Food was pretty good. Service was pretty good as well. I recommend going on Thursday. Wine is half price, there was music and it wasn’t too busy. The bartender was the friendliest person. The parsnip bisque was fantastic! The duck was cooked well, although I didn’t understand the barque chickpeas with it. The scallops had a good sear.

My wife, daughter and I went the second week of the opening. The serving staff was unprepared. We had reservations and they suggested we sit at the bar. Several tables were open and somehow after insisting we prevailed to get a table. The food was only fair. I had a large portion of fish — dry. Sorry but you get one chance to impress…

My wife and I love this place. Amazing food and great service. They have a number of options for my vegetarian wife and nice selection for us meat eaters. I can’t say enough about the food. Each time we visit there is always something new to try and it is always amazing. Last time I was there with some friends we split chicken nachos. For 10 dollars we got a huge play of nachos and an unexpectedly large portion of shredded chicken. It was great. The servers and bartender are extremely nice and it is always fun to sit and have a drink with before we eat. I highly recommend trying this place.

Wonderful place. The ambience is warm and inviting. The food is excellent. And the service friendly. I am from out of town and saw this place on Unilocal.Glad I came. They have a nice selection of wines. The tomato bisque soup was tasty and hearty. The veggieburger it was tasty. The desserts are excellent. I had the chocolate mousse cake. I like the mildly rustic and inviting feel of the place, and the staff is friendly and kind.

Server was very friendly, food was excellent — fish taco special should be a regular item on the menu — live music on 11⁄20 was great too!

Nice beer and wine selection. The owner and other staff were very attentive to us and the place has a great ambiance. I agree with the other reviews that the prices are a little high, but definitely worth a try… especially during happy hour.

Wife and I visited for the first time on a Saturday night. Great ambiance and live guitarist playing in the bar but broadcast over the speakers in the restaurant. Ordered old fashion that was just ordinary and reasonably priced house wine. Rare to see deviled eggs as appetizer but we’re topped with bacon and excellent and again reasonably priced. We ordered the duck breast and salmon as entrees. Both were excellent, light on sauces and with notable presentation. Service was attentive, pleasant and knowledgable about the menu. Will be back soon to take in the live music on future Wednesday, Thursday or Saturday in the bar.

Place is nice. Service was as expected. We felt our meal was over priced or under potioned .my wife ordered the gumbo and it was tasty by very small 4 shrimp and sauce for $ 23. My chicken was tasty but dry. I give it a ‘meh’.

Husband and I had high hopes for this place. We gave the restaurant a few months to shake out the bugs before going. Our visit was on Thursday night, 6:30, Oct. 1st. At this point, it seems to still be «finding itself». The décor is «winery» with a lot of very hard chairs, cushions would be a great addition. General ambiance was nice, but a bit plain. The location of the restaurant offers window views of the parking lot. The menu had a lot of promise, with a of variety with many beers and wines. My husband ordered a glass of Pino. We started with the Crab Fritters, which we shared. While fried to perfection, there was not a lot of flavor there. Being fall, they were offering a cream of squash soup which we both ordered. The soup was very nice but was finished with unshelled, uncooked squash seeds. The Pino(7.00) was brought in a very small carafe that the waitress could hold in two fingers. The large wine glass dwarfed the serving of wine. I ordered the«all you can eat Crab Legs»(29.99) served with corn and roasted potatoes. The husband had the Scallops on a bed of corn hash(28.99). My crab legs came with a ramekin of dark brown butter… and when asked it was explained to me that his was«clarified butter». The waitress said that she had never heard of clarified butter until tonight. and that others had also commented that it didn’t look right. I told her that clarified butter was not dark brown, but almost clear. After tasting it, I determined it was«browned butter» with something added. The potatoes were very over seasoned and the corn was the last two inches of each end of a cob… the part you normally throw away. The crab was cooked in some type of seasoning that I could figure out. but it was not salt water or Old Bay as it often is. The Scallops were not edible. The corn hash and sauce of some sort was room temperature. The scallops were seared hot. but hard, and overly seasoned with dill, tarragon and other spices. The corn hash contained BACON which was not mentioned in the menu. After we told the waitress the meals were not right, she had the owner come over to talk to us. He said that the butter for the crab legs has chicken stock added(huh?) and that gives it the color.(It was still was not clarified butter. but browned butter with chicken stock). The addition of bacon to the Scallops seemed to surprise him. He said that after a slow summer, they were still refining the menu for the fall. The owner did not charge us for the entrees, but we still ended up with a 32 dollar bill for the«so so» Crab Fritters, the wine and the two soups. My memory of the restaurant is «forgettable».

I came here on a whim after having a lovely 90-minute massage; Rewined was right around the corner and the name seemed appropriate. I had the goat cheese croquettes and the avocado salad with grilled chicken. And a generous glass of one of the best Malbecs I’ve ever had. Flawless food, great service, great ambience and Neil Young and Jackson Brown on the radio. A little in the pricey side, but it was worth it. Today is my birthday and I’m unfortunately away from friends and family, but I feel spoiled. I’ll be back.

Really? ??? Overpriced. Boring atmosphere. Food took an hour and service was almost nonexistent. After the fact heard employees don’t get paid and owners other restaurants up north tanked. Not recommended.

For the price, the food was fine, but the service was very disappointing. My wife and I were there on the patio to listen to our friend who was the entertainment that evening. Thank goodness he was advertising his location, because we wouldn’t have known the restaurant was there. There is no easy marking from the street and the patio is not decorated with festive lighting(as most outdoor dining areas are), but that may be an Elm Grove thing. The inside of the restaurant looks amazing. The only criticism I have about the interior is there’s no mirror in the Men’s restroom. Didn’t affect my dining experience, I just thought it was weird. My wife confirmed there’s one in the Women’s restroom. Now about the patio… mismatched chairs, tables and umbrella is not what you’d expect from a restaurant with this menu and these prices. The music was great, the entertainer was plugged into the restaurant’s sound system so that it was playing inside too, which is pretty cool. The beer and wine selections are vast which I loved, and they even have happy hour until 6pm where almost all beer is $ 3.50. The menu is exquisite, it was a struggle to decide what to order. We had the deviled eggs appetizer, which I highly recommend. My wife had the chopped salad and I ordered the Two Chicken entrée. The chicken was just okay. The main reason this is a 2-star review is the service. It was atrocious. Our server did introduce herself and was polite, but we had to ask for more drinks, silverware following the appetizer and for a clean fork(which was given to me dirty — and when I asked for a replacement, she left the dirty one on the table.) She mentioned at one point that we was very new(2 weeks) but it was VERY obvious she had been given no training, so I don’t place the blame with her. What really disappointed me was after my entrée had arrived, I noticed that while the menu indicated the dish came with«English Peas», there was no pea-like vegetable in evidence. I asked our server if one of the other vegetables was an «English» pea(maybe it was slang for a cherry tomato). She didn’t know(lack of training) but did hurry off to get an answer. Another woman brought out a side bowl of peas and explained that it was odd that none made it onto my plate. My wife then asked what was the difference between«English» peas and regular peas, and this woman — who hadn’t introduced herself but was dressed differently from our server — told my wife that she had asked the same question and the answer she was given was«Price» and then she laughed. Neither my wife or I got the«joke.» We avoided the old Occupant(The Grove) because it had a very stodgy and«Supper Club» reputation. The service seemed to me like a holdover from the«Supper Club». This place has great potential, but they need to decide what they want to be. If you want to be a high-end restaurant, you can’t just sell expensive food and expensive wine, you also need to provide high-end service. ** On a side note, can I just say how frustrating it is that the restaurant’s address is Elm Grove Rd, but it’s set back considerably. Both this and the Sunset Playhouse across the street should have a Wall Street address to make it easier to find. Probably another Elm Grove thing.

Rewined is a new restaurant occupying the former The Grove Restaurant at the Village Court. The ambiance is very cool and some evenings they have live acoustic music. The menu offers excellent variety. Friday evening my husband and I tried the specials — pan-fried walleye and whitefish(not sure how it was cooked but it was delicious! Service was fabulous. I have also had their giant burger which was amazing, and the appetizer called pork wings is out of this world — served with a tangy cabbage/carrot salad that I can’t get enough of!
