Tattooing by Richie

This place is magic, there’s something lost in many «studio» style tattoo shops today. Not this place! There is literally thousands of designs to choose from, or get inspiration from, and a staff that’s ready to help but not «in your» face. There’s free parking right in front of the joint too! There’s a good reason why Richie’s has been around for so long, they’re doing it right!

0 stars if i could! The guy james does not take recommendations well! my brother was getting a shoulder piece done which the james said took 2 hours to draw up… it looked like something my little sister drew in 20 minutes… the placement of the tattoo did not fit my brothers shoulder and when i explained that to james he rudely told me i didnt know what i was talking about. Anybody can see where a shoulder is and anybody with half a brain could seee how crappy his drawing for this piece came out. Extremely disatisfied with the way he reacts to a simple suggestion about moving the stencil line higher on his arm. ON TOP OF THAT! We emailed him pictures of what we wanted, when we arrived he claimed he never got them and drew something else up that was totally different than what we even wanted. For his rude attitude towards a customer who is gettinf a life long change done, he was not accepting of it, he has now lost the business of my family who were all looking for tattoos and most deffinenty any friends of mine. I truely believe he is not skilled enough nor does he have he proper people skills to work anywhere in this busines. DO NOT GO TO JAMES!!!

Beautiful old school décor, friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, and some really unique talent all live in this magical shop on Long Island. I came here to get tattooed by Karina Monzon, who is a unique an incredibly talented and dedicated artist. The tattoo she drew for me exceeded my expectations, and her execution of it was perfect. I highly recommend checking out Karina’s work. This place is what tattoo shops were like before the Internet, and I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to visit a living legend. Do yourself a favor and check this place out.

So I got the cover-​up and it is amazing. Beautiful work and it covered my old tattoo completely. I never had any problems with the customer service here. Everyone is great and Mike does incredible work. He really listens and understands whatever I explain. Just got another tattoo today that came out beautiful and I am coming back to him for more. I highly recommend him.

Got my second tattoo here by Mike Attack. I only had a vague idea of what I wanted when I went in. Mike was awesome and designed something better than I even imagined. He even touched up my first tattoo and it looks better than it did new! The place is clean and Mike made me feel very comfortable. I won’t go to anyone else ever again.

Got my nose pierced here and my friend got her web pierced as well. Very good and sanitary. I felt very comfortable in the setting and the piercer, I believe her name is Mary, is very sweet. I haven’t actually got a tattoo from here but I as far as piercings go I recommend!

Back at it. Pete… hilarious. And skilled. If you want a tattoo from an old school queens boy with great stories, get in his chair. He hooked me up with a new tattoo, and while I was in the chair redid a tattoo I got a another shop I felt was prematurely fading… for 20 $. Know what that means? i am not getting work done anywhere else, ever again, Chris is still there, doing great work. My sis and I bonded over some ink, finally. They do great work here, they’re really nice and they make you comfortable. Which is good, cause my friend is a big chicken, so she’s coming back with me in December for an add on, I bet she walks out with her first shiny new tattoo!

I’ve been to richies a few times to get a labret piercing more than once one of the piercers the one who has no visible piercings or ink for that matter is nice guy but he messed up piercing the first time and I had to have it taken out and have it redone and have the other piercer mary repierce it. I got my first tattoo here the experience was great it barely hurt getting my tattoo I’ve had to have it touched up twice cause of how light the ink was in a few spots. the shop is clean and the staff is nice whenever I come in

Just went to Richie’s and I had the worst experience ever. The woman who greets you, I think her name was Mary, was rude as HELL and I think she was the manager. I have been going to Richie’s for years but now I have to find another tattoo spot. Customer service means a lot to me.

very good tattoos done here but they are a little more expensive then it should be. the customer service is so so and they dont really work well when u want them to draw things up for you. but the tattos that i did get here are still very bright and colorful
