Been coming here for years! Really tasty Thai food at good prices. Drunken Noodles are so addicting here! My hubby pays the extra $ 1 for more noodles so it’ll fill him up. The chicken satay is good and the curry puffs are super yummy. My veg friends get the fried tofu appetizer and ask for the peanut sauce to drench that fried goodness in instead of the sweet sauce it comes with. My friends love the drunken fried rice. The penang curry is tasty and the green curry comes in a nice bowl with eggplants. I’ve also had the pad cashew chicken and pad garlic… really good and it doesn’t taste like Chinese dishes! Other restaurants tend to serve those two dishes in a chinese style, but so glad they don’t do it here. They’re friend banana ala mode is delicious, drizzled with honey and sesame seeds served with vanilla ice cream. Yum yum! Go soon… I heard the owner will change soon so I’m assuming the chef may as well… I hope not!

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this place because it didn’t look like much on the outside. I went there with my boyfriend for lunch after shopping and we got the curry puffs, lunch special masaman chicken curry w/white rice and he got Chinese broccoli w/crispy pork w/white rice. Everything was delicious. The lunch special came with a small cup of soup and two spring rolls(like Filipino lumpia). I love the portion sizes of everything, the curry puffs were two big ones and were just right! The entrees were wonderful as well. I will come back! btw. great price too we spent only $ 21 for appetizer and two lunch specials. not bad!

This Thai restaurant is almost hidden on a side street of Elmhurst’s crowd restaurant row. If you did not know it is here you’ll miss it. This area of Elmhurst stretching from Corona Ave to Baxter Ave is packed with great food choices and this one of them. I have not been back for dinner in over 2-years and happy to see the food is still great. Dinner consist of– 1. Beef Drunken Noodle($ 7.25) — delicious and tasty; beef is a little over cooked. 2. Crispy Pork Kana($ 10.95) — Chinese broccoli with crispy pork belly; yummy. Overall view– The Thai food is very good, the place is comfortable and the décor is pleasant. I’m glad I returned!

I have seen this place a few times and always wanted to try. I said to Rich W. Can we go to the Thai place on Dongan Street. He said… WHERE!!! He knows this place as My Thai… and I call it. the place on Dongan Street. Same thing. The lady is pretty nice. Explaining anything we had questions about. We wanted the whole sea bass but they ran out so we opted for the Crispy Pork with Chinese Broccoli and the Drunken Noodle. LOVED both. I love Chinese Broccoli and wide noodles. Two of my top 20 favorite things. I can’t wait to come back to try again but there are so many other places to try in Elmhurst. Dilemma, dilemma! If I want to come back. that is a good thing! Service was really really sweet and nice.

I’ve been to Thai restaurants all over the city(and country) and this has become by favorite. I’ve only recently discovered this place but in my 3 visits I’ve never been disappointed. I’ve had the red curry, pad Thai, pad see ew, basil chicken and papaya salad and all have been excellent. My wife and son don’t like spicy food and the restaurant has always been accommodating. The staff has been friendly and service prompt. I don’t have an issue with the size of the portions as others have.

Are most thai restaurants small? Appetizer: Vegetarian spring rolls was small to me. But all spring rolls seem to be decreasing in size so I guess this is normal sized. Papaya salad — not bad. I enjoyed it. The size was decent too for the price I paid. The dressing was actually the correct one. Not that spicy compared to other papaya salads. Their rice is served in a heart shape. But the amount of rice did not compliment the amount of green curry vegetables that I ordered. But I guess that is good, because then I had lunch for the next day. I just had to make rice. =D Overall, not a bad place for thai food but for more authentic thai, in the neighborhood, I would walk a few blocks to 67st. The design of mythai is pretty cozy for a hangout.

My Thai definitely ups the ante for the conglomerate of Thai restaurants all tightly packed along Broadway. On my quest of finding the best Thai restaurant in Elmhurst, I can place My Thai in the ranks of Nusara and possibly Chao Thai(I’m still debating if their food is worth coming back to). The Chicken Curry Puff($ 4.50) complimented with a cucumber pickle sauce was purely amazing. Filled with chicken, onions and a thick curry sauce made for one delicious treat that I could keep coming back for. They reminded me of a Thai-version of an empanada or beef patty, two of my favorite quick snacks. The red onions and cucumbers fermented in the fish-like pickle sauce had just enough sourness to cut into the light pastry puff. Yum!!! The Pad Crispy Pork with Fresh Chili($ 10.95), sauteed with fresh chili and onion drew a lot of excitement. What I got were 15 pieces of indeed crispy pork albeit being dry and slightly chewy. Nor were they very fatty. They were just okay. The onions, green and red peppers, and scallions did help to cut some of the dryness away, but it just didn’t seem to impress me. The small container of red chili pepper did amp the spice level of this dish, but it felt more like an afterthought. I would have preferred the spice to be infused in the pork, although I know not everyone loves heat like I do. When it comes to crispy pork in Elmhurst, Nusara still reigns supreme. Pad Drunken Noodle($ 7.25) with Beef. What you get is a perfectly cooked flat rice noodles that have a soft texture and do not clump or stick together. The noodles did a very good job absorbing the sweet and spicy flavors combined with the sauteed egg, bamboo shoots, onions, red & green pepper, and basil, which make for one of the better pad drunken noodle dishes that I’ve had. My only gripe were the portions. Most of the dish were noodles with less than 10 thin slices of beef. My Thai’s flavors are all dead-on, with complex layers of sweet, spicy and salty. Quality is definitely on par(with the exception of the crispy pork), but quantity will leave you disappointed. All portions were about ½ to ¾ filled. Enough to satisfy your appetite but not enough to leave you feeling extremely full. Some may look at this as a good precaution while others may feel jipped. To each his own.

I judge Thai restaurants by their Penang Curry and from all the Thai restaurants I’ve tried around this neighborhood, i.e. Boon and Chao Thai, Spicy Shallot – My Thai has the best Penang Curry ever. Their curry is not too spicy, the way I like it, but I’m sure if you want more spice, they could add more. I just ask them to make it mild because I can’t take the spiciness. Although they don’t give you as much as Chao Thai(the plastic round container for take-out is filled to the brim) My Thai gives you probably a little more than half of the take-out round container. I’d wish they give you more rice but you would have to pay extra for white jasmine rice. Overall, I really like their food. Their décor is nice and is fitted for large groups of people. Their prices are a bit more than other restaurants in the neighborhood but you’re paying for their authentic food. Their Thai Iced Tea is good too, but you can’t really go wrong with that drink. Highly recommended. Parking is a hassle if you’re going on a weekend due to limited meter parking but if you don’t mind walking, then come on by!

the food is very good! i expected more spice from the drunken noodles, but i found them to be sweeter than im used to. The whole fish with sweet chilli sauce was really crispy and delicious, the chinese broccoli sauteed with salted fish was so flavorful, i forgot which fried rice we ordred, but that too was a little sweet, and the fried calamari was good, although i’ve never had a bad fried calamari… service was friendly, but considering that the place wasnt that busy on a tuesday night, the food took a while to come out. we’ll be back tho!

So I’ve come back here many times since my first review(at least 20), and since then they have never given me the same level of spice on my pad kee mao :(I’m pretty upset. I said exactly what I said last time, but the most recent time I literally said, «Give me Thailand spicy, I’ve been there». The person taking our order said, «You poor thing, your going to burn your mouth!» I took that to mean I’d get some serious heat, but no, it was the most mild I’d ever had it there. I’m not sure what else I’m supposed to do. The good news is I’ve tried more items and they are delicious! The seafood rolls are really flavorful, and the coconut sticky rise is addictive. Its so sweet, and if the food were spicy would balance it out nicely. The drunken fried rice and thai wonton soup is super tasty. Their Thai ice teas are also excellent.

Let me discuss: Pad Kee Mao(aka drunken noodles) is my favorite thai dish. It is spicy and flavorful and just overall fantastic. When I first started eating thai food, every thai place I went had great drunken noodles. After a while I figured that all thai places had amazing drunken noodles. Then disaster struck! Every new place I tried had mediocre and bland noodles. Apparently I had a an amazing string of great drunken noodle places. The point of this story is that My Thai has broken that streak. These are some amazing noodles. Everything you’d want(Except maybe a larger portion). Quick review, it’s great.

I’m here right now for the first time. Lol! The service is fast, staff is friendly. So far we had the tom yum soup which is yum yum hah and calimari which is equally good. Now waiting on our main dishes. I’m positive they’ll be good based off what we got so far. Update: just had their beef fried rice and beef pad thai and man is it good. Way better than any of the Thai restaurants I’ve been to back home in Cali. Bump from 4 to 5 stars!

This Thai restaurant has been a fixture in the neighborhood for about ten years. I usually stop in for take out from time to time. I have to admit My Thai Restaurant is nicely styled outside and inside with its large glass façade and Asian décor. It is clean and exudes a comfortable dining atmosphere with just the right amount of lighting and crowd noise level. Their Pad Thai was very tasty, probably the best dish I enjoyed. We also tried the Thai styled pork with broccoli which was pretty average. Their spring roll appetizers were very good, not overly greasy. The rice came wrapped in a leaf(not sure if it was a tea or banana leaf) but was such a pitiful small portion. The service staff were very attentive and cheerfully eager to help. Compared to the other Thai restaurants in the area, it is a little more pricier, but a good reliable restaurant in the culturally diverse dining options found in Elmhurst, Queens.

Okay, it’s My Thai’s turn, I’ve been coming to My Thai whenever I want Thai food for the past 3 years. Whenever you’re in the Elmhurst area, try this place, it’s the best asian in the neighborhood, Co Co, oz and Penang doesnt stand a chance against this place. Make sure you try the Thai Ice Tea, it’s pretty good. For the décor and designs, it’s very Thai and it feels very welcoming. The sculptures and arts are rather fascinating. The food is good, nothing special, but it’s much better than the other thai restaurants in the proximity. The pad thai is recommended here. The floor and table seem rather neat and acceptable. Nothing is eyejagging and it’s just a normal restaurant. I recommend this place for a dinner more than a lunch, and the restaurant isnt too large, so the max people i’d say is around 8 per table. Happy Eating!- Brought to you by Inside Spoon=)
