I am sorry but I just don’t get why this chocolate is considered high quality! Another example of a name brand which purports to use the highest quality ingredients but which clearly does not, have tried no name chocolates out of the dimestore that taste more authentic than this product. The low quality and overpriced chocolate along with the terrible customer service means don’t stop at this location, there is no reason to go there!

Almost everyone here(except for the kind older gentleman) should be freaking fired ASAP. Why would I write a review for a chocolate store– because they’re that f*cking bad at their jobs. Every time I come in here, there is no line. Every time I walk straight up to the cash register and the employees are too busy chatting among themselves to do anything but glance at me and continue their conversations as if I’d leave(yes I’m waiting at the register staring at you to not purchase anything you dumb sh*ts). Finally, when someone asks me if I need help and I aggravatingly confirm, they argue among themselves on who has to actually work to box some chocolates and ring someone out. What should & could have been a 5 minute shopping experience becomes 15 – 20 minutes because these ppl are too lazy to do anything but stand there and ignore customers. This place is a total waste of time. I’ll be going to the locations in the city from now on. I’ve met more hard-working homeless people than these employees ***Please if you’ve had a horrible experience like I have, take the time out to fill out the survey you’re given at the bottom of your receipt(is the Link). It doesn’t hurt and it’ll at least give management the idea of how rude their staff is.

Although I really do enjoy the trufflelata shakes, my craving for this place is no longer there. The cups are getting smaller & the workers behind the counter are incredibly rude. No wonder its always empty in there.

5 for the chocolate and 2 for the service. This was the convenient location at the time. After waiting on the long line and telling the cashier that I will be purchashing truffles, the cashier kept on taking orders. So when I picked out the truffles which only took a min, I then had to get back on the line as per the attendant to pay. What!!! I already waited on a long line to then wait again. Ugh this location is nothing like the Rockefeller Center location. Not coming here again.

Why cant I give this place a 0??? WHYYYYY??? NEVERAGAIN!!! I WILLSTICK to edible arrangements for my white chocolate covered strawberries. Godiva sell 1 big white chocolate strawberry for $ 5!!! Are these people INSANE??? Anyhow, below is a response to a survey I completed on their website of my experience! When I walked into the store, the young man making the chocolate covered strawberries was very helpful. It was EVERYTHING else after that that went downhill. I get to the register and there was a customer ahead of me. Out of nowhere another customer comes and stands behind the customer at the register and the cashier who saw me there skipped me and tended to the other customer. I informed him that I was there first and he gave me an attitude and stated that the line was in a different direction. My question is, why isn’t there a sign stating so? And why did I have to address the issue for him to tell me when he had already seen me standing there. Ok, I let that go. Then I informed him that in addition to my white chocolate strawberries that the other staff assisted me with, I wanted the Strawberry Trufflelata. He then proceeded to charge me for my transaction that totaled to $ 20.14 and I handed him my credit card. He then glanced at the card then looked at me and asked me for my ID, which I found this EXTREMELYODD considering that I have shopped at various clothing stores and I can’t honestly remember the last time I’ve been asked for ID(ESPECIALLY for a purchase like chocolate covered strawberries). Fine, I had no problem with that. After my purchase was completed, I moved to the side and waited for my drink to be made. While waiting, I noticed that a lady of the SAMERACE as the cashier paid for her purchase WITH a credit card and he did NOT ask her for ID. I said to him, that’s rather interesting that you didn’t ask her for ID. He just opened his eyes in shock that I noticed, I took my drink and walked away. I am not even going to complain about the fact that this establishment overprices these measly little white chocolate covered strawberries which I can purchase at Edible Arrangements which are much larger. However, to be racially profiled like I was, I am DISGUSTED! And believe me, that I will NEVER shop at this establishment again and WILL let people know about this. ESPECIALLY since I am a UnilocalER. I hope your staff is better trained on how to treat everyone equally.

There should be an option of no stars. This store is disgusting, I have pictures of MICE droppings, and no its not chocolate, ITSMICEDROPPINGS! I always came to this Godiva given that its so close to home, but not anymore. I’m MORTIFIED with this store now. The employee’s look miserable and the manager Tracy, I think her name is beyond rude. I guess I will be making a trip to the Godiva in Roosevelt Field mall this season for my gifts. DISGUSTEDANDMORTIFIED! I will be contacting 311 and the FDA I have no idea how this store can possibly pass any screenings. YUCK!

$ 55 bucks for a tiny heart shaped box of chocolates for Valentine’s Day. Pretty darn expensive if you ask me. Sure it’s name brand but there are other chocolates that taste better in my opinion and that are also much cheaper. I purchased one a few years ago from this Godiva store located inside of Queens Center Mall. The box looks nice but we weren’t very crazy about the chocolates. For that price, I rather buy a whole bunch of Ferrero Rochers from Costco’s or BJ’s. My wife also agrees. Why buy chocolates that you don’t like? Who says Valentine’s Day chocolates must come from heart shaped boxes? We don’t give a shit about the box, we just want crack filled chocolates! Can’t get enough of that Hazelnut!

Of course their chocolate is exquisite and fine, but you come to expect that. This particular location had such friendly and happy staff. I was greeted in under five seconds, assisted in my purchase and got my free chocolate. A great visit and a great place.

You can never do chocolate wrong. I am chocolate myself. lol I am so bad at remembering what I had. I had the cold drink on top all the way to the right of that display is something called Dark Chocolate with dark chocolate syrup, dark chocolate Cookie crumbs and whipped cream. It is sooo good. You do need a spoon to finish eating it. The cookies get stuck inside the straw. I tasted the Mango frozen drink and neither me or my son liked it, he throw it away in the garbage.

After having been a customer of Godiva for many many years… this is the first experience I’ve had that was – well – disgusting, so this is an indictment of this particular store not Godiva in general. So, getting to the point I bought 6 dark chocolate strawberries each for my wife and mother. The price was high but of course you get what you pay for… right? And Godiva is the best… right? Well when both boxes were opened in expectation of a delightful treat what was there were very right and lovely white mold covered strawberries. The stores response? «We tell everyone to consume them they same day.» Well 1) while they were not opened the«same day» they were opened within 24 hours. And, there is NOWAY they mold grew overnight. What I suspect, no i know(because I do this every year and never had a problem) is the store pre-dipped the strawberries to keep up with Valentines Day demand the day before. Will they be remedied? That remains to be determined as the«corporate» store asked me to send photos – but that’s really moot as the day was ruined.

I don’t think I need to tell you why you should get chocolates at Godiva Chocolatier nor do I have to justify to you that paying $ 20+ for 8 truffles is reasonable. If you need a reason, then I’d suggest you not to go to Godiva so you won’t cheapen the brand. Seriously, we don’t need you here. Indeed, this review is not for the company but for the location itself. This is a small chocolate boutique inside the Queens Center Mall. Small but well stocked. The staff here are very professional and are attentive, as they should be given the amount of money you spend in here.
