Who doesn’t love grilled cheese? I’ve been to Tom+Chee multiple times and I always have a great experience here. Perfect comfort food for lunch. My current favorite is the Hippy+Chee: hummus, cucumber, greens, tomato, and cheese on wheat bread. Still not brave enough to order a grilled cheese donut… I don’t even want to know the calories. Check this place out!

I am giving them 2 stars because this is our second visit and the second time they got the order wrong. My wife has food allergies and twice they served he food with dairy. Sorry by for people with food allergies, two strikes and you are out. We won’t be back.

I’ve gone into Tom + Chee multiple times since it’s first opening about a year ago. Great menu options! Grilled cheese with chips on it is one of my favorite options! Seth, the owner is a great guy and walks around and makes sure everyone is happy with their meals. Customer Service is phenomenal, the staff is very knowledgeable and very helpful if you have never been their before. Definitely one of my favorite places in the area!

Wanted to come here since Shark Tank aired their episode. Living in MN made this difficult. After seeing the menu I knew I was in trouble. So many choices. Needless to say after a bill of over $ 33 I had boxes to take my treasures home. I got the pep chee which is basically like a pizza sandwich. It was bliss. I wanted to try the tomato soup so I got that as a dipper only. Since I also wanted to try the Mac but didn’t want it as a sandwich I had to get a side of that too. Man was that good. It was a bit thin on the sauce but super tasty. There was also a bacon blu chee and that was good but lacked enough blu taste to it. Next came three donut chees lol. Had to. I got a smores(amazing) a classic(left me disappointed was too much cheese to donut ratio for my taste) and a Choco bacon donut(this was a bit odd with too much chocolate flavor but still real good. The service was quick and friendly as well. I only looked at the calories after I ate but was still mindful of this while eating(it’s how I am). Don’t look at the calories prior or you may not wanna dive in. Yikes. Amazing none the less.

Place was pretty good, happy to try it being that we don’t have any near us. Ordered the flying pig it was ok, but not amazing. Also ordered the strawberry lemonade grilled donut, it was really good although a little to sweet for me. This is something that should be split with 3 or 4 people.

Best concept ever! I ordered the pep & chee and the grilled Mac & Chee and both were great(the pep & chee with avocado is a must get). I also ordered their smore grilled cheese donut. The food came out very timely and the creamy tomato soup dipper as a side was great too! Overall amazing.

Walked in for my first visit. Told the young lady at the register is was my first visit. She told me about popular sellers and told me I could order half of each sandwich to try more. That is a great policy and excellent customer service! So I ordered a half Flying Pig and a half Crunchy Garlic Chicken. I enjoyed the flavors of both, but was a bit put off that potato chips were added to make the Garlic Chicken sandwich«crunchy.» I was expecting crunchier toast. I probably should have read the sandwich description. I ordered a cup of the creamy tomato basil, since tomato soup is part of the name of the business. I wasn’t a fan. There was a plain tomato soup and chunky tomato soup option, but I doubt it would have mattered. I was intrigued by the dessert/donut sandwiches but was too full to order on this visit. I essentially paid $ 11 for a cup of soup and two half specialty grilled cheese sandwiches. Since I didn’t have room for dessert, I think the value was fair. I am torn between 3 and 4 stars. It would be 3 ½ if I could. If I give 3 stars, it generally means it was fine/good but it is unlikely I will return. I’m rounded up because I received excellent customer service and the sandwiches tasted good enough for me to go back and try another grilled cheese sandwich, plus one of the donut sandwiches. I’ll just pass on the tomato soup and crunchy grilled cheeses.

How can you make a bad grilled cheese sandwich? Impossible. And these are some of the best, most delectable grilled cheeses I’ve ever had. I love that you can choose two different halves. Great little feature for the overwhelmed and indecisive.

Man, when I saw this place on Shark Tank my mouth was salivating, and when I found out it was opening right next to me in Elm Grove, my excitement went through the roof because grilled cheese/tomato soup is one of my favorite meals which I make at home consistently and have perfected to the best of my ability. But I was just so very disappointed with everything about Tom and Chee. If all you do is Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup, it should be at the very least better grilled cheese and tomato soup than I can make at home, but in my poor man’s kitchen I can make tastier sandwiches and creamier soup! Their tomato soup, first of all, is not enough in quantity. Just a small little portion of soup is not appropriate for the sandwich they provide, but of course if you want a bigger size then you’ll have to cough up more $$$ on top of the already overpriced menu. Also I feel their soup is quite watery. I can make MUUUUUUUCH more creamy tomato soup at home, and I consistently do so. As a cost saving measure, I am sure they are not making it as creamy as it can be. I’m so sad that this did not live up to the excitement that I had coming in.

Adult grilled cheese? What is next graham cracker and milk bars with adult sleep mats? Well I LOVE a concept restaurant that nails it. Think a Noodles type experience but only with build your own grilled cheese. You stand in line, place your order, pay and sit down with your order number on the table. Study ahead because it is difficult to choose what grilled cheese is the best. The menu has all types of grilled cheese options from donut encrusted to BYO to a list of standard grilled cheese options. I built my own and opted for a rye grilled cheese with ham, cheddar, smoked gouda and diced tomatoes. I got the soup dipper on the side which is a great concept but I didn’t enjoy the tomato soup as much as I would have expected. The sandwich was done well… how can you mess up grilled cheese? There is a infinite combination of grilled cheese options coupled with some other sandwich, soup and salad options. They deliver to a small area and are eventually expanding so I look forward to a corporate lunch catered by these folks!

A couple of friends and I decided to check it out. It was super crowded but we were able to stalk someone and got their table when they moved. They came over and cleaned the table at least for us. I ordered a ham and cheese sandwich, a cup of broccoli cheese soup and a soda. Total was $ 9.72. A bit pricy in my opinion. The foot came out fast and was hot. The sandwich was good, very, very buttery but melty in the right places. The soup was disgusting. It was like broccoli wall paper paste with the same thickness. It was bitter tasting as well. My friends loved their pesto turkey and mushroom Swiss sandwiches. One loved the basil tomato soup and the other hated the broccoli cheese as well. We split a smores doughnut which wasn’t as horrible sounding as the description. I will say that after the 4 spoonfuls I had of that soup I felt sick the rest of the day. I won’t be back anytime soon.

I finally checked out Tom + Chee. I am a big fan of grilled cheese and tomato soup, so thought this would be right up my alley. Well, I probably ordered the wrong thing, which was… yep, cheese and tomato soup. I had cheddar and gouda on wheatberry bread and a cup of the creamy tomato soup. The sandwich was a bit greasy and the soup was pretty bland and actually a bit too acidic. Meh, as they say. Now, I should be fair and go back. The menu is rather extensive and I will try to be a little more adventurous on the next round. And, I will bring my husband because I saw it is BOGO on beer or wine on weekday nights… can’t go wrong with that! For some reason, I feel like I need to try the blueberry and bleu cheese donut. I don’t know why. I was expecting the restaurant to have a bit more of a warm, comforting feel considering this is the true comfort food. It feels more like a fast food restaurant with bright colors and a «hurry up and eat» vibe. I can imagine this is a good place for families noting the large number of high chairs available. At this point I can’t give any more than 3 stars. I’ll give it another go and see if there is a reason to bump it up.

I finally knocked this off my book mark list especially when on any given day I’m a mile away from it. The idea of a grilled cheese sandwich place seems like catering to a small market but good luck to them. The menu has pre made grilled cheese sandwiches or you can build your own with even a daily special. The soups are standard with daily specials also so the menu is a little more than the web site shows. I would have the bacon and blue. I was picking up lunch for work so my order was take out and my car smelled amazing. At first look it was perfectly toasted and had a nice golden brown color with out looking very greasy. The place is very colorful and cheery looking with cheap cafeteria tables and chairs. I like that they have a Holliday tree inside and outside. Place your order and give your name then move on until you are called like the soup nazi from Seinfeld. My first bite left me thinking that it was nicely toasted and the bacon and blue cheese flavor really stood out. The bacon was bacon bits but it had decent flavor and not crispy crunchy but on the chewy side. The blue cheese had a nice tangy finish and complimented the bacon I thought. There is just enough mozzarella for that nice money shot of pulling the two sides apart with the cheese threads looking like rubber bands stretching. I thought it had the right amount of meat and cheese, see my pictures. I have never had a grilled cheese out side of my kitchen and I didn’t know what to expect but I really liked it. I want to add them to the Friday lunch rotation and try some different favors so yes I would go back.

Tom + Chee is a cute name and concept, but really does the world need a restaurant specializing in grilled cheese and tomato soup? Well apparently the world does, because it was good… really good. I have been mentioning this as a lunch and diner option to the hubby for a few months now, and it finally sounded good to him too. The restaurant is cute and simple, done in red and yellow colors that really pop. There is plenty of seating for dinning in. The menu is simple to please a toddler, yet with enough fancy grilled cheese options to please the parents too. For the toddler we ordered the ‘Lil Grillas Meal. This was a half of grilled cheese with a side and a drink. We choose fruit and apple juice for her. The grilled cheese was simple and to be honest, better than the ones I usually make at home. The fruit was a combination of grapes and bananas. Top it off with a juice box, and it’s not a bad meal for $ 3.95. I tried the BBQ+ Bacon sandwich. It was a classic grilled cheese that added bacon and BBQ potato chips for added crunch. The sandwich was good, but honestly, my husbands was better. He went with the Crunchy Garlic Chicken. I must say it was the bomb. The chicken was moist, the garlic flavor just enough, and the combination of creamy cheese with parmesan potato chips hit the spot. We both tried the Blue Cheese Chili. It was thick and meaty with a medium amount of heat. The blue cheese crumbles on top added another dimension to the bowl. Finally, the woman at the counter tonight was terrific. She was sweet to our daughter, brought us our dinner, and stopped by to say don’t worry about clearing the table that she would be happy to do so for us. It was a great first impression and a yummy option for a dinner out as a family.

Loved the concept every since I saw it on Shark Tank. At first i couldn’t decide… but I wasn’t the I was the only one. People seem to just gather and stare aimlessly… at the menu just like me. Maybe in awe, maybe in a bit of shock. I finally asked the awaiting young lady…“What do you like.?” she offered me a sample… of the MAC and Chee(she mentions… as she bring the two samples to the counter…“were famous for it and tomato soup”. It was nice, but I was on a grilled Tom + CHEE mission and now realizing how a grilled doughnut can make me feel – I will have that too, lol. So I will leave that there. We had tried: SMORE Chocolate Pieces+Marshmallow Mascarpone+Graham Cracker+Donut; HAM+CHEE(Ham+Pickles+American+Hardy White Bread), BBQ+BACON(BBQ meat, BBQ Potato Chips+Bacon+American+Hardy White Bread). Everything was delicious! The doughnut was a great size for the and when they brought it out, hot enough but not runny. The bread on both sandwiches was hearty enough(you can choose another type if you like or doughnut) for a great grilled cheese sandwich; neither as over powering the other or too salty. Good job Tom + Chee — you know how we Wisconsinites love a good grill cheese and maybe tomato soup on a cool fall night. The end of the BBQ sandwich got a bit salty maybe too many chips and bacon at the same time or something. I was full. Fun atmosphere. Even better watch a game or go with family! Any true grilled cheese lover will love it here. Enjoy!

This seems like the kind of place we’d have in Wisconsin. But, it happens to be a chain and a Shark Tank success to boot. They have grilled cheese. All of the grilled cheeses. So many, in fact, I question putting some of them in the grilled cheese bucket, but they still had melted cheese on them. The menu doesn’t say it, but you can go halfsies with yourself. One half of two different sandwiches. Now we’re really talkin’. My biggest complaint is that if you’re going to call it a grilled cheese, it really needs to hold together. There needs to be enough cheese glue that you can’t separate the two sides. So really, they were more like hot greasy sandwiches. Also, you can get a grilled cheese made with a doughnut for the bread. Seriously? The«cheese» was chocolate and marshmallow, and a swipe of mascarpone to keep some form of cheese in it. Let’s be honest here, there is no diet on the planet that includes this. I split one with 5 other friends and one bite was more than enough — chocolaty, rich, and greasy? Too much for me. I love the concept, I really do. But, it let me down.

I was really impressed with my experience at Tom+Chee. There were several things I wanted to try on the menu, but I decided on the Hot+Spicy with salt and vinegar chips, and creamy tomato soup. I wanted the chips on the sandwich, but it didn’t come with any at all, so I just grabbed a bag and put them on myself. They gave me a free donut coupon for the minor error, though! The sandwich didn’t lie — it was totes hot and spicy + delicious. It seems like most of the workers there are high schoolers, so let’s cut them a break. My first job was at Hardee’s and fast food can be a rough job. Despite that, the young staff here were fantastic and were quick to correct a couple mistakes our group had in a speedy and friendly manner. This also speaks to good management — giving your employees the go-ahead and authority to «make it right» for a customer is HUGE. They have lots of seating inside as well as a patio adjacent to the parking lot. My meal was delicious and I’m still dreaming about their donut grilled cheeses, too. That s’mores one is heavenly. I will definitely be back.

Shark Tank! This restaurant chain was featured on one of my favorite TV shows: Shark Tank so super excited when Ellie B told us all it was open! Thanks EB :) Now this is definitely not the type of food I would eat everyday, every week or every anything. But I’m judging it for what it is not for something else. For beverages outside of soft drinks, they have a few bottled beers and copa single serve wines :) Yay! For my meal I built my own: American cheese, «fresh» mozzarella, basil pesto, salt & vinegar chips(they put chips IN the sandwich! You can he then on the side but why when they can be made With?!) and cherry peppers which are spicy, kind of, a pinch sweet and all around pretty tasty without being overwhelming. Also, I couldn’t resist a $ 1 dipper of tomato soup. They have other sides like mac and cheese and some weird meat concoction that was birthed in Cincinnati called goetta(the internet says it ground beef & pork w steel cuts oats — sounds good! But, next time). We also shared some dessert doughnut sandwiches: s’mores, strawberry lemonade, Barbara blue. Te strawberry lemonade was the best of that bunch, the Barbara blue sounded so good but wasn’t quite what I expected flavor-wise and the snores good but too sweet for me(I’m weird with stuff too sugary). We had a few issues while we were there but the staff checked on us several times(even though this is fast food style) and made sure to remedy any issue right away. We had fun and enjoyed our new food groups! Lol The cheese could have been a little thicker an I will order differently next time. The prices were VERY reasonable! I don’t want to know how many calories I had — but if you’re looking for a different and fun treat, check out Tom & Chee!!!

Tom & Chee is easily the best new asset to Wisconsin! Who doesn’t love grilled cheese?! After seeing this new business on Shark Tank, I was thrilled to learn about a new location in Brookfield and couldn’t wait to try it! Tom & Chee did not disappoint:) This place is clean, prompt, well-organized, has impeccable customer service, and top notch food at a great price. Choose a craft grilled cheese off the menu, or choose from a list of cheeses(cheddar, Gouda, etc.), meats, and veggies to build your own. They even have fun toppings to throw in there like potato chips! I built my own and was served a huge gooey sandwich with thick and crispy bread, cheesey goodness, and crispy bacon. I tried the creamy tomato basil soup and it was perfect to dip my sandwich in. I got a bowl, which was huge, and could barely finish so keep the portion sizes in mind when you order! They have a salad menu, too. Can’t wait to try one of those next time! Finish your meal with a warm dessert donut and you will not be disappointed! I tried the S’mores donut and was in heaven. Everything is made fresh in the building, no shortcuts. Parking is ample in the private lot out front, and there’s an outdoor patio, too. So go pig out at Tom & Chee, and then head on over to their friendly neighbors next door… a weight loss clinic! Ha!
