Venuti’s Deli

Walked in not expecting much. Walked out with an outstanding fresh turkey sandwich. Turkey was moist and flavorful, not ice cold, with L&T and just the right dollop of mayo. Vary satisfying lunch from an old-​school place with a family-​run vibe.

This is a family run business, when I say family I mean, mom, dad, daughters, son/​son in law.
They make a mean Sangweech! When I say mean, I really mean great!
I keep coming back for the Dragon Coaster, the Judge That and the Balboa.

I go here for lotto and the bacon egg and cheese only, it’s legendary.

I work at nearby local business and we order from Venutie’s almost religiously. They are always fast and friendly with their delivers. The food is always excellent and very fairly priced. They also make a mean breakfast sandwich!

Way back when I was a kid Venutis was the place to go with my dad on the weekends for lunch or just my yoo-​hoo and andies candy. It has been here for as long as I can remember. I went there yesterday figuring I would grab a sandwich on the way to work, walking in was like a flash back, the place looked the same but now it was dark, aged and in need of some serious renovations. I ordered a sandwich from the special board, that contained roast beef, american cheese, lettuce, tomato, and coleslaw. It took some time for the woman at the counter to make the sandwich since she was yapping with another co worker while making it. The sandwich was wrapped in tin foil and when I grabbed it to take with me the whole outside was covered in mayo ugh!!!, I asked her to please wipe it clean and bag it up for me and went on my way. When it came time to eat it 20 minutes later I opened the package to find the whole sandwich COVERED in mayo from the coleslaw making it wet, slimy and to gross to eat, she did not build the sandwich for a person to eat it things were just slopped together on the roll with no concern. (see pic of sandwich). I see no need to come back here again there are plenty of bodegas, and delis that make much better sandwiches.
