Good bibimbap. Bibimbap is very healthy and I highly recommend it. Would definitely return and recommend.

I have been a long time fan of Lotte, though I tend to go to the unnamed Korean market in Caonsville quite a bit more(because it’s closer and I’m lazy). The teen and I ventured out there this week because we wanted something delicious and cheap to eat(and I needed to hit the market). It’s easy to forget how amazing their food court is, but I was quickly reminded. With four different vendors, there are plenty of options for food. I chose a kimchi soup for $ 8 that could easily feed two(it comes with rice and kim chi). My son chose to get a Bento box filled with Tempura, salad, miso soup, rice, a variety of goodies. He also got a California roll. All of the food was filling and very satisfying(especially for my wallet! Total for all three was under $ 25). Don’t forget to grab a cup and fill with their complimentary hot tea which is not basic jasmine tea(which is unfair, since I love jasmine tea), but the brown rice green tea! The scent alone… yum. In the same vicinity as the food court are a couple«shops». With lots of fun things to check out, it was easy to lose track of time. We wandered to the Skin care counter, which was filled with bottles and jars of companies I wasn’t familiar with. They have lots of testers, so I busied myself playing with the make up and skin serums before making my purchase. As common with all Korean skin care places, they put samples in my bag for me to play with. We picked up a couple groceries. Like the other Korean markets, produce is plentiful and inexpensive with lots of options for more exotic fruits and vegetables that we often pick up just to try. We always love the Candy/snack aisle, and this one never disappoints. Also, I want to encourage even those who aren’t Korean to visit the food courts. I saw people get overwhelmed and skip food when they saw all of(our) Korean faces. I don’t speak Korean, but have never felt there was a communication problem. Most of the employees are first or second generation bilingual.

As a mom who cooks for her vegetarian cutie pie son, and her carnivorous hubby — I’m always on the hunt for variety at budget loving prices. Lotte has that and a nice assortment of tasty prepared foods as well: veggie Korean pancakes, fried fish, assorted kimchee’s, sushi, soup, fried foods, dumplings. But beyond the prepared foods, there’s isles heaped high with Korean greens(I’m already envisioning the endless stir fries I can make with them), Japanese eggplant, several varieties of mushrooms/onions, spinach, snow peas, zucchini’s, savory melons, pickled garlic, herbs, lettuces, roots, loose carrots and so much more. I picked up pears that smelled heavenly sweet, apricots, something called a pear apple, sweet lemons. Heightening this experience is the food court. I can quench my Korean craving with far less funds, than what’s served along Route 40 Ellicott City. And there’s much to choose from: spicy dumplings, sushi, tempura, soups with chewy noodles, noodle stir fries, fried rice, dolsats, stews, curries — I’ve not had a bad meal yet. Picking up some frozen veggie gyoza, meaty bones(for homemade beef/veg soup), flank steak and that about completes my shopping spree. I’m always amazed while at the check-out counter, for it’s always far less than what I’m imagining the cost in being.

Korean food market is amazing — price, quality, and quantity. Rainbow sushi is the best sushi I’ve ever had in a market like this. Price on sushi is amazing. Quality is decent, too. I haven’t tried the actual supermarket because the Korean food and sushi is so good. I’ve had the bi bim bap, bul go gi, and kim bop. All so good! Every time I’m in the area for work, I make it a point to frequent this market for just about every meal each time I’m here! Amazing. I only wish there was one closer to DC for the same price! Pro Tip: Staff gave me a free water when I paid in cash the other day :)

Love this Korean Market! They have a little food court with different stations to order different types of dishes. They also have little shops in the plaza and sell different things from household supplies to clothes/fabric. The whole other side of the plaza is a Korean grocery store. Definitely hit the jackpot knowing they carry some of our fav products: D

Disclaimer — This review is for the food court within Lotte, not the actual supermarket itself. Whoever came up with the idea of having a food court within a supermarket is quite the genius — customers with stimulated appetites due to extensive food shopping will gladly welcome the convenience of grabbing a quick meal at an eatery located within the same supermarket. And many customers seem to feel this way, considering the business of Lotte’s food court. There are are are a variety of food options to rival that of Hanoori Town. However, there seems to be more focus on soups and sushi/sashimi, while Hanoori Town seem to have more variety of dry rice/noodle dishes. I came to Lotte in the mood for a dry dish, but ended up settling for a seafood noodle soup due to the lack of selection of dry dishes. But that turned out to be a stroke of luck, because I quickly fell in love with my bowl of hot soup due to its huge quantity(enough to feed 2 people), low price(less than $ 8), and spicy tanginess of the broth. The tables are on the large side, each able to seat 6 people. Therefore, the tables filled up quickly, leaving latecomers wandering around in search for a seat. However, people are generally nice and willing to share the unused sides of their table. I will definitely be back for round two of reasonably priced, delicious seafood soup!

This market reminds me of Kam Man in Quincy, MA. On one side there are smaller shops and it’s all open area. On the other side is the super market that sells everything like H-Mart but much smaller. They have foods you can try with demos and sales items well marked. Lots of options here, especially fruits and vegetables. They seem to be more fresh than Boston’s too and much more neat and clean. We got a few things here that was on sale and wanted to try. Courteous service too!

Very large grocery store. Huge selection of different fruits and veggies that you don’t get at a typical Asian market. Also, loved the fact there was an entire section of south Asian(Indian) groceries. They have fresh seafood where they also clean and cut the fish for you. Love this place!

Supermarket was good! Found almost everything I was looking for ^^ BUT *Zero* 0 *Zero* stars for the shop all the way at the end of their food court. Hubby ordered 5 dishes. 2 of which were jamppong(soup was bland and had no flavor), then a bulgogi dish that came in a small tiny dish for $ 10 which not only came in a small quantity, it tasted disgusting, with barely any flavor as well. Then the kimchi and radish side dishes that came along with our order tasted dried, bitter, and old as hell. Will NOT be going back to that shop. Will definitely return to the supermarket though :)

Sketchiest Asian market I’ve been to. Run down and produce isn’t always the best. It definitely needs a face lift. I will most likely go to the other Lotte plaza rather than this one.

«You’ve come a long way, from where we began.» lol I remember when they first opened up Lotte, I thought«finally! someone brought my motherland to this country!!» Pretty sure it’s been the go-to grocery store for many local Asians from Baltimore, Baltimore suburbs, etc. They have an authentic food court, bakery, gift shop(if you want those cute Sanrio products), make-up store, and clothing/blanket section. After awhile, I began to think this mart was kinda dirty, but recently, they revamped the place so it’s a little better. Just a little. There are a few restaurants next door that many Koreans love going to including Shin Chon and Tien. My parents and I always run into people we know any time we stop by here, there’s definitely a sentimental attachment about Lotte at least for the local Korean community, and it’s location is key on Route 40(which many people know is like it’s own baby K-Town).

Lotte plaza is a great place to get some authentic Asian food. However, the place is a bit dirty, and not well maintained. Some of the floors are covered with a thin layer of dirt, and the tables and chairs for the eat-in are unique, but are uncomfortable and dirty. The food is good, and never let’s you done. The conditions have improved a bit since my last time their, for they had some upgrades. The market is cleaner, and has some new appliances mixed with some old. Overall, a decent place to get groceries.

Great supermarket! But… be aware of the foodcourt foods… especially one at the far end. My wife had a Kongbizi(grounded bean soup) and shes got a food poisoning… we might be unlucky ones but you bet my life we am not going back for the food there.

Be careful on this grocery. In general their stuffs are ok but you will see mold discount items. They are not shame to sell those rotten veggies and fruits.

I’ve been here so many times since moving to Baltimore, at least once a month, and this is my go-to place for Korean food. The food court has all different types of Korean food – the selection is fantastic, and the prices are pretty cheap! Service is always fast, although the place can be pretty packed depending on when you come. Favorites include jampong and soondae although there are so many that we haven’t tried yet! Definitely will be back!

Service is poor. Employees and shoppers are rude. It’s not a good place to be. I’d rather shop at overexpensive Whole Foods. Keep driving and don’t bother stopping here.

This review is probably skewed by the fact that I managed to find an Indian snack I’d been missing for years when I went, but it’s a solid three at –least– and I’m feeling generous, because this stuff is delicious. It’s difficult to find Indian as often as I’d like, so it’s nice to see it available. The produce looked good– not perfect, but perfectly decent if you don’t mind a bruise or the odd wrinkle, and I bought three different types of eggplant for dip, roasting, and curry. The location is also ridiculously easy to get to, it might as well have it’s own exit off 29 northbound.

I absolutely love the Korean booth that is all the way straight back to the end of the place and the very first Japanese booth when you walk in. Daenjang jigae or bulgogi are musts at the Korean booth. And Kimchi Udon, chicken teriyaki, or zaru soba are definite musts at the Japanese one. The only downside is that parking can be really hard to attain!

Skip this place. The service is poor. Selection is limited. All the fruits & veggies are bruised or worse. You can’t take carts beyond the entrance area so if you’re shopping alone & buy a bunch of stuff, you’re screwed. The area next door with funky Asian goods is insanely overpriced & the goods are subpar at best. I can only imagine how awful this would be on a crowded Saturday morning. I won’t be back. There are too many other options. Check out the Lotte in Glen Burnie!

What I bought: Groceries What I thought: Very busy, very expansive Asian grocery. Not the cleanest, but it certainly has almost every Korean and Asian product you can think of. They have non-Asian items too, but those are a lot farther and fewer in between. Why you would go: You need weird Asian ingredients or items no one else sells. Why I would return: It’s cheap, easy to get in and out, and I need weird Asian stuff. All the time.

Ah Lotte! My first Asian food store love. Not to be confused with the shiny new Lotte a few miles down, this one has been shut down, redone, shut down again, and so on and so forth. The prices here are great, but the place is a bit on the dirtier side. The non food places in the«mall» they have also also really cool. The toy shop sells Korean Pop CDs which are awesome.

Most people who shop for Asian groceries know about Lotte and H-Mart. So I thought I’d give a quick comparison. Quality and freshness between the two are comparable. Both offer free samples on occasion. Lotte is smaller and in general has a smaller selection of produce and meats. The cafeteria at Lotte is also much smaller. I’ve noticed that both grocery stores have similar prices on their goods, with Lotte maybe being slightly more expensive. Either way, both are relatively inexpensive in the grand scheme of things. I don’t have a biased preference for one or the other. I usually just stop by either Lotte or H-Mart depending on the proximity of the place in which I’m having a meal.

Not much to say about Lotte. It’s pretty much the same as the Lotte in Chantilly. I just came here to eat lunch. The store itself was nothing special. However I would say that this place isn’t so bad when you crave cheap korean food for lunch.
