Robison Oil

I have been a customer for many years and have been on an automatic oil delivery. This system works well and I have never been without oil. When I noticed that my Water Tank had broken and my basement was full of water, I immediately called their Service Department and within two hours they had someone at my home. The tank was disconnected and a new tank was ordered and installed the next day on a Saturday. Both Mike in the sales department and Frank in installation worked to get my hot water working again with lightning speed. Courteous and professional they were just great.

Our condo complex has been working with this crappy oil company for several years. I say crappy b/​c that’s exactly what they are. ON several occasions we actually ran out of oil (most recently this past Sunday) b/​c they have a ridiculous service called auto-​refill where they «guess» when you need a refill based on last year’s oil usage. Well their «guess» has been off several times resulting in cold showers and freezing homes. As the new mom, this past winter I had to pack up my 3 month old and head to a restaurant for warmth. This morning (a Monday), my husband had to take a cold shower while coming down with a cold. The owner could not get us any oil until later in the morning which resulted in several owners being late to work. ok, so you can shower cold but after a hot weekend in NY especially when you pay your bills should NEVER be an option. Would I recommend these idiots to anyone? HELL NO. Needless to say Robinson has no lost our account. Save yourself the drama and pick any other company. unless you enjoy cold homes and cold showers.

People, People!!! DO NOT SIGN ON WITH THIS COMPANY FOR OIL!!! I know better now so I am going to spread the word, They will fill up more than your contracted amount and charge you market rate. You can find cheaper elsewhere!!! DONT DO IT!!!

Robison oil is a company full of scam artists and cons. I am a first time homeowner and have entrusted robison for oil two years ago. The account manager Mike stated that in a 1200 foot home I should use 700 gallons of oil per year. This was a scam in order to overcharge a first time customer. Don’t fall for it !!! After you burn through your 700 gallons which they give you at a settled rate they will sell you any overage for about 5 $ a gallon because it was not procured for you haha and your already in the middle of winter when this happens. The customer service is horrible and the sales reps all have different info to sell you. Mike the account manager is condescending and he scams with the best of them. They contract you for a certain rate and offer no ceiling plan which means that I settled at a rate of $ 3.84 on March 2014 and payed $ 3.84 for oil on March 2015 even though oil at this time costs $ 2.90. Everyone else adjusts to oil prices not Robison, they want every last cent and they are going to need it because they should be out of business soon. Please check the BBB complaints on Robison before purchasing.

I am one of their gold members. I always thought they were a pretty good company. Very dependable. Until today. Our furnance breaks down during the night. We call them at 7:30 in the monring. We’re told a repairman would be here in 3 to 6 hours. Fair enough. I call after 4 hours to get an ETA. I’m told there are two jobs ahead of ours. 4 hours later I call again. I’m told were the next job and the repairman is in our town finishing up. Another hour goes by. I call again. Now I’m told I must have misunderstood, the repairman had just arrived at the last site and they had no idea how long that job would take. So, I am now 9 hours into this with no idea when someone will come to even take a look at the boiler, let alone repair it. The house is down to 50 degrees and I have to wait until they have a better idea of when the repairman will arrive. If you need oil, they’re great. If you have an emergency, not so much.

Do not do business with Robison Oil. It has been over 6 weeks since I closed my account with Robinson. Despite numerous phone calls, speaking to supervisors, etc., the company will not return almost $ 400 that I am owed. Each time I call, I’m told it’s being processed and that it can take up to 30 days to return the money to my credit card. It’s now well over 30 days, but it is STILL not processed. Needless to say, whenever I got an oil delivery, my credit card was charged immediately. I am now forced to contact Visa and my attorney to see if they can get Robinson to refund MY money. This is NOT how customers deserve to be treated. This is the FIRST time I have ever written a negative review of a company!

They are top notch when it comes to repairs they are very thorough and clean repairing my boiler

1^st year customer with this company, my account manager was excellent and I got my oil deliveries for the contracted amount on time, but now I received an oil delivery in MAY that was NOT asked for and not under the contracted amount when the weather has already warm and now it is my responsibility to pay for oil I did not ask for, beware of this company because they will deliver excess oil without your notification and tell you it was under automatic delivery when I have told them on numerous occasions I will call for oil when it is needed, I will let all my customers and all my friends know about this game that this company plays to get rid of excess oil and the customer ends up with excess bills and Robison does nothing to correct it but tells you there is a miscommunication but you still have to pay for our screw up. Very disappointed in this company and will let everyone know unless corrected

We recently made a mistake and sent Robison a sizable check for oil we had already paid for. These guys sent it back with a quick explanation that it was already paid in full and voided the check. They could have easily gone the shenanigans route, but they decided to keep it honest. Big plus in my book.
Also the deliveries have been quick, clean and courteous. Very pleased with Robison so far.
