Elma Lanes & Restaurant

I use to come here quite a bit, but several of the young female bar attendants have been very put out when they have to attend to customers. If you need pool cues, the attendant will stand there while doing nothing and tell you where they are located behind the bar, in case you would like to fetch them. The younger male gentleman that works here is always VERY helpful, and appears to be doing everything, even when they are very busy. If there were more employees like him, I would come more often.

Bad Food, warm beer and lousy service.
Sounds like a funny ad, right? Well it’s not. What a dump. I asked for a can of Ranier beer and the stupid barmaid fished it out of a tub of water. Warm! She knew it was warm, her had was in the tub of water. I ordered a chili cheeseburger and fries. DISGUSTING! First of all, the chili was no where near 140 °F and since I’m sure it was sitting like that all day, it’s a bacteria breeding ground. The burger was NOT fresh cooked, I suspect they cooked a bunch and stuck them in the fridge and just warm them up when they melt the cheese-​like substance. It was cool in the center, even though it was served well-​done. Also, the grilled onions had bits of onion as black as ash. So, I suspect they just use the same pan all day to grill onions without CLEANING IT. The fries were under-​cooked as well. The bar maid was a trainwreck, I could barely get service. She paid attention when I bitched about the food. At least she took it off the bill when I returned ¾ of it. I’d like to throw up the little bit I ate to avoid listeria or whatever else.
AVOID, AVOID, AVOID this place! It’s food poisoning waiting to happen.

This is a positive review but I’ll start with the negative. Here it is… The bathrooms can use a makeover. The positive… This is a restaurant/​bar where you can also bowl, play darts, play pool, and watch sports in HD on plenty of new, large high quality tv’s and also a very large pull down projection. The owner is a great guy and the manager is friendly and good to his staff. The staff are well trained and very accommodating. The food is great if you are not out looking for a 5 start restaurant… Keep in mind this is a review for a bowling alley/​restaurant. It’s good bar food! The selection of beer is good and the selection of liquor is even better. All in all, it’s a great place where everyone is friendly, the food is good, and so is the entertainment.
