and herbs, I now have a sense of well being I have never known before .My partner and mother would be the first to testify as to the accuracy of this statement, marveling at the change in my temperament and ability to maintain grace under fire.
Dr. Gu is a cheerful, accessible and patient practitioner of acupuncture and TCM. She holds a medical degree from the University of Tokyo as well as a Phd. in Chinese medicine from Shanghai University. I’m a strong believer in DNA and the way in which it manifests in our lives. Dr. Ping Gu is a born healer, millenniums of TCM and ancient Chinese secrets flow in her blood.

I Have gone back several times to Dr Gu. I no longer have problems with my pinched nerve or with my ganglion cyst. I highly recommend her.
