Camp Encino

This camp is awesome, my son has loved it since day one! Made his summer much more enjoyable. The staff I’d friendly and always goes above and beyond!

Love love love Camp Encino! The kids go on field trips, the staff is super attentive and loving. I am so grateful to live in Encino and be able to take advantage of what the Parks and Recs dept has to offer!

My 6 year old daughter just attended this camp over winter break for the first time. She already has said she wants to go back this summer. As another Unilocaler mentioned, the staff really makes this place. The overwhelming majority of staff seemed to be teenagers. But that’s fine by me. It’s a really stellar group of responsible, kind, silly young people. I like that the kids get a good mix of indoor and outdoor activities: playing in the park across the street, doing a craft in the auditorium etc. Snack is provided by the camp, which makes my life easier. And compared to many other camps, it’s very reasonably priced. The one thing I am not crazy about is that they give kids candy occasionally. But I know other camps do this as well and in the big scheme of things, this is tiny. Furthermore, the kids love it. I think every day here ends with energetic camp songs. Call me old fashioned. But I like this. One last note: between my two kids, they have attended nearly a dozen camps, maybe more, in the SFV. This is a great option.

This place saved my sons Summer. We had been going to other places and none of them were right –Either they had too few kids, a crappy facility, awful location or just staff that didn’t care.
And then I found Camp Encino… our summer savior. My son now looks forward to camp. He can’t wait to show me the projects they worked on that day am makes a new friend almost everyday. The best part about this camp, the staff actually cares. The whole staff cares. When I first heard of this place I called with some questions and the women who answered the phone spent much time answering all me questions and making me feel comfortable.
We have found our summer home.
