My uncle and I actually have a tradition of going there every time he is in town. The hot dogs and chili dogs are some of the best. They have a roomy seating area and a nice staff.

Four stars for what you come here to get: simple, unassuming and good dogs. The prices are low, and the ingredients are quality — I love the dogs with kraut, cheddar and mustard! The ambiance is a typical fast food chain interior, which could be bested quite easily with some Americana kitsch… after all, you are here to eat the consummate all-​american food.

This is a Westen PA staple.
Known for its amazing hot dogs, chilli dogs, cheese dogs, you name it… I know lots of out-​a-​towners that just HAVE to get their fix of Brighton Hot Dog shoppe when they come to town.
It is definately not a healthy choice… but…who’s looking? Don’t forget to ask for cheese on your french fries YUM. It’s really inexpensive too… And I’ve heard their milkshakes are to die for.
I dont know if they still do this, but when you order a POP (yes, pop, not soda) they used to give you a plastic cup with a funny hot dog cartoon on it… we definately collected those as kids!

Who’s not a fan of chili dogs? All beef chili dogs?! All beef chili, cheesy dogs!!! If you’re not from Western Pennsylvania, I guess.
I don’t think there is anywhere in the country where you can get 2 chili dogs, cheesy fries and a soda for less than the price of a gallon of gas ($ 4 plus here in New England). The serving staff in this particular location were especially friendly, which I found refreshing (did I mention that I’m from New England & the folks up there are not as friendly??).
