I ordered flowers from Teleflora and this was the florist selected. The bouquet was very disappointing and not anything like I expected. I realize substitutions are sometimes made but it appears as if they substituted all the flowers that were supposed to be in the bouquet. In the future I will be sure to take my business to Phillip’s.

Let me start with saying this is my first Unilocal review. Mostly I just read other peoples reviews and go from there. Me coming to Topiary to purchase flowers for my wife on our anniversary was based on the reviews on Unilocal. It was pleasure meeting Mrs. Silvia Maino and speaking with her. The floral arrangement was absolutely beautiful. The flowers looked and smelled great. Most important my wife loved them and the smile on her face when I surprised her with the flowers was well worth it. Thank you Topiary — Mrs. Silvia Maino. Look forward to future purchases.

Topiary is definitely the best floral shop in the burbs. I decided to go with Topiary as my florist for my wedding in September. And I must say my bouquet was absolutely gorgeous!!! The colors were so beautiful and vibrant. My bouquet included calla lilis, roses, red sunflowers, and daisies. My sister was my Matron of Honor. Her bouqet had a great contrast of purples and red. Oh. And the center piece for the Unity Candle was absolutely perfect. I highly recommend brides to be to consider using Topiary as their florist for their wedding.

Did you guys catch the sequel to Edward Scissorhands? No? Well, mosey on down to Elmhurst’s Topiary and catch shop owner Silvia hard at work crafting floral arrangements fit for a Tim Burton flick, but sans silver scissor hands. Indie, imaginative, and my newest obsession. Okay, I haven’t yet purchased a topiary, as I’d already blown my Mother’s Day wad at Enzee just up and around the corner, but that’s not to say I won’t be back for one the next time I have a need for for ivy turned into an iguana or maybe a fern in the shape of a ferret… the possibilities are endless. On my latest visits, Silvia’s had the shop stocked with bears, pups, dragonflies and more, but my real draw, and also where the last few miniscule bits of money I had went, is the greeting card selection. Sounds silly? Yes, I know… but you didn’t see the cards. Or the matching mugs. The cards are photos of animals, but made to look like famous people. Like, the John Wake Great Dane, the Siamese Amy Winehouse, the Kim Jong Il Pug… too soon? I think not. Too funny? I’ll take two! To date, I’ve purchased 6 cards from Topiary. That’s starting back from my first visit 2 weeks ago, until now and I know I’ll be back because Silvia showed me the catalog and let me hand pick which famous furred faces she should get in the shop for next time. Comin’ atcha quick– Borat, Elvis, Blues Brothers, Dolly… Friends: Clear a spot on your fridge doors, you’re about to get greeted with some bad-ass cards!

My husband brought me flowers from Topiary on Monday for Valentine’s Day, so sweet! It’s Thursday and they are still so beautiful and fresh and they smell so amazing! The roses and lilies are beautiful but I also love the added greenery and accent flowers, so unique and pretty. I shopped in Topiary over the holidays and the owner Silvia is a doll! She has fresh flowers and also candles, cards and other gift items. Such a wonderful shop and a great addition to the downtown.

Sylvia meet us in the evening 10 minutes after the shop closed. A very good friend had died suddenly and we wanted to get a special arrangement for the service. We were a bit emotional. Sylvia listened to us and stated that she would create a arrangement that depicted the humor and style of our friend. She got it! A beautiful unique arrangement was delivered. Thank you.
