Valvoline Instant Oil Change

I had an emergency with a low tire last night and pulled into Valvoline. They had just closed and the gentlemen were in there cars leaving. This amazing young man got out of his car and went back in to fix my tire! That is absolutely amazing service!

Incompetent managers. Make sure they do not check your tire pressure unless they inform you what they are doing. They did not tell me they were checking my tire pressure. I have nitrogen in my tires. The valve stems are marked! They still let the gas out of my tires without asking!

These guys are awesome their very very fast. Time is money and around here it doesn’t seem like anyone has it, time that is! There’s 3 guys here Carl, Chad, and I think the other dudes name is Mike not to sure. Anyways they came from the Annapolis location, as a team your in and out in less than 20 minute$.
I went to the Annapolis store last week and was like where’s my guys at, total joke now. So yesterday I just googled fastest Valvoline. I rolled up and was like is that Carl, yes it is!
Now about money everyone is trying to save as much as possible, we call them penny punchers. For all you people that have a smart phone there’s a $ 10 off coupon which is way better than any of valvolines competitors! Did I mention there fast I’m talking air in tires, refilling you washer fluid, if you need a new air filter they’ll do that too! they do it all !
Nothing pisses me off more than when I get a
groupon for an oil change and ask them what’s taking so long and I go in the back because the guy wants to show me something. Do de do all my tires are off, like really dude did I say I wanted you to do a 1000 point inspection on my car?
So heed my advice, while I may not be an English major, check out the guys and chick at Valvoline they will be worth it!!!

I drive an old (10 model years) car that has over 170,000 miles, but is in great shape. When you keep a car ’till it dies, one of the downsides is that when you take it to a Mr. Tire, Precision Tune, or other place for that «cheap» oil change, you inevitably get the «we found this and this and this wrong with your car» in order to make up the dollars they lose on that «cheap» oil change. Thus, I was looking for that holy grail — an oil change place that actually just does what you bring it in for. Well, I have found it in this place. I went on a Wednesday at 6:45 and was fearful they wouldn’t take me, as the place closes at 7. Instead, I was promptly guided to one of the bays (there was fortunately no waiting), and the tech took care of me promptly and professionally. You don’t even get out of your car — it’s that fast! And when they were done, instead of hearing the dreaded «I found this wrong with your car,» I only heard «how would you like to pay for this?» Definitely music to my ears! This establishment will definitely be getting my future business! The only reason why I am not giving 5 stars is because I wish they would put their pricing on their web site, and I think they should create a customer loyalty program to reward repeat customers.

I always go to valvoline for my oil changes and they never disappoint. I never feel like they are tricking me into buying something extra. I feel the opposite actually! They even fill the windshield wiper fluid and air for free! I would highly recommend this to all of my friends.

I’ve been here so many times, I like here cause they’re fast maybe a little bit more expensive but they save me a lot of time.

I can’t vouch for the other reviews that were up-​sold or had bad experiences, but I was pleasantly surprised with the service.
I had previously been to the Jiffy Lube on Dobbin in Columbia, and paid out of the wazoo for the «Signature» oil change which was supposed to include all sorts of add-​ons like refilling tire pressure. I drove out of there after 5 minutes and my tire pressure light came on. I filled them up myself and found the front right tire at 23psi when it’s supposed to be 35…
I decided to try Valvoline because of that experience and because I had a $ 10 coupon in tow. I went in for a synthetic blend oil change and tire rotation and didn’t even have to leave my car. They also checked my lights, wipers, filters, fluids, etc. They pulled out my air filter and even though it was decently dirty, they didn’t try to sell me the $ 25 replacement. They were very professional with each other while working, and had a very efficient system. I appreciated that after re-​filling my oil they showed me the oil stick so that I could see myself that it was full.
For people who might be thinking of going to this Valvoline: always check the website or
for coupons! I saved $ 10 off a $ 59 oil change just for printing one out.

My daughter went to get her oil changed at Valvoline in Ellicott City and had a bad experience. She was told by Valvoline that she had no transmission or rear differential fluid. I am diligent in making sure her differential and transmission fluids are changed.
She was told Valvoline had to change the fluids and not replenish any of the rear differential and transmission fluid. I took her car to Jiffy Lube and was told her fluids were fine. Pretty bad Valvoline.

Second Review — Another bad experience.
This is the second time the Valvoline store has mis-​led my wife with her 2002 Suburban. She came into the Ellicott City Store for an oil change and her «check coolant level» light came on. She asked the technicians to check the coolant level since her light came on.
The response she got from the technician was she needed a new serpentine belt. The belt was just changed in January and she has only driven 7,000 miles. He indicated there were cracks in the belt but I had another mechanic check it out and it was fine.
A day later the check coolant light came on again even though the receipt (Invoice#866 660) said the coolant level was checked and OK. My wife will probably continue to have her oil changed at Valvoline because of the convenience of not getting out of her car but I will not.

Terrible. Forgot to replace the washer and caused a slow oil leak. The filters they use are the cheapest possible. Low quality products and work. Never gain. Will do it myself. Sad, i want to like this place but seems the people that work there don’t care.

Went there for the first time ever and was pleasantly suprised. There was no wait and I was out of there in less then 10 minutes. They did not try and sell me any extra services, which is a huge plus. As the last reviewer said, they are a little pricey for an oil change. However, I priced out their other services, which are more reasonable as compared to the dealer. So overall, if you do all your maintenance with them, it will balance out over time. If you are short on time, and don’t mind spending a few extra dollars, then I highly recommend.

Fast and efficient way to do your minor vehicle maintenance. You pull up into the garage and a professional and courteous person will walk you through the process and explain without much salesy pressure the options and prices you can choose from.
I have gotten oil changes, tire rotation, and some other things like new wipers, new taillight, tire pressure, transmission fluid, coolant, ac charge.
Always happy with the service. Only drawback is they are a little pricey.
