Cloud Nine Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork

Let’s just say it. I’m going to say it. Are you ready? This is THE best massage I’ve ever had. I have had MANY massages throughout my adult life… at resorts in Mexico, Jamaica, DR (OK that one was REALLY good), and all through the US in many fabulous cities. But here I am saying it… I went back to my little hometown and received a LIFE CHANGING massage. I will be going again in a couple of weeks… probably every four to keep me in shape.
I have been having INCREDIBLE AWFUL back pain, with upper shoulder pain and spiraling into my lower back, bicep and down my side into my butt. It has NOT been fun. It’s hard to sleep and even sit at my desk. I was crying last Friday afternoon and missed some classes due to this pain. I called my dad and he said «I’m not telling you again. Go see Amber.» Wellllll… she got me in right away, we talked about my ailments, mostly caused by stress… and she worked me out. She gave me a full body deep tissue with hot rock massage, concentrating on the areas of significant pain, though not causing MORE pain. She advised on some stretches and even sat me up and stretched me out by standing behind me and pulling up and out on my arms and shoulders.
She admitted that she «didn’t quite get it all» but she really did make such a difference in my life. It was also affordable — $ 65 (cash only) for the appointment.
The advice and experience didn’t «end» after she gave me the massage. She advised me to buy apple cider vinegar and told me to bathe in THAT night. She said it would bring those toxins she worked out up and out of my body so they would not settle back in and in about two days I’d feel new again. I promise you, literally almost two days later exactly I felt new. I am still a bit sore… but I think it’s b/​c I need a bit more work.
Well worth my drive to good olé Elwood! I mean, I cannot wait to go back. I’m considering making an appointment this week.
Amber is a genius with her hands… and her post-​massage advice. She understands muscles, pain inducing life troubles and stress in the neck, head, spine, legs, arms, etc. etc. etc. I was truly impressed. She is IN TUNE to the human body.
Her little spa is right on the corner of 11^th and Main in Elwood. It’s an older home that you may confuse for someone’s actual house but it’s her office. She is incredible and I highly recommend a trip to see her if you have a kink you cannot get out.
