I would advise against seeing Dr. Firdousi Mazda — my experience with him was overwhelmingly negative. First off, he failed to take seriously a problem that had worsened my comfort and quality of life for months, and to do the deeper digging to uncover the root cause and recommend an appropriate course of action. To his credit, he did diagnose me with another problem which I was unaware of — but he did it in a way that freaked me out and almost had me in a panic attack — all because of the way HE himself reacted to it. He then proceeded to acknowledge he had no tools or knowledge to resolve the problem, but that he’d try anyway — and in the process made me bleed and inflicted a world of hurt. Finally, and again to his credit, he referred me to my local university hospital and a renowned urology surgeon there, who did the job — but all the freaking, blood and pain Dr Mazda inflicted were completely unnecessary. Steer clear.
