By nature I am sensitive and intuitive, and I find appealing the principle behind feng shui of creating greater harmony in your personal space. Over the years I’ve dabbled with its application around my house by reading books and inviting over friends with some experience who can offer suggestions. I’ve experiencing varying degrees of satisfaction with the results. Then I move, and the process begins again.
When Sheea mentioned training with Amanda Collins, I was intrigued. A neighbor recently moved into a space that had been transformed by Collins, and when I visited my neighbor for tea one afternoon, her 500-​square-​foot studio apartment felt like a palace of tranquility. I mentally pinned Collins’ name as a future note to self.
My own efforts to increase the harmony in my home of two years have gone in fits and starts. It takes a long time to get to know a place and intuit how to improve the flow of energy. Sheea came over and gave me a consultation, and her insights have speeded along the process of achieving my goals of more peaceful flow.
For example, one corner of my living room has felt «off» since we moved in. Initially I wanted to hang our family photos there, but then reconsidered because the corner somehow felt too dangerous. Sheea explained that corner is, in fact, where it is best to place family albums or photos, confirming my initial intuition. Sheea also explained that corner has a bad energy crossing that can be remedied by with 45 pounds of metal, such as dumb bells, placed inconspicuously under the sofa. I added the weight, and when it feels right, I plan to move our family photos.
Another dilemma that Sheea helped me solve is where to hang our many works of art. I move them around, trying to find the right space for each piece. Now with clearer insights into what types of colors, shapes and materials support each area of my home, it’s easier to identify where each piece feels best. Sheea has saved me a lot of time and frustration.
There are many other cures and suggestions that Sheea gave me, which I will implement over time as money and thought allows. I look forward to making the changes. Likewise, I feel that I understand my house better, and that’s an essential step to improving any relationship!

Sheea Beth Shafer gave my house a Feng Shei evaluation. She was able to walk into my home, make some recommendation of front room, dining and kitchen layout and how to «open it up». I had several parties since, and EVERYONE comments on how much better the space is, more relaxed, engaging, etc… Love the change.
