Best pancake house in all of Elmhurst and the owners are very sweet and always make sure you have what you need. Sad part is they are closed on North avenue now as of 7÷15÷15. I will miss them and hope that they find a new location to reopen soon.

We have been coming here with family usually for breakfast or lunch. The place is friendly and food is ok. We never ventured further than eggs, omelets or French Toast here, but all that we order is tasty. The owners are always here and greet at the door, and that is always a nice touch.

This is your basic family restaurant. The Denver omelet was one of the best I’ve had in town. However, there was something odd about the pancake and waffle batter. The best way to describe it would be ‘dense’. They’re not light and fluffy. Other than that, the service was friendly and the prices were very reasonable. It’s worth a visit. As of this writing there are ninety-six restaurants in Elmhurst. I plan on eating at, and reviewing, every one. Follow me on Unilocal

Good food with decent prices, however, the service isn’t too friendly. First visit — gentleman complained I was using a card to pay while cashing out, and that he had to pay a 3% fee for my purchase. It’s called the cost of business. I wasn’t pleased with that but the food is okay so I have gone back several times, but that’s something you don’t say to a customer — EVER!!!

Horrible service. Waited An hour for toast. I usually like to tip however I felt the tipI left was to generous. The food was so so. I ordered an omelet and hashbrowns. The omelet was tasteless and hashbrowns were cold. I will not be returning.

Came here because my hotel didn’t serve breakfast on Sunday after 9 am. Place was packed and it felt like stepping back into the early 90’s however, the food is great! I am a bit of a health nut so, I ordered egg whites, fresh fruit, and oatmeal with raisins and brown sugar. THEBESTOATMEAL I HAVEEVERHAD!!! I am from Alabama originally and my G-ma would probably be mad I said so but, you have to try the oatmeal!

Not bad. Breakfast was decent. I had the Friday special, county fried steak & eggs. The steak had nice flavor to it. My wife had the meat lover skillet with cinnamon raisin toast that she complained tasted«old». The waitress was really nice & regularly checked on us. The coffee was only lukewarm which I don’t too much like lukewarm coffee, I need it piping hot. But that’s fine. Reasonably priced. May return one day.

Just your basic family friendly pancake house. Met up with some family members on a Sunday morning around 0930 and found there was no wait for our party of 5. By the time we left though, there was a bit of a line as expected for Sunday mornings. The space is cute farmhouse chic and pretty clean. The menu is pretty basic… pancakes, eggs benny, omelets, scramblers, skillets. The coffee is strong and refills aplenty. Service was friendly. My basic Eggs Benedict dish was fine, hashbrowns had a nice crispy coating. We had a good laugh because the Mickey Mouse pancake is not a true mickey mouse head silhouette shape. Just one regular pancake with two silver dollar pancakes as the ears. Whipped cream covered their attempt at subterfuge.

Found this place by accident and ordered the Irish Shoe. Hash browns and a slice of Greek toast topped with hash, 3 eggs and white gravy. What a tremendous breakfast. And we even got the senior discount. I’d come back in a heartbeat.

I have been coming here for the past year and service has been steadily declining in that time. You have to flag someone down for anything you may need, they don’t check on you, they have forgotten to bring parts of my order on more than one occasion, they take forever to drop the check. I think it’s time for a new breakfast place.

Loved my breakfast at Maple Tree today. Eggs were perfect. Pancakes were size able and fluffy. Hash browns had onions. The waitress let me sub hash browns for meat since I don’t eat meat and it was no hassle. Coffee was adequate and hot. Love discovering places that are not chains. I would come back. Great value.

We went here for breakfast yesterday as we were passing through the area on errands. The décor definitely feels like it is trapped in the 80’s…and the food was adequate. I had the crepes with raspberries — the crepes were good, but the ‘raspberries’ was overly sweet raspberry pie filling that makes my teeth ache just thinking about it! My wife had the Irish ‘Shoe’ — she said the corned beef hash was good, but the one bad thing is that they overcooked her eggs. She tried to hold off eating them in hopes of getting another set cooked, but after 10 minutes of waiting for our waitress to come by, she ate them anyhow.

I’ve been going to Maple Tree for over ten years. Love the place. Today I had my favorite item off the menu, The Shoe. As I understand it, this is a dish that originated in St Louis. It consists of Texas Toast served on top of fried potatoes. Sausage patties and gravy are put on top of the toast. It is then topped off with an egg. Part of the reason I like it is because my wife isn’t a big fan of gravy and this is a treat for me. The skillets, omelets, pancakes, and steak are also very good here. I don’t think I’ve had a bad meal there.

My friends have been talking about Maple Tree since I’ve started hanging out with them. Yesterday they invited me to join them for breakfast, and I’m glad I did. I had one of their breakfast skillets. That’s usually the litmus test for one of these diner-type-establishments. If you can do a decent skillet, you’re ok in my book. Maple Tree came through. Fresh ingredients, and huge portions. The staff was attentive, but not overly so. But the nicest thing to see was the manager or owner guy was really pitching in to help out with just about everything from serving, to clearing dishes, to seating people. I like to see that sort of thing. I’d definitely come back. Simple food, good prices.

This may not be the most glamorous spot to have breakfast, but it has a lot going for it: the food and the prices and the service. Pretty good, huh? When my cousin needed one of his«let’s catch up» chats, he suggested Maple Tree. No problem, main drag, lots of parking. But he warned, meet me by a certain time for the breakfast specials. Well, okay, I can handle a need for speed. We had a really great waitress and I was pleased to see a number of new breakfast specials — trendy — for veggie and meat-eating people alike; and these ranged from 4 to 7 dollars for the meal. Not bad, right? My cousin ordered the Irish Stack: wow: a couple of eggs with french toast plus hash with onion and cheese. Though not for me, it smelled really great. I was temped with what they called a Garden Stack; but I went with the Caprese Benedict, and I’m glad I did. This was eggs with tomato and basil, light cheese and an English muffin. My breakfast was great; the coffee was super fresh(our waitress kept it coming, thank you), and my cousin really enjoyed his food as well. They were quite busy so I guess the word is out about these February meals. And for you lovebirds out there, they had ads up for Valentine’s Day specials too — not sure what that means but I’m sure red will be involved. Thanks Maple Tree, and keep it up!

Why deliver a check to the table at the same time you deliver the food?! It really just says, «I took your order and that’s the only service you are getting here». And, that is exactly what happened at the Maple Tree this morning. We were promptly greeted and seated by a lovely gentleman. After that is was all down hill. Took 5+ minutes to get a glass of water, coffee was dropped off at the table without creamer, pancakes were dropped off without syrup. Get the picture? The whole experience was just a big waiting game. They should play this matching game in the kitchen before sending food or drinks to the table…“What goes with pancakes? Syrup! Ding, ding, ding!“ The country skillet was«meh», the pancakes also«meh», the crispy hash browns I requested were a big soggy undercooked mashed potato looking heap. The water glasses are tiny and we were unable to get a refill. Boooo. The grand total for 1 coffee, 1 country skillet and 2 banana pancakes = $ 20. Expensive!

Impressive breakfast & lunch menu, great prices, good food, one of the nicest staffs I’ve ever encountered AND they have coupons via text messaging? Yes, I’m definitely a fan! Sign up for their text messages to receive their special deals — just remember show the text to your server. I’m partial to their oh-so-tender barbecued pork sandwich for lunch. It’s messy, of course, so wear dark colors to hide your drips. Their homemade soups are always great as well. I especially like the wide selection of sides you can choose from to have with your sandwich, not just your standard fries.

The service was good and the food came out quick! Thumbs up! My meatlover skillet was delicious and it came with THREE eggs, wow that’s a lot of food. I was extremely stuff by the time I finished! A great mix of ham, sausage, bacon, and potatoes! My boyfriend and his parent’s definitely enjoyed their skillet and omelettes also. This is my new go to breakfast restaurant!
