Sadie tidland is a exceptional hair stylist. She’s been my hair stylist for almost two years and I am super happy I found her. Fun chick with amazing talent. Her colors and ombré’s are flawless. I highly recommend if your in search of a new forever hair stylist.

I have super fine hair and it isn’t getting any thicker. :/​I have had some really bad experiences with stylists bleaching my hair and either frying it or leaving it a dingy shade of orange/​brassy blonde. So, I am really slow to trust my hair in someone else’s hands. I am so happy to have FINALLY found a stylist that can give me the exact color and style I want without frying my hair!
Sadie is amazing! She gets the color right every time! No corrections needed. :D Yay! She always double checks that she understands exactly what color/​style I want and only uses products or recommends styles that will work the best for my hair type. She is the only stylist that has ever given me platinum highlights without any brassiness or crazy damage. Every time she does my hair I love the results!
Sadie loves what she does and genuinely cares about getting the look right for you and keeping your hair as healthy as possible in the process. I wouldn’t go to anyone else. :) Thank you so much Sadie!

Sadie is undoubtedly in her element when coloring. I sought a colorist for over a decade that would take my plain Jane brown and turn me blonde. Even the spendy trendy Portland salons would shy away from lightening my hair; I left either too red or with highlights but not an overall color I was happy with. For the first time ever, I feel GREAT about my hair. Sadie’s confident attitude of «let’s do this» isn’t just brovado, she IS that good. Many friends and family have commented that I look like I’ve always been a blonde and it’s thanks to this lady. It’s a shame she’s working in Encinitas now… she’s left a lot of heartbroken customers in Portland. And she has to fix our bad color jobs whenever she’s in town ;-)

I just came in for a hair cut, from Dana. I had very long hair and hadn’t gotten it cut in years due to some bad experiences. I LOVE the length and style. Dana was sensitive to what I wanted and didn’t go to short or push anything on me, which has happened at other places.
I would recommend this shop, and Dana, for anyone who needs a cut or new style.

This salon is awesome. I’ve been going to Dana for years & even traveled from Redondo Beach just to have her cut & color my hair. I would trust her with anything she did to my hair. Don’t waste your time trying anyone else!!! Dana is a true colorist. Salon is clean & everyone is very friendly.

I couldn’t be happier to have finally found a great hairstylist in San Diego. After a recent traumatizing experience with another hairstylists, that basically left my looking like I had a mullet or a terrible 90’s haircut, I came to Krissy in need of some serious help.
Krissy was great about getting back to me and made communicating easy through texts. She even evaluated the situation by having me take pictures of my awful cut and looking at what she had to work with in order to schedule the right amount of time for my haircut. She got me in quickly and when I met with her she immediately knew what the problem was and explained what we had to do to correct it. Krissy was very understanding of my concerns and made great suggestions, she truly understood the difficulties of thick hair. In the end she did a great job fixing my bad layers. I’m truly looking forward to my hair growing back so I can schedule more cuts to continue the process of getting my hair back to where it once was.
If you’re in need of a great stylist, Krissy is your gal!

Dana has been cutting my hair for years and it always looks great and is easy to manage as well. I have my hair in a short pixie cut that is easy to switch up.
I found her after another stylist at a different salon made my hair look like a boys cut. She fixed it right up. I highly recommend her or anyone in her salon.

This place is awesome. Great vibe awesome location with ample parking and ocean breezes ! Dana is great my mother would drive from L.A. just to have her do her hair. Now that Kristen S. Is there even better. Great line of products. Fun, talented, knowledgeable staff !

Dana always does a fantastic job on my hair. I have very thick, long hair and she takes the time to hear me out and get the cut exactly how I want it. She is extremely talented. I always leave feeling great and I don’t trust my hair with anyone else. Call her and make an appointment. You won’t regret it!

Kristen is one of the best stylists that I have ever met. Every time she does my hair it comes out looking even better than the last time. I am 100% always happy with what she does for me. I come out of the salon with silky locks and ready to conquer the day. Come by the salon and giver her a shoutout and she will make your precious locks look like something out of a magazine!

Love love love love my hair! Krissy (Kristen), formerly of Detour Salon in Encinitas, recently moved to station salon just down the road. Kristen is by far the best stylist I’ve ever been to. She is super collaborative asking me and showing me pictures of hair styles and colors She thought I’d like. She also super talented. She helped fix some old stylists bad haircuts and most recently gave me back the volume, shine and dimension my hair was lacking. The salons products are also great. They are all paraben free and easy on colored hair. Hate to give up my secret to beautiful hair, but Kristen deserves to be known as a top stylist in San Diego.
For those that care, the parking is also much easier at station salon than detour.

I highly recommend Shannon! I’m a blonde and she saved my hair from being cut too short, and looking damaged which it is. She has done blowouts that are absolutely the best. Amazing scalp massage and my favorite has been her keratin treatment. Additionally she has amazing energy that’s honest and real. She’s definitely an expert and her craft. I’m so fortunate to have someone that saved my hair! Thank you Shannon!
