Love this place! The gyros and hummus are wonderful! My 8 year old daughter loves their falafel so much it’s her go-to meal.

We finally made it in, and it was so worth it! I ordered tzatziki and pita for an appetizer. The tzatziki is delicious. Gyro wrap with a side salad was what I enjoyed for dinner. I felt that they had something for everyone there, even those who may not want to eat Greek food.(Ravioli, mozzarella sticks, fries, and onion rings.) My gyro was awesome, and the portions were good. Price is great, too. I look forward to stopping in again.

I got dinner November 21 on a carryout. The special of the evening($ 7.99) was a gyro, hummus and pita chips. The best part was the hummus and pita chips. Great garlic and smoothness in the hummus. Pita chips were perfectly toasted and didn’t wilt on the drive home. The gyro was mostly meat, which is OK in my book, but I need more. No tomatoes, no onions, very little feta.

Definitely worth stopping for a meal. Yes cooked to order… that’s what makes it great. Good people and great food. If I lived/worked closer I’d bee a regular for sure. The hummus plate and the lentil soup… OMG! Go ahead give it a go!

Especially given the price and selection, this is a gem! Family run, with hospitality.

Family owned with authentic and flavorful dishes, definitely wouldn’t expect this in a strip mall! I would recommend calling ahead if possible, or walk in and be patient, everything is cooked to order!

The food is still excellent, and the service is still amazing. But, they seem to have really come together for menu options. It’s moved a bit beyond gyros and a few platters to a bit more with fresh salads, daily soups, and a «pick four» for lunch which is a really good deal if you want tastes across the menu.

Do you want a Gyro that’s deliecious with a side of really great Babaganoush? This is your place! I’ve never met Dolmas that I didn’t like but I have to admit the ones here leave something to be desired. The family running the restaurant are great and very helpful. The fries are good, the pita are the soft fluffy kind made by a machine. But I like those. There isnt much unique going on here. But its good, priced well and I would certianly return.

I was looking for a place to eat lunch after a hike at Rockwoods and thanks to Unilocal’s restaurant suggestions, I picked this spot. The other reviewers were correct when they said this place was hard to find. Traveling east on Manchester, we located the area where the restaurant should be as I had the street address number. We had to travel to the next block and backtrack to the strip mall entrance. The term strip mall is somewhat misleading because this grouping of businesses included a Michael’s and Chuck E Cheese, and was set back from the street in an L shape. We drove past every store and finally found Café Kebab with very small signage. There was only one other customer eating when we arrived at 12 noon. I ordered a combo meal #2 which had small chunks of chicken cooked with delicious spices, pita bread and hummus. The hummus was mild, not too much garlic, and had a dollop of Harrissa in the center. A drink was included(free drink at lunch time with a purchase of $ 7.99 or more). My meal cost $ 7.99. I felt like it was a bargain. It took a few minutes to get the food, which was fine. I could see that there was one cook and one person taking orders, talking Greek to each other. Several other customers came in and ordered, and there orders also took time to cook and looked delicious when carried to their table. I bought a piece of baklava to take home. It was a good sized portion, by which I mean twice the size that you would get at the local Greek Festivals, for $ 1.49. It was very good, sweet, flakey. The restaurant was clean and neat. Restrooms were clean. I’d give it 5 stars but the location is not easy to find or get to, especially from eastbound Manchester Rd..

I love this place! It is so good and the service is always outstanding. I usually get the #3. Gyro, side of fries and a drink for less than $ 10. All of the prices are extremely reasonable. You can get dinner for 2 with a lot of extras and still come away under $ 30 including a tip. The gyro is always huge and packed full of meat, lettuce, onion, feta(upon request), and tzatziki sauce. The fries are nothing fancy but they always come out golden, seasoned, and crispy. I also really enjoy their samosas and the falafel. I’d say the best part… the baklava. At most Greek or Mediterranean restaurants you usually get a small triangle. Here? You get a much larger piece at less that $ 3 and it is so delicious. We’ve only ever gone in for dinner during the week after work. Every time we’ve gone the co-owner is always working. He’s wonderful. He’s extremely friendly and polite and has never gotten our order wrong. If you love Mediterranean food, go here. You won’t regret it.

I liked the gyros and hummus combo. Unfortunately they got my wife’s order wrong, and since we ordered as takeout, we didn’t know until we were home! We ordered a chicken and rice plate, but they gave her gyros instead of chicken. This was even after I asked them if a chicken rice plate was possible because it was not directly on the menu, but they said we could order chicken pasta and sub rice for pasta. Disappointed because I liked my food. But wrong order is a big problem.

Nice and easy Mediterranean. Visited café kebab for lunch during the week we picked the place because my coworker and we’re working in the area. Not sure I would have found it if we weren’t working in the same strip mall The place was clean and well lit. Nothing spectacular for seating and décor but nothing unsightly either. I ordered the gyro salad. It was a good salad big enough to fill me up for lunch the lettuce was crisp and tatziki was tastey the only thing it was missing was maybe some crispy pita croutons. My friends gyro was big and looked delicious, he had no complaints. Overall we were in and out within 30 minutes. The service was good and so was the food. If you’re in the area and looking for some good Mediterranean food in a reasonable time, stop by Café Kebab.

I absolutely love having a delish gyro spot near my home in west county! If you are looking for no frills falafel and gyros this is your place. The prices are inexpensive for the quality and portion size you receive. The owner is super nice and it is refreshing to see a family owned restaurant, when all you typicall see are chains with nothing interesting to offer. If you are curious about basic Greek and Mediterranean fare and like a deal this is your place!

Very good, it makes me happy seeing authentic ethnic food in an area with no culinary adventure. The gyros are top notch, hummus is served in very generous portions that comes with 3 warm fluffy pita and the baklava is a large slab of gooey flakiness. The staff is always friendly. Thank you for being my favorite local spot to grab a bite

Great little local place. Easy to miss as you drive by because it’s tucked in the corner of a strip mall. Very worth the stop! Authentic Greek food. Had the gyros, falafel, and baklava. The gyros was a big meal, lots of meat and very filling. Talked with the worker and bit and found its a family owned place. I will definitely be back again!

I was near this place during my stint as a Election Official. Since I loved Gyros and had a hour to kill AND this place was close it was the obvious choice. It is located in a nearly unused older strip mall. It doesn’t really stand out and is slightly tough to find if you are not looking for it. I wandered in just slightly after what I would call lunch hour at 1PM and I was the only person in the place. it smelled nice … that is always a good sign. The young lady who took my order was very friendly and enthusiastic as was the gentleman who eventually made my order. I just got a Gyro(no tomato and light Taziki sauce). They have fountain soda as well as a variety of teas and a few bottled sodas(all soda is Coke product). I watched my Gyro being prepared. He pulled some meat from a tray, put it on the flat grill, added water an covered it. Sort of like re-hydrating and reheating. I found a table, pulled out the latest Sauce magazine and my order came out shortly after. As one reviewer noted the meat is is shorter chunks vs the longer ones you get when the meat is cut off the spit. THAT being said it still was not bad. I would come back here again for lunch. Is it a destination restaurant? No, but if I am in the area when hungry or a meal time arrives it will be one of my choices as a place to eat.

I’m sitting at 4 stars because there is some room for improvement. I loved the place and they took good care of us but I just can’t get to 5 based on being served a pre-made frozen falafel product. That said, the baba ganoush and hummus were both delicious. I like a hummus where you can taste the tahini and they delivered. Sadly, the best thing I ate was something that I didn’t order. I asked if I could have a very small piece of their gyros to try and it totally rocked! I will most definitely order a gyros the next time I’m there… and there most definitely will be a next time! The time after next will be my opportunity to try their kefta kebab. I saw one of those in the making and it looked fabulous.

This is the kind of place/experience that reinforces my faith in Unilocal.I never would have noticed this little place in the strip mall with Lukas Liquors and Chuck E Cheese if it were not for Unilocal. Wasn’t too hungry, so ordered the falafel salad. It came with 5 falafel, and the salad had cucumbers, red onions, olives and tomatoes. They offered me feta but I don’t love feta so I declined. The dressing was delicious — I think it might be their tzatziki but either way it was great! The falafel were good, but I could tell they were not made in house. They were also not spicy at all — they had some good chickpea flavor, but I just felt like I was missing a component. Why the 4 stars, then? Husband ordered a combo platter with hummus, baba ganoush, falafel, dolmades. After chatting with them for a bit, he asked to sample their gyros meat. They brought us both a sample and it was really savoury and some of the best I have had. The hummus was full of that tahini flavor and not an excess of garlic. Mediterranean Grill still wins the baba ganoush contest for me, but theirs was delicious. The platter also came with enough pita to eat the dips and it was fluffy and grilled to perfection. The baklava was flaky, perfectly done with the right ratio of puff pastry to filling. Generous piece, too. We will definitely be back here — I have more to do here and these guys are so nice I really want them to succeed.
