My husband and I walked in here on a busy Saturday, with no appointment. We were sat right away, offered drinks, and asked to select our pedicure of choice from the menu. I chose the Custom for both of us, which included pedi, massage, callous removal, and paraffin treatment.(Which, BTW, was the same price as that garbage I received at the place I most recently reviewed.) The technicians opened new tools, from the packages, in front of us. They took their time and were very attentive to each of our individual needs: mine being a hour of relaxation, my husbands being callous removal and talon trimming. During my polish application, the technician got some on my toe. Instead of the usual scraping with the thumb nail, he took a small brush, dipped in remover, and gently wiped away the rouge polish. The staff was polite and professional during the entirety of our visit. It’s been a week+ later and my polish is still 100% intact. This is after a fishing trip, 3 nights in strappy wedges, and 4 nights at work in composite toe work boots. My husband is STILL talking about the paraffin treatment. The ONLY complaint I have, is truly my own fault. I brought a polish from home, and forgot it. The technician did not know it was my own bottle, and after he was finished set it to the side. I totally forgot I brought it, and left. I called later and they said they did not have it, but honestly how could they tell in an inventory of 100+ colors? I really cant blame them. Elite Nails is incredibly out of the way for us, and I think it is going to be a trip I will be happy to take every few weeks.

Gel chipped same day and they wanted me to pay half price to have them redone. Don’t waste money on gel. I highly recommend Delicate Touch Nails in Columbia if you want a long lasting gel. Prices are a little higher but definitely worth it!!!

My sister and I were looking for a place in the Catonsville/Ellicott city area to get our nails done before a vacation, and we happened upon this place after eating at the Boston market nearby. It is really clean and the people are friendly. I got a manicure and pedicure for $ 40. Pedicures alone are $ 28 so I thought that was a good deal. I definitely plan on going back. I also didn’t have the problem a previous reviewer did with the credit card. She accepted mine and brought me a receipt with a tip line, so I was able to give her a tip without any problems.

Walked in at a busy time, made an appt for 1.5 hrs later. I had only had a manicure once or twice before but they were friendly and nice, and explained things as we went. The place was clean. I got a gel polish that is neatly done, cuticles nicely done — and I have terrible hands so that’s a miracle. I think I had the female owner? The male owner greeted me and suggested the time for me to return. Efficient and quality work. I’ll come back.

Walked into this place before getting my hair done to make an appointment for later that day. A frequent problem with smaller nail salons is that b/c of limited number of staff, if you go during a peak hour or busy day, you can wait FOREVER to get a manicure. Just make an appointment, you say… well, so I did. There was one technician visible when I walked in around 12:30 on a Saturday. She didn’t greet me all that warmly but was nice enough. I made an appointment for 3:15pm same day and asked for someone good and clean(I got a weird look for saying this.) 3pm — Walked in for my appointment and again no warm greetings. I informed that I had an appointment and the guy nearest to the door and the check in area just said, «ok.» I sat down hoping that eventually someone will acknowledge me and give me some direction as to what to do next. At my appointed time, the technician who made the appointment pointed to a chair. Apparently, the chair wasn’t hers but I guess she wanted to get things started, b/c another technician sat down in front of me and continued to stare that a blank area only she can see… Ok, with all the rambling aside… the gist of it is that this place is descent. The technician who made my appointment and did my OPI gel manicure did a very good job and I will probably go back due to lack of other options in this area. I would have given this place a 4-star should there have been more hellos and smiles. Also, they lose a star b/c I saw a technician(the one staring off to la-la land) wiped down the sink after a pedicure with a scotch sponge WITHOUT spraying down with any kind of antiseptic. I’m praying and hoping that she is an exception and not the norm. Why is it sooooooooooooooooooo hard to find a place that is both good AND clean!!! If you happened to stay with my review until this point and KNOW of a place that meets my criteria, PLEASE feel free to message me. :) Oh, FYI — they do take credit cards but there is no tip section on the receipt. I had to void my charge and add tip prior to card being swiped.
