Service was great the guys are very welcoming and attentive. If you want to get a seat fast come during weekdays around 6pm. I got the Skirt steak and it was delicious no fat around it 14oz piece had to share! The mash potatoes are the bomb !!! So creamy and good seasoning ! Also the meat empanadas you have to get one !!!

Portions are huge. Atmosphere is amazing for soccer fans, shirts hanged everywhere and pictures of Maradona. Service was quick and friendly, place was clean and nice, and food was okay with huge portions. I enjoyed my dinner there and feels like it’s a place that one need to try at least once especially when there is a match where Argentina is part of. Viva Argentina :)

Always a great meal here. Service could use improvement but sometimes it’s about the game!!! Lol, great vibe. Enjoy it

Steaks are amazing! The sangria is pretty darn good. Downside is no reservations allowed but worth the visit.

This review is going to be candid. The food was great and the atmosphere is fun, but the service destroyed my dining experience. My father and I waited 20 minutes to get a menu before we waited to wave down a waiter. The food came quickly but we were not approached at any point in the meal to refill drinks or ask how we were doing. We then waited 20 minutes until our waiter shouted across the room and asked if we wanted the check. Bottom line up front: great food, but service makes the experience awful.

A great choice if your looking for flavoring steak, service and big screens with futbol. The only downside to this place is parking.

Steak was definitely good. It was flavorful and charred perfectly. Ordered a medium skirt steak but got a shell steak instead. That was a disappointment. The communication is definitely an obstacle. The salad that came with the steak was fresh. Also, ordered a side dish of mash potatoes that never came and we had to tell the waiter. Sangria was good. Not too sweet. Service is above average. Great place with appropriate atmosphere for soccer games though.

I love steak, so this is a go-to restaurant. The steak portions are huge, and filling. I recommend the skirt steak. The Argentinian chimi-churri sauce is soooo good on the steak. Don’t forget a nice glass of sangria. Depending on the cook sometimes the potatoes are cold or warm. Specify everything and they will cater to you. Great customer service! It’s a casual place. Depending on the time of day, the noise level goes from just noisy to very noisy. And as you may realize when walking in, it’s all about the soccer! Soccer on the TV, Soccer on the walls. The waiters wear soccer jerseys as well. They don’t have a large parking area. You will have to park on Queens blvd or in adjacent blocks.

Skirt steak to die for, matched with sides that truly compliment any meal. The staff is friendly and make excellent recommendations when it’s so difficult to make a selection from their quite expansive menu.

After a long day in Manhattan with my father we decided to check out Boca Junior before hitting the traffic on the LIE, we walk in we were greeted very nice they sat us down took our drink and food order no big deal, food comes out 20−25min later and not once did our waiter come to our table to see if everything was ok or can I get you a refill nothing, food was good but the service was by far one of the worst ever, it’s sad that’s the way they treat there customers cause the food was pretty good, highly doubt I’ll be back.

It’s ok the only reason y this place is still open cause of the games besides tht the food is not tht good. I you are a real argentinean you will know the best place for parillada is on corona ave. This place will b great if they fix their parillada.

This restaurant is too expensive for the quality of foods and service. I believe it would be a great experience staying here during World Cup Argentina games, but for no-game days the servers are not warm and the food is too bland for me.

One night me and my husband decided to finally go to this place considering we’ve been living in Queens for years, never gone in and we were curious. Great atmosphere, we loved the whole soccer theme they had going on and I personally loved that they also had banners and posters of other teams, not just Boca Juniors. Firstly, the waiter wasn’t the best. We would see him go about his other tables and take care of them first(mind you they came in after us) and we would sit there try to stare him down to get his attention. That’s one star off. I understand if this is your go to place and you’re a regular, but when the staff is trying to sing happy birthday to another patron this doesn’t mean for you to raise your voice while you’re singing. I’m sure the lady recording the whole thing didn’t appreciate his singing in the background… oh and when there’s customers sitting next to a TV, don’t turn up the volume, it’s really rude. Every country has it’s own thing, and they call different foods different names, but it would’ve been nice if there would’ve been a note under every plate describing what it actually is! I really didn’t want to have to ask the waiter to go through every item telling me what it was, I went for the easiest choice, breaded steak with cheese and onions… I kept tasting the food hours after I had left the place, I wasn’t impressed. Let’s just say this was our first and LAST time at Boca Juniors… curiosity definitely killed the cat.

Not even in starvation mode did this place tasted delicious. I am not Argentinian, I am not a Boca Junior fan, I am a fan of tasty steaks, I guess that puts me in the minority to the people who this restaurant is trying to appeal too. After spending the day in the city, someone in our party had heard this place was good.(without checking out the Unilocal reviews we decided to listen to this person, one makes irrational decisions when hungry) My Hispanic heritage has told me that the Argentinians are wonderful at cooking steaks. Other countries try to emulate the Argentinian churrasco and its wonderful char flavor. Apparently this restaurant did not get the memo on this. Our churrasco steaks were not that great, and our sides kind of poor. In our party of 8 nobody really enjoyed their meal enough to rave about it. When I feel i can go home and cook a better steak, there is a problem. Mostly because i don’ consider myself a wonderful cook. I will say the service was good enough where we didn’t have to constantly fetch the waiters. I will leave the guilty feeling of consuming 16 oz of meat while these guys are parading in soccer warm up outfits out of it. There is really nothing worst than eating when in full starvation mode and not really enjoying your meal. If you are going to call yourself an Argentinian steakhouse, make sure you live up to the name, otherwise just call yourself the Appleblee’s of Boca Junior which all this restaurant turns out to be.
