Ingles Super Market

Love this grocery store. Salad bar has everyhing, fruit salad is fresh, olive bar and chicken wings by the pound. Deli is Boar’s Head. Cheeses of all sorts as well as butcher cuts of meat. Wine selection and every beer you can think of is here. Clean and great customer service.

I am mixed on the quality of this store. The produce is decent some days but on others I can’t find a thing. On most occasions the avocados are mush. But they want full price.
If you want pre cut fruit you will pay a huge price. But more times than not it looks very old and slimy. I have resorted to the sale bar but at 6.99 a pound its outrageous.
The deli is always, and I mean always understaffed. They will be the first to let you know when and how many have called in. I usually like a tea from the deli but the wait to get someone to come ring you up and hand you a cup is an average of five minutes.
I am a frequent deli meat customer and when there is enough help the staff is always nice and very accommodating.
Now, my beef is with the cashiers. For the most they are high school and college kids making extra money, no problem. I don’t mind the competition of who rings up faster or bags fast. I do have an issue with the ones who don’t get any sleep all night and let you know they do not have school or a second job but they just didn’t sleep and are very absent from the whole check out! They do not know the produce they are ringing… they do not bag your groceries and forget a thank you for doing it for them. I don’t even require any friendly conversation. If you can’t come to work and at least do your job on an accurate level then please stay home!
I also always check dates on all packages here. You will find a lot of expired items on the shelves.
The seafood dept is usually very nice and helpful and I find the prices very reasonable.

This location is WAY overpriced. Do yourself a favor if you’re coming in from out of town — BRING your food. This is like Whole Foods pricing for Wal-​Mart food. AVOID.

Last major grocery before you either lose your phone signal or you get into the mountainous areas of Blue Ridge.
Nice size store and friendly helpful employees.
Average pricing even though they have a lock on the area.
If only I could go to Blue Ridge again, I’d be sure to return.
