** Scam. Rip off. I took a 10 year old bike to this shop to have it tuned up. I needed to use it for three days. I explained to the shop owner(can recall his name) that the bike has been sitting for 5 years and the tubes are probably no good. I paid about $ 75 and picked up the bike. On the third day of use the tires were totally flat. I pulled the tubes and they were original 10 year old tubes. Not sure what a $ 75 tune up was for. This shop is a rip off.

I am a recent first time customer of Sam’s. My bicycle needed some light maintenance and repair work. I brought my bicycle to the shop first thing on Saturday morning of a holiday weekend, and was able to pick it up the same day in the late afternoon. The staff was friendly and cooperative. The work was done well and reasonably priced. I am a fan of Sam’s.

My wife had a really bad accident on her Bianchi last August. Broke her c7 neck, 4 ribs, deep cuts, etc. and was Medevac’d to Hackensack University Medical Center. The Bianchi frame was in really bad shape. A friend told me it was likely totaled. Rob did the impossible. He repaired the bike, bending the frame. It looks like it was never in an accident and actually seems to ride better then before. He likely fixed some other issues will the Bike. Rob is a miracle worker and I can’t thank him enough for fixing the bike and his encouragement that helped my wife get back on her bike. She is now riding a Schwinn hybrid purchased from Rob and is back riding only 6 months after her accident. The Schwinn performed great on the TD5 boro bike tour 40 miles and rode 70 miles two weeks ago on the Ride to Montauk. I highly recommend this Bike shop.

Great place. My family had been buying bicycles from Sam’s since it opened decades ago! The owner and his son are super nice, and really know their stuff. It’s the only place I’ll ever purchase from or get my bike serviced at. Plus, they only sell top quality brands, not the garbage you get at Walmart.

Recently made a $ 300+ purchase here for a bicycle. The store manager was helpful, made recommendations for what I was looking for and was happy to make seat adjustments, add ons I requested during the day — Had to go back to pick it up but it was ready when he said. I bought my daughter’s first pink tricycle here in 1986 — the only bike shop I could find a pink Schwin and that was exactly what I purchased a few weeks ago. They guarantee their work and cover most normal problems for a year. He was friendly, accommodating(sorry, I forgot your name) and I plan on going back for more accessories. I would rather shop in his store than a retail store even though the prices are steeper than Walmart etc. It isn’t the store you shop in for a cheap bike — If that’s what you want, this is the wrong store. They have a good assortment from recumbent bikes to tandems to unicycles. Give them a try!

Stopped in here on the first nice Saturday of the Spring and it was very busy. My husband needed a new tube in his bike tire. Instead of turning us away, they helped us right away and for $ 10 we walked out with it fixed. A week later, the tube was popped. I expected to have to go through an argument with the owner over the situation, but he said over the phone to just come right in. He didn’t remember us, but gladly replaced the tube and said the tape should have also been replaced which is what caused the issue. He didn’t charge us for another tube(only charged for the tape) and we haven’t had a problem since. Overall, the price was right and it was a pleasant customer service experience.
