If you need any sort of sweet treat for a dinner party, birthday, shower, anniversary, wedding or for ANY reason, Karri at Sugar So Sweet is your ‘Go To Girl!’ You might have seen her at the Emmaus or Macungie Farmer’s Markets over the past several years with her super cute ‘Sweets Cart.‘ Due to her constant stream of customers and the increasing demand for her product, she has chosen to put down her roots right on the downtown Emmaus Triangle with her brand new ‘Sugar So Sweet Café!‘ Every day, she not only offers her regular yummy sweets like cupcakes, pies, scones, cookies, muffins and minis(pies and loaves). Now she has expanded to offer daily Brown Bag Lunch Specials too! They include a ‘main course’ which alternates daily from fresh-made wraps and sandwiches to salads, soups and quiches to local delicacies such as homemade chicken pot pie, cabbage and noodles and savory homemade Mac & Cheese. Customers can choose a bottle of water or small coffee and a piece of fruit or bag of Utz chips. Her specials are always listed daily on her Sugar So Sweet Facebook page( ) Many of her lunches incorporate fresh, organic ingredients straight from her fellow vendors at the weekly farmer’s markets — local meats, fruits & veggies, and locally made breads. Hand-squeezed lemonade and orangeade are my faves, but in the morning I always kick-start my day with her delicious, locally-roasted One Village Coffee. She can also make you a healthy fruit smoothie, and iced or hot chai, or a fancy hot chocolate as the weather starts to cool. There is also a nice loose tea selection. Seating is limited to two cute wrought iron bistro tables in front of her store, or you can sit anywhere right on the Emmaus Triangle. The main function of her new retail space is for ‘pick-up’ and fast, easy ‘grab and go’ lunches. Karri is willing to consider special orders and always has a smile on her face when you stop by. She loves getting to know her customers on a personal basis. I highly recommend her for all your sweet needs AND as your ‘go to’ lunch stop in Emmaus! Plenty of parking right in front of her shop too!
