This store has a wonderful selection of quality outdoor gear at reasonable prices. The owners are extremely friendly and happy to share their advanced knowledge of the trails and their passion for the Georgia Mountains. They took the time to answer all of our questions and encouraged our son to pursue his dream of hiking the trails– complete with recommending books for him to read and where to buy them. Cannot wait to come back soon!

I was visiting my mom in this area so I stopped by this store. I was very impressed with the stock. I saw what I thought was the owner teaching someone how to properly hang a bear bag and it was spot on the safest way to hang the bag. I talked to the owner later and he said he has Waynesboro to Harpers Ferry left as his last section of the AT. Very knowledge and personable person. I would recommend this store.

Awesome store with awesome owners. Great location right in between Ellijay and Blue Ridge. The owners were working when my wife and I stopped in. They were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the area.
They have a great selection of all the outdoor gear you may need (or have forgotten before you hit the AT). We were only in town visiting, but we’d be regulars if we lived closer by. We’ll certainly be back next time we’re up there! A really fantastic store and experience.

A great little outdoors store, perfect for those who need some hiking or camping gear without making the trek to a big city. I’ve heard someone describe this as «the best of REI in less than 2000 square feet», and that description seems pretty accurate. A nice family-​run place with friendly staff, and a wonderful little dog that greets you on your way into the store. Overall, it was a great shopping experience and I will be back!
