So… This place is actually New Mings… Slightly annoyed because I wanted and hoped for a better place. Their food is mediocre. I don’t like the fact they use dark meat chicken in their fried rice and occasionally you’ll find a few bones in it. Ah well!

Sooooo good! I got sesame chicken, boneless ribs, special fried rice, pork fried rice, and tostones. Not all for me :) the tostones are really yummy just like Hispanic culture but you need to add salt. The chicken is huge and they were cheap with broccoli. The ribs were my favorite soooooo deleicious. And portions are huge. Delivery super fast and a lot of sauce came in bag.

I don’t really review Chinese takeout spots cuz face it, in NYC Chinese takeout is just friggin’ awesome! I mean if you lived anywhere outside of NYC, you know that’s the truth… lol…that being said, I actually recommend this place solely for the food. Service is meh… but the food is really good! Better than a lot of my usual spots. The hot and sour soup and chicken corn soup are probably the best of all takeout joints(just how I like my soup — thick and creamy!). Other than that they have a great variety of dishes on the menu besides the regular general tso’s and chicken in garlic sauce… so if you live or work around the neighborhood, order from here and enjoy!

Solid solid lunchtime Chinese take-out. They do it right, too. You can see right into the kitchen over the bar where they take your order and holler it in Mandarin(always a good sign when ordering at a Chinese restaurant) to the folks in said kitchen. Allow me a brief aside: They have real stoves in their kitchen. They have real woks. It looks authentic. The fact that they have real gas flames that actually heat to the appropriate amount of(amazingly high) BTUs to properly stir-fry in the traditional manner makes me drool. I miss having a gas stove! Like I mentioned, they belt out your translated order in Mandarin. What’s available for ordering is an impressive array(no, really — their menu is an array) of options. They offer daily specials as well. Everything that one would expect of Chinese take-out can be had here, and then some. From fried rice to lo mein to General Tso’s chicken to fried chicken(yes, they cater to those without an Asian palate), their menu truly runs the gamut. I’ve yet to have anything unpleasant here, and I’ve tried most of the traditional dishes and soups. To top it off, you’ll only pay $ 4 – 6 for your huge meal(which could easily last for a meal and a half) and a canned beverage of your choice. What’s even better? You’ll only wait five minutes for all of this. Ah, the little part of me that’s still an industrial engineer smiles at the efficiency and economy of this system.
