The coffee and food here is excellent, much better than Starbucks. The staff, however, are incredibly slow to take your order and listen to what you are saying. I have the simplest order ever: Black iced coffee. I have to specify to them that I want«No room» and other Bullshit. There are 2 – 3 people working here when there is a line of over 5 people. Worse, the staff take their sweet time with each order. Last time I was left awkwardly standing in the only line waiting for someone to do I don’t even know what. Then I was directed to another line for no apparent reason. The Thai food restaurant across the street is literally faster than this place!

I actually became accustomed to Peet’s located on the same block as my sisters place in NorCal. Apparently, Peet’s is all the rage up there. I did grow a particular fondness off the almond milk they made available in their coffee drinks. It’s much better than soy or coconut offered at Starbucks. So I was pleasantly surprised to find Peet’s in San Diego! Yay!

I am a fan of the barista’s and clerks who work at Peet’s. That said I am not a fan of the new Mighty Leaf tea they now sell at Peet’s. Just today I walked 1.5 miles to Peet’s for a decaf hot tea. on my 1.5 mile return trip I took my first sip of the hot liquid. What a total disappointment it tasted like watered down half and half. I know it’s my fault because I had a similar experience with the new Mighty Leaf Tea a couple of times before. So other patrons beware if you’re looking for tea try elsewhere. This will be the last large hot tea i buy at there. I am not a fan and probably will never be of The New Brand Mighty Leaf Tea.

Peet’s has by far the best coffee. This location also has very spacious indoor and outdoor areas to sit. Top notch pastries as well, especially their cherry filled one. The staff is friendly and aims to please. If I ever have to wait(and it’s never that long) they will give me a card for one free beverage! It’s true the parking can be crazy, but I think it’s definitely worth the couple of extra minutes.

This is a nice coffee shop tucked in the back of the shopping area next to Trader Joe’s. I was there on Friday afternoon so it wasn’t busy. It had nice sitting spaces, including the outdoor sitting area. It was a good place to relax and do some reading. With the free WiFi, you can do some works here and no one would bother you. Coffee here was good although I have yet to try the coconut white chocolate mocha, which I had heard rave reviews. Peet’s coffee existed even before Starbucks so it has a long history of serving dark roasted gourmet coffee. I enjoyed my Mayan Mocha today. Will try their coconut mocha next time. The baristas were friendly. All in all, I liked my experience and will come back again.

Good coffee, nice baristas, and free wi-fi. I’ve been able to make some work calls inside and no one seems to notice. I prefer it to Starbucks down the street as it’s a little bigger and empties out towards the afternoon, though consistently busy with folks after their mid-afternoon caffeine boost. Parking can be a pain, but that’s what you get with Trader Joe’s being so close. There’s a bike rack nearby too, if that’s how you get around.

This is a solid Peets, located in a really busy shopping center next to Trader Joe’s. This location is actually pretty convenient, especially if you are getting tires done at the nearby discount tire. The service is extremely friendly and the product served is solid. This location is actually fairly large and has indoor/outdoor seating along with free wifi, which is perfect for getting some work done. Overall, a solid place to get you tea and/or coffee fix. Pros– Location Friendly Consistent Outdoor seating Free wifi Price Cons– Seats fill up quickly Peets doesn’t have a rewards program

I’ve been here a couple of times now and really enjoyed the visit. Last time around was a quick grab and go. This time I was able to sit and take it all in. As mentioned in previous reviews, it’s a pretty busy location. Parking is packed and the register has a fairly constant line. While there are plenty of tables and chairs both inside and out, I was hard pressed to find anything open and available. I found a single chair and table outside. Soon after, I noticed someone seated at the window inside start packing up. I slid inside and grabbed a spot. Staff here were very nice and helpful. Service was quick as well. I ordered a rasberry mocha. So good. Love the addition of the flavored syrup. Overall a great coffee house experience. Keep on Unilocal’n!

Always nice, sweet and just happy looking workers make your day! Coffee is awesome, as expected, but sometimes the service makes a big difference, and you just never want to come bake to the same place again, this is not one of those places. Love all about this Peet’s location.

This is the first time I’ve been to this location. I usually have a good experience at Peet’s but this occasion was lacking which is why I felty the need to do a review. The new girl at register lack any personality. Yes, that’s how I know she was new… She stares at you with a blank stare expects you to tell her want you want without a greeting or a smile. She didn’t say anything either after I ordered until she realized I was going to stand there waiting for her to say something. At that point she finally said that my order would ready«over there»… Still no smile. She wasn’t rude but I have to say most people who have this job at least have shown some customer service courtesy. Three stars because coffee is good and the guys making the coffee were more likable. Maybe some people would not care about this girl but I go in for a coffee as a treat and to have a nice encounter with friendly people. She’s about as stale as two week old bread. Service counts just as much as the product.

I’ve been coming to Peets for years, and it is my go to place for coffee in the area, and I think I’ve been to 90% of coffee shops in the area. Not only can they nail a good espresso drink day in, day out, but the drip coffee is quality in my opinion. I also appreciate they sometimes host a night crowd, or small group that seems to be jamming out on the rare night I’m in area. My only star can come off as at the peak times it takes them a while to help clean up, and I think they often serve the drip coffee without giving it enough time to settle. The first cup of the brew is not the same as the last. Regardless, what more can I expect?

Came here and and they were offering a seasonal cinnamon hazelnut latte special. I order it(around 10:30am) and they were out of the hazelnut. I ended up ordering a cinnamon vanilla latte half sweetened«for here» so it would be in a mug. I also ordered a walnut muffin. My drink I got from them was to-go, fully sweetened, and I got my muffin 15 minutes after I ordered. I’m not a coffee snob but somehow my whole order wasn’t communicated very clearly. I also overheard another customer telling the barista she ordered hers«for here» to be in a mug as well. However the one thing I must say is all the staff there were very friendly. They all looked like they enjoyed working there and were very pleasant to interact with. I was there for about an hour working on my lap top(fyi WiFi is terrible) and they would go from no line to 10 ppl in line out of nowhere. They worked very fast and efficient. Gotta give them props for that!

Great quality-much better than Starbucks and you can taste the difference with the first sip. Everyone who works here is incredibly friendly, going out of their way to make sure you have a good experience. The service is prompt and attentive every single time. I love how spacious it is since they have the outdoor seating area as well as inside, it feels less crowded and it just has all over good vibes.

They have the nicest staff ever. Went in 1 min after closing and didn’t realize it. They did everything they could to offer us something to take out. They sure didn’t turn us away and deny our welcome. This happened a couple months ago but didn’t get around to commenting on it until now. Definitely THUMBSUP! :) The drinks we brought out with us were really good too!

As a dutiful blogger, I post up in coffee shops around town for laptop mega-writing sessions. Peet’s Coffee & Tea was my office away from my home office this week, and it has served me well! I downed that Vanilla Latte like my life was depending on it. Translation: me likey. When I went back for more, I decided to spice things up in my life and diverge from the same old, same old. I tried an almond milk latte, and I didn’t hate it. It’s no Vanilla Latte, but it was really good too. Conclusion: Solid option if you want to pop out of your house, enjoy free wifi and work on your laptop. There were a few other people here with their laptops too, but still plenty of tables and seating available when I arrived.

This is a great Peet’s with plenty of interior room and front patio. I came to get some work done for work and try their new Maple Freddo( ) they are now offering with a dollar off with a Unilocal check in. The best way I can describe the maple freddo is breakfast in a cup.( ) The maple flavor was strong and the drink reminded me of a waffle loaded with maple syrup and whipped cream.( ) I liked it, especially the frothiness of the drink, but I could not drink it regularly because of its sweetness and heavy maple flavor. For me it is a drink to have every once in a while. Probably when I have breakfast on my mind. What I really liked about my visit to Peet’s was the great customer service, the strong Wi-Fi, and the comfortable available seating. Don’t get this Freddo mixed up with that cute green frog…

This place is just the best. What a concept. A coffee chain, where the coffee… TASTESREALLYGREAT. Service is awesome, and while this parking lot can make you want to pull a Michael Douglas in Falling Down, it’s worth it for a cup of iced coffee. Even if you brew at home, this shop has a really amazing selection of beans for all walks of coffee life. And they’ll grind it for you, but you should own your own grinder. C’mon. Sincerely, I wish they would replace every single on of those you-know-who-i’m-talking-about chain stores where the coffee tastes like someone put a fresh cigarette out in it before putting it on the bar, with a Peet’s. Holler.

Same great coffee that Peet’s is known to brew — and the same GREAT service! Came in while running errands in the area and while the parking can be a bit insane with Trader Joes a few doors down, once you sip on that warm cup of coffee, it’s so worth it!(kinda — that trader joe’s parking lot is a cluster!) The service here is great and what I love most about Peet’s — every location is as if it’s a a local, mom & pop /small business, coffee shop. All employees are very personable. Quick to start up conversation and just… pleasant! Thanks Peet’s — you guys are the best!
