While most of the staff was very nice the pedicures were not great. It cost $ 43 for myself and the 7yr old I was watching. I now know why it was inexpensive. A day later my big toe is chipping, the day of I noticed there was dirt under my toe nail that they hadn’t cleaned out. The pedicure took about 20 min. Everything was rushed, it wasn’t relaxing at all, and my girl cut two of my toes and then gave me a dirty look when she saw her tip. I’d rather pay more for a relaxing well done pedicure.

I just moved to Elmhurst and tried out Choi’s because I heard about their $ 35 mani/pedi combo. I was a little skeptical given some of the reviews but figured I’d try it out for myself and I’m definitely glad I did! I had scheduled my appointment ahead of time and it turned out to be the last one of the night. This has happened to me before and typically means the technician rushes through so they can be done and get home, which results in an un-relaxing experience for me and nails that chip right away. Not at Choi’s. My technician(I believe her name was Mani) took the same amount of time and care to finish my nails as if I’d come in the middle of the day. She didn’t seem bothered at all that everyone else was cleaning up to close. This is also the longest lasting manicure I think I’ve ever gotten. Typically my nails start to chip after a couple days, especially when I’m traveling. My manicure from Choi’s however is still going strong after 5 days and is only just starting to show signs of wear, even after a weekend full of travel. With friendly staff and a quality mani/pedi, I will definitely be going back!

I got the Spa pedicure which was completely average and overpriced at $ 45. I didn’t feel like there was any extra except the paraffin wax and heating pads which has been included in other places. Their attitude seemed unfriendly and I won’t go back.

I read the other reviews and the negatives ones were wrong. It was very clean, the staff was friendly and my nails looked perfect! The price was right as well. A mani-pedi combo was only $ 35. Manicures are $ 12 and Pedicures are $ 25. Great Prices. Great Service. I recommend this place. Plus around the neighborhood there are lots of restaurants and the train depot(for the metra) is right across the street.

I was drawn in by the fairly reasonable prices but immediately regretted it as my pedicure began. She seemed to rush through and didn’t do half of the services most other places do for a pedicure-it took maybe 10 minutes. She said the color I picked wouldn’t look good(rude?) and I had to choose another. She painted so unevenly and the surface of the polish was actually bumpy and not smooth like it should be from a salon. They looked completely sloppy and were even pretty transparent. The bottoms of my feet were not smooth and I could’ve done a better job at home. My manicure began and it was the same deal. She was super unfriendly throughout my entire visit and my nails looked horrid. Like I said, I could’ve done better myself for free. I spoke up and said that I wasn’t happy with how they came out and they offered to repaint them.(a waste of time considering how they turned out the first time) Less than 24 hours later several nails on both my manicure and pedicure were completely chipped. As you can tell, my experience was horrible and there is no worse feeling than paying money for something like this. I will never step foot back in that place.(not to mention it didn’t seem very sanitary… A whole other issue)

I love Choi’s, their new location is wonderful. I always have a great experience and my mani-pedi always lasts a long time. Michelle, the owner is so friendly and everyone that works there does such a great job.

The place was clean, a little cramped, decent polish selection, fair pricing, and they give a good shoulder massage while you’re drying. My only qualm was that the polish chipped big time in about 3 – 4 days. Time for a re-do already. Have cash for the tip.

I have been going to Choi’s since I was in high school and now every time I am home from college I try to fit in time to go and get my nails done there! They are very accommodating, regardless of whether you have an appointment or not. I have gotten both gels and regular manicures and pedicures there and have always been extremely satisfied. Their new location is great and very nice! I won’t go anywhere else in Elmhurst!

I’m spoiled, I admit it. I was in Elmhurst to lunch with friends, and we stopped to get our nails done. While my mani/pedi is still lasting without a chip in 4 days, there was some weirdness in this joint. First, where are the sterilization boxes? I felt like all the tools and equipment were dipped in water. Second — usually I’m asked«file or cut» for my toes. I so rarely cut my toenails, I always file. Third — I understand its hard to paint up to the cuticle, but can you at least make it a straight line rather then an angle? Regardless, it was fine, cheap, quick and is what it is, and I’m just grateful it lasted this long.

I don’t think Choi’s quality is any better than the other little shops and today was the end of the rude welcome I received when I walked through the door with my daughters. I use to bring them here all of the time for a polish w/flowers, but the last few times I brought them, the store has been too busy to accomadate us as walk-ins. I understand this, but the owner is so abrasive. Great for them that their business has been steady, but they have lost mine due to Michelle’s rude«welcome.» It was a good lesson for my girls to learn that you do not patronize business where customer service is not adequate.

This is my nail place. I love them here. Earlier last semester, I was in search of a nail salon close to my school(Elmhurst College). One day when I was feeling particularly stressed and decided to walk in and get a manicure. From that day on, I became a weekly customer. Not only do they have a great range of colours, but Michelle and her girls will go above and beyond what is expected. Once, a few weeks ago, was getting my nails painted by another girl and Michelle took over and had to redo an entire hand because she INSISTED that there cannot be any bubbles in the polish, which I didn’t even NOTICE. she does SUCH a great job and I commend everyone there. they really know their customer service here as every visit is accompanied by a back massage. I love them and can’t wait to return next week to get a pedicure.

Michelle and her team are the best!!! I have been coming to Choi’s for a few years. She does fantastic nails. I never get any lift, the polish does not chip, and every service is deluxe. Not like most places who nickel and dime you. Michelle really cares about her clients and will go out of her way to make you happy. It is a small boutique shop and the friendly atmosphere is very relaxing. It’s next to the Elmhurst train station so their location could not be better for those that work downtown.

After trying a couple of other nail places out there, I am back to Choi’s for the best and most consistent nails that I’ve ever had. Michelle, the owner, uses a product called the«diamond set», and with this specialty product she can create the most realistic, thin and beautiful set of fake nails I’ve ever had. Seriously, I get complimented on them all the time, they never chip or break(unless I drop a weight on them, but that’s my fault!), and they are so reasonably priced — $ 25 for this specialty fill! It’s an affordable luxury in this day and age!
