I used to really like this place, but it just isn’t good anymore. I have a friend who works at the St. Charles location who is always being asked to fill in up here.
I give two stars because I love their fried pickles, and, though it’s too sweet for me, the sweet tea is a hit amongst almost everyone I know.
It’s better than KFC’s, I’ll give them that much, but lately the chicken tastes slimy and salty. Blech !

Update as of April 2015 — Tried the spicy chicken. It is fine, not very spicy though. The coating is too heavy, it is called crispy and I found the coating to be sweetened. I still like Lee’s chicken for fast food chicken but I wish they would spice it up more, offer the spicy without the heavy, crispy coating and lose the sweetening in the coating. Salt level was just right on this batch. Slaw is still decent, but over dressed again, swimming in dressing. We drained it at home since it was carryout.

I got oven-​roasted chicken, not fried.
No sides.
One breast, one leg, one thigh.
And they threw in a biscuit.
Quick in the drive-​through.
Incredibly gracious and happy folks in the drive-​through window.
I ate the leg as soon as I got home. Threw a slab of butter on the biscuit. Ate half. And it was sooooo good.
It was juicy, tasty chicken.
And then my son came home.
He ate the rest.
$ 6.49.

I’ve been eating Lee’s for years. Love the spiciness of the crispy style. Great chicken and very consistent.

This Lees chicken is good. been going here since i was little. but something changed. The fried chicken used to be big? And its not just this location… they being really skeeeeet. they are hella small now. Feels like I’m eating a baby chick. Not sure if they changed the chicken but that shit needs to go back on roids and make them big AGAIN. But this fried chicken is still my FAVORITE!
