Went in looking to talk to someone about buying a new Switchback. The woman in accessory sales was awesome, which is why there are 2 stars. It was about 2 hours before close on a Sunday and there wasn’t a sales person to be found. Or it was the guy watching drag racing. Either way we walked out without so much as hello.

Stopped in here to check out the closest H-D dealership to where I was staying in Windsor Locks, CT. Nice selection of H-D accessories and clothing! Picked up an H-D sign, and some H-D poker chips. Staff was very nice!

I have visited all the Harley Davidson Dealerships in Connecticut. Some of them a number of times. I believe this is the nicest group of people I have encountered in the business. They are off the beaten path, TSI has fewer potential customers stop in to visit. This third generation — family business understands that those who come in need to be treated well, or they will not be back. When I was there I was struck by the number of customers and who were on a first name basis with the staff. I was introduced to the owner, the owner’s wife and the owner’s son all in the course of a single visit. I also had a chance to chat with one very capable Sales guy«Jake», a decent guy and very knowledgeable. It took him only a couple minutes to help me address some concerns I had about accessories. I know that at the other dealerships I was waited on, and people helped me out, but it was much more of a «Hey, let me know if you need anything.» vs. a chance to speak with someone who rides themselves and understands how to listen and uncover what you need. Let’s face it, you may not realize that there is a part that will fix an issue you have so you may need to describe what you are trying to accomplish, and it is good to have a seasoned vet that is able to make a recommendation. I will drive 40 minutes to spend my money at this dealership.

These folks have always done their best to get me back on the road. Also applied my discount from another dealer that went out of business. Top notch dealership.

First off there are many very nice folks who work here and were helpful to me as a new rider. They are a poorly managed dealership, but maybe my expectations are just too high. I signed up for Riders Edge class… best move I could have made. It was taught by a great instructor and I learned more than ever would have taking the state course. I bought a new 2011 Wide Glide and got discounts on all my gear and options plus a refund on the cost of the course. I had done a survey on the HD web site and had decided on the FXDWD. The sales guy was nice and friendly but he confused the order options and it took over 6 weeks to get my bike delivered. I was waiting t take the class so I didn’t get too upset at the time… I had made a full payment as well as the down payment and was coming up on the second payment when it was finally ready for me. The sale person was fired during this time… I was never informed about this until I came back from a vacation and asked again about the status of the bike. I wanted a tach on the bike… between the sales guy and the people who were supposedly responsible for him they could not fulfill this request without my insistence. The parts person who was tasked to do this had an attitude about this from the beginning… don’t think he liked the sales guy or me… anyway this guy named Marco said he was too busy at the time but he would«work on it». So I found an aftermarket Dakota digital speedometer replacement that would drop in place of the original… took all of 30 minutes to find and order… wow what a hassle. I replaced it myself. When I was back spending more money since the bike was not fit to me correctly… so much arm stretch… wrong optional seat… pushed me back and up… I explained I fixed MY problem, and wouldn’t need Marco’s help… he acted like to school yard bully he probably was… won’t speak to me… stares through me… guess he has a FEW issues… whatever. When reporting this to the manager I was told to seek out the owner(they have two stores) and tell them the story… Guess he has no credibility with the owner… They also put 40 lb. air in a 21″ front tire specced for 30 lb. and told me I had it under inflated. And when swapping a front mag I bent… they failed to properly bleed the brakes… so they were soft and lever pull was erratic. For all I know this is normal HDMOCO dealer behavior… Only reason I’m still going to TSI is to get the discount for the first year after purchase. In spite of this I love my Dyna Wide Glide and have clocked 5000 miles in my first two months of riding… so I’m NO weekender good weather only rider.
