I read all the reviews of this place before I booked and thought it was really going to be nice and was super happy with the rate of $ 88 and $ 99 per night for the two rooms I need. Looks nice from the road then you think it’s going to be nice and clean because it has new paint and new windows but then you get into the room and OMG! The walls are filthy! The cupboards have food spills in them and the drawers had rodent droppings in them! And the kitchen sink had food reminants in the drain hole. Not sanitary in the least ! This was the condition of Both the rooms I rented so I know it wasn’t just an isolated problem. Gross. It did amaze me that the bed linins did appear very clean but who knows about the blankets? and there was no trace of cleaning fluid type smells(like bleach or cleansers). Will definetly never go here again. Old doesn’t have to be dirty! Kris P

For $ 60 a night for two people, this place was amazing! Expecting a slightly janky place to sleep for the night, we opened the door and were surprised to see a spacious room with a full kitchen(4 range stove/oven, microwave, full-sized refrigerator, dishes available), a private back porch with a table, two queen beds, and even paintings that weren’t super-corny. Nothing pretty, but for $ 60, it was a great deal. I could tell it was once a trashy joint, but they sure have cleaned it up. Well-lit, quiet, no funky smells, friendly owners, and a ton of beautiful plants all over. Glad we found this place.

Man have times changed in the hood. This place used to be one of the Leucadia motel dumps. I mean skanky to the max… It changed hands a few years back and now It is actually pretty decent. No more needles in the hallways or full-time residents. The rooms are actually clean. It is also within walking distance to Beacons Beach It’s really a class 1 – 2 star hotel but I give them an extra one for getting their #$%# together and cleaning up their act. There is also a little cute Japanese Tea House on the premises now. Locals gotta love that.
