Breakfast is always really good(which you can order all day). Lunch and dinner is nothing special. I got the battered shrimp– can’t say it was it especially good. Every time I order from their lunch and dinner menu I’m always a little disappointed. But the atmosphere is good, generally offers fast service.

Crackel Barral is just uhhhhhh. It’s so good it’s bad not saying it’s bad but it’s really good the service is wow, the drinks is wow, and the food is WOW! And the raspberry lemonade is really good if you a tangy, sweet, sour kind of person this drink is definitely for you and the haft pound cheeseburger it might be messy and huge but that is one of the best burgers I ever tasted in my life. So this week if your look for somewhere to go go here.

So the reviews for this place are kind of low and I started to keep going, but my spouse who is the voice of reason reminded me that we have eaten here before without incident. So long story short he was right. They were very full and had a large tour group, but seated use quickly. The waitress was speedy and refilled our drinks often. The food was warm and presented at one time. They thanked us for joining them. I was in such good spirits that I splurged on a few things from the shop. I love the shop and it fills me with a sense of nostalgia that defies logic. I seriously can’t be left to browse too long or run the risk of buying unnecessary items.

We were a bit hesitant to stop because of the poor reviews but very happy we did. We were seated right away and brought drinks quickly. Our orders were taken and My soup was brought out immediately and to my delight, pipping hot! Just how I like it. The vegetable soup was really good and I was very pleased. Our food came before I finished my soup-very fast! I had the grilled chicken salad and it did not disappoint. My hubby had the cod platter and was quite happy. Fried but not greasy or «fishy». The coleslaw was delicious. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The others working were quite pleasant as well. Next time we’re in the area we will stop. Don’t let the other reviews scare you!

Horrible service and dirty dining room Our wait for a table was less than 15 minutes on a Saturday nite and near a major interstate exit… not bad on the wait however, that is about the only positive thing to say here. There was trash on the dining room floor and the table we were seated at was sticky as if cleaned with a dirty rag. The waitress took a long time to bring drinks and I had to ask for straws for the kids and a spoon to stir my coffee. Our dinners came out absent the muffins and rolls the waitress had twice promised. I asked the older boy how his food was and he replied, «Gee Dad, I would tell you if I had some silverware to eat it with!» And just to get the younger one moving, I had to give him the only spoon we had that I’d been using for my coffee. I flagged down another waitress and asked her to get some silverware. I saw ours wandering around absent mindedly in the kitchen area. Finally we got some utensils and our waitress showed back up and said, «I hear you’re upset about something». Rather than escalate a bad situation, I told her we now had our silverware. Then as we neared meal completion, she sauntered in with a plate of rolls. Horrible service and unsanitary conditions. Food quality is what you would expect at a cracker barrel so I suggest driving on to the next exits if you are hard over on going or alternately, try the Carolina BBQ joint next door.

Always an excellent choice. If you go to this location our server was Lexus and she had 4 stars on her apron. She was excellent and made sure we had everything we needed and kept us posted on our food order. I had the New England clam chowder which was very tasty. Also I ordered the grilled chicken house salad. A quick and satisfying meal while on the road. Of course, if you have the time play a round of checkers with your company and browse the country store to find the latest seasonal offerings for your home. Quick on and off from the interstate, reliable food and service with a smile. Cracker Barrel.

This was, by far, the worst dining experience we have ever had. It took over an hour to get our food on a non-busy evening. When I went to tell the manager that we were leaving, she assured us that our meal was ready to go out and she would pay for our dinner. I was glad she paid for the meal because it was so horrible I would have sent it all back: the ham was so salty it was inedible, the chicken-fried steak was cold as was the gloppy, thick gravy, and the meatloaf was mediocre. Even the biscuits were bad. The turnip greens were the only redeeming item. When I went to put tabasco on my fries, the plastic shaker top was missing and I ended up pouring hot sauce all over them. The waitress laughed and did or said nothing to rectify the fries. Ruining my meal is not funny. We left, food uneaten. Avoid.

Came off the road today eager to sit and have lunch at 1:30 p.m. With many empty tables we were told there would be a 10 – 15 minute wait before being seated. When asked if we could just sit at a table to wait, we were told no. As cross-country travelers we are accustomed to waiting at Cracker Barrels during busy times, however, this was a first for us… not being allowed to sit down. The reason was that the kitchen was backed up. With half the tables empty, they need to regroup in the kitchen. Not great customer service. Went to another restaurant and spent that 15 minutes sitting and ordering.

Stopped for lunch on trip south to Raleigh. Much better than fast food and great shopping.

Don’t you hate it when the meal doesn’t match the picture? Ordered strawberry french toast and surprise! No strawberries. Now the one back home had lots of strawberrys on their french toast. One of these resturants made a mistake. Maybe Ray Charles is working in the kitchen and he couldn’t find the strawberries. We should have better luck at the next resturant.

Tried to eat dinner here with my wife. Was seated and waited over 10 minutes without anyone coming to even take a drink order. Others were seated after us and waited on. Finally went to see about getting a server. Manager came and instead of offering help served up excuses rather rudely. Travel through here a lot but won’t be stopping.

We came in late and even though you could tell the staff was tired, everyone was pleasant and helpful. Our waitress Shona was great! She even burned herself and came right back out to see if WE were alright. The food was fast and obviously hot. Country Fried Steak, Chicken tenders, Country platter and a Bacon Cheeseburger. All very well done

Hadn’t been to a Cracker Barrel in years so decided to for lunch. Sat immediately, but no one arrived to wait on me gave it 5+ minutes then left. Not worth it!

Met my brother for lunch and it was great. Haven’t been to Cracker Barrel in a while but so glad I did! We definitely enjoyed our meals and the waitress, Racquel, is a gem. She was so patient, sweet, and went above and beyond to ensure we were enjoying our dining experience to the fullest. My only suggestion is to have more vegetarian options but aside from that everything is delish!

Came in at 8pm and it’s 9:15pm and still wAiting for our dinner. People who came in 30 minutes after us are eating already. Asked to speak to the manager and she’s on the grill. Poor us. If we were not driving all day traveling and cranky I may have been more tolerant. But I really haven’t seen our server jasmine the whole time. We finally got our food but no one has come by at all. Jeez.

Horrible food and service was slow to non existent. Place was practically empty yet nothing in terms of why food was taking so long. Not even an offer of biscuits or drink refills. When did get the food tow out of three of the plates were horrible. Left hungrier than I came

Stopped here on a road trip. Got seated right away. Staff was quick but friendly. Food arrived as ordered. Our family is a bit unusual on composition. The waitress asked if we wanted separate checks but we politely declined that offer.

Clean ambience and close to I-95/58 toward Norfolk. The food is always good: try the Trout fillets, is delicious.

Awesome waitress who’s been working here for 10 years. Great prices for the portion! You’ll definitely find something you like! Also, it comes with cornbread and biscots. next to the apple need, mcdonalds, etc but this is definitely a more homemade choice for restaurant!

Yummy Cracker Barrel is always good because most of the food is already cooked and all they have to do is played it and bring it out. Obviously with the exception of pancakes and eggs that things like meatloaf chicken and dumplings etc. are already cooked. The prices are good and the food is very much like homemade. If you are on the road and you do not want fast food this is a good place to stop and eat. I think my favorite is the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and carrots, I also like to get a side salad. If you have never been to a crack about you need to go and check it out. The other fun thing about the store is in the front they have lots of things for sale such as candy from many years ago that you cannot find anywhere else.

Not the biggest fan of Cracker Barrel, but I’ll say this, we were starved by the time we got to this one and had to eat. We went in were seated promptly, had a great waitress, and the breakfast was pretty good! Enuff said!!!

Stopped for lunch on the way towards Hampton Roads. Ordered the buttermilk battered chicken, served with a honey and pepper dipping sauce. The dipping sauce was great. It worked for dipping the chicken and was good on the muffins too. Service was prompt and the wait time minimal.
