I own an art gallery on Main St in Historic Ellicott City, Still Life Gallery, which (like any art gallery) has lots of bright lighting requirements. I am VERY happy with the 50 new LED light bulbs provided by SuperGreen Solutions, which replaced all of my old halogens. I had been considering doing the switch but was not sure of what kind of bulb to choose. Bryan Pax made it easy– he brought me some samples, we tried them, I chose the ones I liked. He ordered the bulbs and got me my BGE rebate for the entire amount I spent plus a bit more, so they cost me nothing! It was great to deal with Bryan, he is a very nice, helpful, professional person.
In the past I would dread the summer’s high electric bills from all those halogen bulbs, and the fact that my AC had to work like mad to cool the gallery. It was always fighting the hot lights and seemed feeble. Now it gets so cool in here that I sometimes have to actually adjust the AC temp upwards. My electric bill is lower! Also, I used to conduct a daily «light bulb patrol» to see if any were blown, and I would have to replace at least one or two every month, which was quite a chore. We have high ceilings in the gallery and the only ladder that would reach them was a very heavy, tall metal one. I was tired of having to set up and climb that ladder so often. Now I don’t have to worry about that either, as these bulbs will last for years.
I have recommended SuperGreen Solutions to some of my fellow business owners on Main St, and they made the switch too, including another art gallery. Anyone who is interested in seeing the LED lighting here is welcome to come by anytime we are open.
