I have heard horror stories about the care here. I have a family friend that was a patient there. They do not care for the patients in a timely manner and they leave them to watch tv from their bed or sofa or to sleep all day. It is a very sad and depressing environment and is not recommended that you leave your loved ones there.

I could not help but notice the«review» of Tamera V. She is an employee of Encino Living and the only reason she visited the facility was to collect money. She was not there every evening that I spent with my parent. Nor was she there on the weekends. Her daughter never came to volunteer, just to talk to one of the residents for her«community service» for her school. There is no entertainment except one day for one hour. KS wrote her review the same day, which leads me to believe that she is just a shill. I stopped by the facility at 8:30 am and found that my dad was put to bed in his clothes! No shower! He had about 12 caregivers in the 10 months he was there. Once I found a caregiver sleeping on the floor in his room, while listening to music on his headphones., He lasted one more day. keep your parent close to you at home. For the price I paid per month, I could have paid a caretaker at home without worrying about my parent’s well-being.

AVOID. If you have any love for your family member AVOID this place. «Management» lies(entertainment? crafts? games? barbecues? TV), cannot keep a staff, everyone is frightened of Michelle. Shira G.‘s review says it all. This place is frightening. Run.

DON’T be deceived by the initial impression. Looks nice, but rather negligent staff, absentee owner, and the kind of place that would rather drug the tenants during the day and darken the rooms, than stimulate them. Just stuff them with filler kind of food. And then just get them to sleep. Only 6 tenants but caregivers are grossly overworked doing laundry and cooking with work shifts that force them to sleep when they probably should be awake. GET A CAMERAINTHEROOM(hide it if you have to). As long as you can afford the excessive $$$$$ price, just get a nurse at home!!! Staff turnover in just a 9 month period was about a dozen different caregivers… they last about a month. No consistency except for maybe 2 exhausted workers. MOVEON. It is my opinion that the tenant will live a lot longer NOT here.
