Tried ordering online and after calling to confirm order due to no email or Confirmation number, I was told no order was placed. I then noticed a charge on my credit card after going and getting dinner. I called to complain and as told dinner was On its way… This was over 2 hrs later after previous order and call to confirm… After asking to talk to manager I was told he’s NEVER in and I wouldn’t be able to talk to him!!! Never Never order from them.

TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE Now OVER2 ½ HOURS Credit Card HAS been billed and NOFOOD. We made the mistake of placing an order online. It said 75 min. Okay, we can deal with that on a Friday. Called after 75 min and order was never made. We finally get the manager on the phone who proceeded to HANGUPONUS. How STUPID are we to think this might work for us. I read other reviews after ordering and thought this might not be a good idea but thought we would be open minded about the place and the food. Bottom line I WOULDRATHERSTARVETHENORDERFROMTHESEPEOPLE.

Best cheese pizza in Encinitas! Love the thin crust and just the right amount of cheese!

Capitalism… You’re doing it wrong. I stopped by to buy a slice of pizza only to be turned away because they accept credit cards only if you spend more than $ 5 – 6. I said ok but I just want a slice and basically they let me walk out without a sale. I find this incredible. How do you turn away money and also lose a customer for life?

So, my awesome husband walked about a quarter of a mile while he was waiting for his tire to be repaired at the incredibly helpful Discount Tires. He was excited to try a slice of the advertised«Giant New York Pizza» since we always drive by but have never stopped in– he was greeted with more than underwhelming service which he would have dismissed but then when we presented his debit card he was told he didn’t meet the minimum amount. So, he could either: 1. Buy another overly priced of pizza that he didn’t even know if it was tasty. OR 2. Not buy anything. WTF?!? So… FYI you’re A BUSINESS! Or are at present you are but won’t be for long if this experience and treatment of your customers is customary You’re running a freakin’ pizza place in Encinitas in a suburban pseudo-strip mall next to the Police Department-with severely overpriced pizza by the slice. $ 3.99… for A SLICE?!? When down the street there’s Blaze, Pizzacatto and other places to choose from it would probably be in your best interest to offer your patrons a reason to come back or stop in at all. Unfortunately this experience has precipitated the former for us, we won’t be returning.

I love the pizza here. There are some great choices! «The York’s Pizza» and«Popeye Pizza» are my fav. The one and only thing is that they are a one man operation and sometimes deliveries are very delayed — hence the 4-star rating. Get more delivery drivers and you’re a 5-Star :D

A must try. Not a big fan of thin crust but this place has my opinion about thin crust changing if I have it from here… Decided to dine in and try their 14 inch margarita pizza. It was super fantastic! Comes off oily, but the wife and I didn’t mind the grease. The Basil and thinly cut tomatoes provided a superb aroma of freshness of how pizza should be. We also ordered onion rings and 12 piece nuggets both frozen items but nothing bad about them. Costumer service was professional and friendly. Dining in, well it’s bit small but nothing to drop stars for! Will be returning…

Would have been nice to actually rate their food, but I never got a chance to due to their complete lack of competence. Placed a delivery order through Eat24…15 minutes later get a call from Eat24 telling me the restaurant can’t find my address. Hmmm… I was like, huh? Google map it… very simple, never had any issues with anyone finding it in the past. Even the guy at Eat24 found it on Google maps first try. So the Eat24 guy said he’d call the restaurant back and try to explain it again. 10 minutes later I get a call back saying the morons at the restaurant still couldn’t figure out my address! WTH?! So I say, fine I’ll call them directly. Call twice and no answer. I even get a «please enter your remote access code» message as though it was someone’s home answering machine service. Frustration is building. I call back a 3rd time and finally get someone. I explain my situation and the guy on the other end of the line cuts me off and says, «sorry we’re too busy, I can’t help you.» WHAT??? AREYOUKIDDINGME??? I said, «I placed an order online and they said you couldn’t find my address so I’m calling to try explain it to you and find out what the issue is.» He had no desire to help me let alone listen to me, rather just kept saying he couldn’t deliver the food I ordered 40 minutes ago because they were«too busy.» Frustration level in the red! Needless to say I was floored and had a few choice words for him. NEVERWOULD I EVEREVENGIVETHISPLACE A SHOTAGAINWITHTHATKINDOFTERRIBLEATTITUDE. I don’t understand how they are even in business. PLEASEAVOID!!!

This place has terrible and rude service. I got an ad, thought I would try it. It was two pizzas with two toppings. I ordered them. Literally two seconds after ordering and paying, I asked if I could have a little extra sauce on one pie, the guy was so rude and said he would have to cancel the whole order, charge me extra and start again. I told him to forget it and just leave alone. I should have just cancelled and left, but had already paid. When I got home, one pizza was correct, the other was totally wrong they left all the toppings off. I will never go back there, this place is terrible, rude and just average pizza, if made the way you order, which is questionable.

Very good New York style pizza. A very warm and inviting little place. Extremely friendly owner who seems to really care about the place. This place is a little hidden gem here in Encinitas. Please try it, you will not be disappointed.

Felt like staying in for the night when we received a menu for this pizza joint. Ordered a 16″ vegetarian. The pizza was delivered on time, but I disliked not receiving a receipt for my credit card purchase, as I was asked to just sign blank receipt paper. The crust is crispy and buttery. The list of ingredients should provide a flavorful combination of taste, but fell flat for me. I’ll probably order from another neighborhood favorite next time.

We ordered two pizzas every Friday night for almost 3 years, and sadly the last year has been very disappointing. Tonight was our last order ever. My wife and I always laughed when we ordered because it was like it was our first time calling, and we had to repeat our order several times to get it right. In the last year, we had several mis-orders, getting the wrong size(always bigger and more expensive) and finally tonight they failed to honor a coupon, not telling me there was a minimum delivery fee. I called to request they honor the coupon, and spoke to a very belligerent kid who took my order, then a even more belligerent manager. I decided it was my last order… then I took a bite of my under cooked pizza. Wow! That was gross! Avoid at all cost!

I think their food is mediocre. The guy working the register seemed confused when I asked him what salad dressings they had. He only said«Italian», and looked like he was trying to think hard about the rest. I asked if they had a balsamic dressing. He said yes. I took my garden salad home(which had a couple of nasty wilted and slimy pieces of lettuce in there) and there was a container of BALSAMICVINEGAR. Not dressing. What kind of person would think I just put balsamic vinegar on a salad?! Gross. I’d rather just have the Italian dressing if I had known he was just going to put some vinegar in there. Don’t know if he was thinking clearly about that. I don’t think I’ll be back, especially after paying almost 9 dollars for a bunch of slimy lettuce and balsamic vinegar.

For $ 5.99 a pie, it isn’t too bad. It is better than Dominos and Little Ceasers. Without the $ 5.99 special(take out only), it gets kind of expensive. We had a coupon from their website for $ 15 for two pasta dinners and they would not honor it, which is not good business. They said«they changed their menu two weeks ago,» even though the expiration date on the coupon was for three weeks from now. A good owner would have said that they would take the coupon. I would not go out of my way for this place, but if you want a quick, cheap pizza, you can probably do worse.

This place is pretty good. We stopped in on Labor Day to grab a slice after having driven by this place dozens of times. The pizza itself was greasy, but pizza is supposed to be greasy. I’m a pepperoni lover but we opted for one of the house specialty New York Works pizza which was loaded with toppings. It was pretty good. The crust is really thin, living up to its New York heritage. One thing that I also appreciated was how nice the guy working was. The place itself is tiny and actually reminds you of one of the little slivers of pizza shop that you encounter in New York. As the guy was ringing us up and directing us to the silverware and drinks, I felt like we were regulars even though it was our first time there. He was making polite conversation and was just really great. Prices were reasonable; not cheap, but not expensive. We will definitely be back to grab a slice or to grab a pizza to go someday soon.

Decided to try a new pizza place tonight, we typically always go with either Flippin Pizza or Manhattan Giant Pizza. I got a regular old«large» pizza, Their«White Pie». I felt the pizza was just okay, but not that great(or even really good). I used their online ordering system which was pretty seamless. They let you choose to pay via cash at the door, credit card online, or Paypal. They also give you the option of tipping on your card or tipping via cash at the door. FYI: The menu and prices vary slightly from location to location. Also the Encinitas location tacks on a delivery charge of $ 2.50. I got a time quote of 45 – 60(on a Wednesday night?) for delivery and they took the whole 60(plus 5 extra) minutes. There are a couple of other pizza places in Encinitas that are much better than here. Given the pizza was only average, they took the whole 60 minutes(on a Wednesday?), and the pizza was room temperature by the time I got it… two stars and most likely I will not go back.

First timer: Needed a quick dinner. Went in and saw they had pizza by the slice. Got two, they were ready in under 5 mins. Were nice and crispy, not floppy… Not greasy! Pros: –They deliver to Rancho Santa Fe!!! — Quick Service — Not just pizza options — Clean inside Cons: — A bit expensive to add topping. $.75 for an extra topping on a slice — Understaffed and understocked

The slices are large, it kind of reminds of New York pizza in Banning. But at Banning they not only get the size right, they get the flavor right too. This where Giant New York fails, not miserably, but a failure nonetheless. While on the way to a furniture store, their sign caught the corner of my eye. I asked my GF if we could visit the pizza place after we were done browsing. There was nothing to indicate that they served pizza by the slice, but I had to check. I walked in and asked if they sold slices and the cashier said yes. I ordered a cheese slice and crossed my fingers. The slice was large but the red hot pepper flakes on the table were brown. At first I thought it was potpourri, but I was assured that it was, indeed, red pepper flakes. As far as the slice was concerned, it was flat, chewy and warm. I prefer a mild sauce with a strong cheese, crunchy crust, and burn the roof of your mouth temperature. Giant New York made a giant mistake. There are a mix of reviews for this place, but if there is one thing that I do know it’s that this isn’t New York-style pizza. This pizza has more in common with Little Caesar’s or Chuck E Cheese. If this place were open in New York, it would close in a month. Unless they had a weekly lease, in which case they’d be out of business in a week. At least the cashier is friendly…
