Really shocked. Second time i took my wife’s shoes to get repaired! Similar shoes similar repair. The first time the elderly gentleman did a terrific job. Second time to shoes in, got quoted same price for same job. Two days later i get a phone call from some foreign guy with a weird accent. He gave me some wordage that i was quote wrong and he is the owner of the shop… He quoted me twice what was originally quoted. I told him thats not what i wanted to do and that i would come by to pick up the shoes. He said the shoes are located in Reisterstown… Long story short the elderly gentlemen working at this location is super nice, but appears he works for some guy who doesn’t know how to do business and doesn’t care about customers… long story short STAYAWAY… FARAWAY

Is it just me or are show repair shops hard to find these days? Well, thanks to Unilocal I discovered this gem and it will be my go-to show repair shop. For whatever reason, I seem to wear down the heels on my shoes incredibly quickly until I’m left with nails poking out of my heels. I refuse to buy new shoes every time so $ 13 to get my shoes re-heeled is well worth it in my opinion. I walked around the building several times as it’s a little tricky to find. I should have looked at the Unilocal photo — the door with the yellow shoe repair sign is the one you are looking for. The building looks like an old house and if you are facing the front of the building, you want to walk around the left side. Once you open the main door, there is another door to walk in. The man who runs the shop is very friendly. I love going in there because there is something about that leather and shoe polish smell that I love! Just be advised that it is cash or check only.

Across from Rita’s on a side entrance of a building that has a kids consignment store and seamstress. difficult to find, at first, but glad I did. My shoes needed new soles because of how I wear the soles out. the repair was perfect, and cost me about 22 bucks.

This place is a hidden gem. Seriously, it’s hidden. It’s across from the Rita’s in Ellicott City, in a small older building. You kind of have to walk around the building to find the shoe repair. The place is small, but looks like a cobbler’s shop in a movie. I recently took a pair of heels in to get re-heeled, and it only cost me $ 13. He did a great job too, and I picked them up the next day. I asked him to fix the zipper on one of my boots, but he was very honest and told me it probably wouldn’t be worth it since the shoes were cheaper material. Good advice. I was so happy with the value that I just took in a pair of shoes to be re-heeled. I’d highly recommend the place

Great older gentleman who runs the place. Did a fantastic job repairing the little ends on several pairs of my heels that had broken over the course of several trips.(Lost some of the little ends on a boardwalk, in the crack of sidewalks, and just plain wore out the rest) His prices are very reasonable. He also fixed a thin little strap on another pair that completely snapped when my clumsy ass tripped over a curb. It was undetectable(the repair, not my tripping. The tripping and my subsequent floppity-clip-clopping departure due to the broken high heel was a spectacle) In our disposable society I’m so glad there are still people that do this! It has saved me hundreds of dollars and I’ve been able to stretch out and maintain lots of timeless beautiful shoes.
