My husband and I went to Meatheads on 11÷14÷15 just to get a quick bite for dinner. We were planning on staying there to eat but it was a Saturday night and very very busy so we decided to order to-go. We waited in line just to order for about 15 minutes because they obviously were slammed with a large amount of people that all came in at the same time. Normally this would be annoying to us but the manager, who we later found out was Dario, apologized to the entire line of people waiting and just let us know they were doing their best to accommodate everyone. His communication with us as customers made us much more at ease with waiting in line for so long. When we got up to order, Dario happened to be helping ring people up and he took our order. My husband ordered a simple burger and Dario went above and beyond to make sure he got the best possible tasting burger by suggesting different ingredients that would complement the ingredients he already chose. Even with how busy he was, he cared about the satisfaction of every customer. We also noticed the other employee taking orders was very patient with all of customers that were still trying to make up their minds at the register and the tween girls paying in all change. We waited probably another 15 – 20 minutes for our food but we were given a cup for water while we were waiting and Dario, once again was making sure we knew they didn’t forget about all the people waiting. We normally would be upset with the slow service but the staff made us feel important in the busy dinner service and our food came out just as we ordered it and was delicious. We will definitely be back based on the friendly service alone! But the amazing burgers don’t hurt!

This place is absolute sh&t. Their employees are rude, even for teenagers. The female manager is barely older than them and very immature as well. Once we received our food it was terrible and horribly assembled — inefible. I highly recommend going anywhere but this place. Elmhurst has much more to offer than this crap.

I wasn’t impressed with Meatheads the first time I went when they first opened, but I’m glad that I waited and came back for a fresh perspective. What a difference. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and some cajun fries for lunch today, along with a drink from the Freestyle machine. I got my drink and found a table and in about 8 minutes or so my order was delivered to my table. Everything was hot, tasty and fresh, and I love how many options you have for customizing your sandwich, even the«free» included options are plentiful and enough for just about anyone to find something they like. Everyone was super friendly and I was greeted immediately when I walked through the door. I spend a lot of time next door at the Chipotle and after my experience today I can honestly say that I’m happy to add another location into my lunchtime endeavors.

Stacie(unit manager) is as seriously committed to excellence as any restaurant person I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet, and it was indeed a real pleasure. Stacie has inspired me to be more willing to experiment with«new twist on an old concept» restaurants. Dedication to mindfulness, or «thoughtful» as Meatheads puts it, sets this sandwich stop a notch above the pack. Kudos to the creators, developers and implementers(Stacie) at Meatheads. Open 7 days every week.

Great little burger joint in downtown elmhurst. The air conditioning was on fleek with the hot weather and burgers came out fast and delicous. They have one of those nifty new drink machines where you can choose any combo of drink with flavoring & have plenty of lo cal drink options. Great place for a cheap date night.

Yum burgers are always so fresh. Messy, but good messy. I like that you can build your own burger. I do the 1/3, but it comes with 2 meat patties. I wonder if they do one patty because 2 seems like a lot. Overall, staff is always nice and the place is always clean. I would say this burger place is on my top list — next to Shake Shack(okay maybe not, but close), but definitely Five Guys and Portillo’s. All great burgers, all different but up there.

Decent burger and great fries. I had a California burger($ 6.75) with Cajun fries. The California burger had avocado, wasabi aioli, lettuce, tomato and Monterey jack cheese(maybe pepper jack, I dunno). Anyways, the service was quick and friendly. The burger was too greasy for me but did taste good. I’m glad the wasabi aioli wasn’t too overpowering as I was concerned about a strong horseradish taste. I did like that the burger was on a wheat bun, which is hard to get. I’m sure this place is meant to be more of a gourmet burger place but the burger didn’t seem like a high-end burger to me. I liked the Cajun fries much more. They were seasoned but not overpowering nor too salty. They had a good taste and texture. I was also slightly amused that the dogs can come New England style, which is just a dog on a split top bun. I grew up on Chicago style hot dogs and find East coast hot dogs inferior so I though it interesting for a Chicago place to try and sell a split top dog. I tasted one of their chicken fingers and they were awesome. I’d recommend that.

I loved the fries! They were similar to in-n-out fries from California, if not quite up to that level. The grilled chicken sandwich was pretty good, and all of the toppings were extremely fresh, especially the avocado, which was the freshest we have experienced in years. Wonderful grilled cheese for my son. Friendly people. Reasonable prices. The owner couldn’t do enough for us. This place is a winner.

Love this place. I don’t think I can ever be a vegetarian cause I love me some beef! Had a spicy triple burger the other day and some fries off my friends’ baskets. It’s nice that they have an outdoor patio to enjoy the wonderful weather. It’s a great little lunch spot when you don’t have much time to spare but have a belly to fill. Will return again soon!

Awesome food. Great atmosphere. Not quite as good as red robin but a very close second. The prices are very good for the amount and quality of food.

Let me start with the employees they’re alllll so nice and friendly! I thought it was a great touch how the manager stopped at our table to see how everything was and to thank us for stopping in. Great customer service! I was invited to lunch here Thursday by a coworker/friend bc she won a free lunch from the card drawing. I went with the Texas burger and cajun fries. The cajun fries were perfectly seasoned. It was really good. Next time I want to try the chopped salad bc that looked too good. I would also like to try a chicken sandwich I heard they’re good. Ill be in here again for sure. Maybe not necessarily for a burger bc im not a fan of multiple patties. I’d prefer just a thicker piece of meat. Less slippin and slidin that way. I also loved the fancy pop machine. I wish more places had it. They even sell cookie dough! I don’t eat it but I know plenty of people who do.

The burgers here beat all the other local fast-casual burger places. The cajun fries are seasoned evenly and perfectly, unlike other cajun fries where the seasoning sticks to just one fry and the rest are left naked, shivering, and uneaten. I never order the same burger twice– heck, sometimes I get chicken instead of beef– so I’ve really run the gamut of burger orders here, and they are always delicious. Fried egg, blue cheese, avocado, mushrooms, onions, pickles, swiss, and a whole bunch of different sauces: I’m always telling the person in line behind me «Go ahead of me, I don’t know what I want yet.» The milkshakes are delicious but take a couple minutes to make(they are delivered to your table), but the wait is totally worth it. This is not«imitation milk product,» it’s the real deal. The best non-food part of Meatheads is how invested in the community they are. They have pictures of local landmarks on the walls, track local high schools’ sport scores, and donate zillions of coupons to the library’s summer reading program. This is how a real community eatery should be run.

Meatheads is delicious. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. The fries are fresh cut and soooo damn good. The Coke machine is pretty spiffy. The chicken is ah-may-zing(probably some of the tastiest chicken I’ve ever had. Ever). Oh, and the employees are all super-de-duperly friendly. I don’t frequent Elmhurst very often, but I’m glad my husband suggested this location!

In the hierarchy of upscale burger joints, Meatheads reigns supreme. If Five Guys is queen, then consider Meatheads the king. Every visit has cemented this thought in my mind: «these guys know what’s up.» Their cajun-seasoned fries are awesome, shakes are very good, and the service has always been top-notch. MAJOR brownie points for having Coke Freestyle machines(2 at this Elmhurst location), malt vinegar and jalapeño ketchup. Burgers are made fresh to order and come on a potato bun. They use canola oil, so for those avoiding FG because of peanut allergies, I would invite you try MH instead. Big thanks to the manger-type who stopped to ask me how things were. I gave her my honest opinion(that they rocked), and she seemed genuinely appreciative of the business myself and others brought at lunchtime. There are hundreds of quick-eat places that could learn a thing or two about customer service from this Meatheads. Keep up the terrific work guys!

Kudos to the marketing manager! I had an extremely bad experience at another location. And was asked to try it once more. I had a great experience. Our burgers were fully cooked and they were yummy. Chili fries were great too. Customer service was nice and friendly. Will probably go back.

Despite getting my order wrong I have no complaints. I ordered a 1⁄3 lb. burger with everything, but didn’t get lettuce, tomato, or onion. The burger consisted of two thin patties and the flavor was really great. Cajun fries were better than Five Guys. Ate too much and went into a food coma in the afternoon. As of this writing there are ninety-six restaurants in Elmhurst. I plan on eating at, and reviewing, every one. Follow me on Unilocal! Revised 5÷26÷15 — Got an email from the manager apologizing for the error. Good customer service! I still think this is the best fast food burger in town.

$ 30.69 for 2 burgers, 1 fry, 1 kids meal, 2 fountain drinks, 2 milks. Ridiculously expensive if you ask me! Could have eaten at a Chillis or other chain sit down for cheaper. If your going to eat here with kids, skip the $ 9.00 kids meal that the twins split(grilled cheese, carrots, and 2 milks). The food was just OK, burger didn’t have much flavor tasted like a typical fast food burger. I think Smashburger is much better. Customer service was superb very friendly help with high chairs, and take your plates away quickly when done.

Okay, I made it back here to give them another shot. The manager refunded my previous meal & sent me a gift card to give them another chance to make it up to me. Everything I liked about them from my first visit still holds true: –good tasting & quality food –hand cut fresh fries –lots of topping options(for an extra charge, or course) –they do a great job of putting lots of toppings on a burger(if you ordered it that way(and still making it where you can eat it without cutting it in half or making a mess of things. This was quite impressive!) –plenty of beverage options –interesting décor w/big blown-up photos of the surrounding area And they did a far better job on the things that disappointed me before: this time my food was out lickety split(granted, most of the young kids are back in school now so they weren’t nearly as packed as my first visit, but still busy), and the burger patties were seasoned properly. This time I tried the Texas Ranch burger & it was very tasty. The Cajun fries were also seasoned well, but not too much(some places dump that seasoning on, these were perfect). So you won me back, Meatheads. :-D Nice work!
