This is the best cigar lounge in town. I love the atmosphere. If I could be in the lounge everyday, then I sure would. The management is outstanding. It feels like I am smoking a cigar at home in my family room amongst friends. I love the place.

Looking for cigars for a golf outing we met with«Ken«in the Ellicott City store who just simply was the best! New to the cigar industry with a multitude of questions I received a dissertation about the product that left no question unanswered. Courteous, knowledgeable, and personable this was a visit not soon to be forgotten! Many thanks and will visit again!

Price– moderate staff– pleasant and friendly lounge– small, BYOB I didn’t stay and smoke but the staff was pleasant, the selection was good and if i were in the area more i would come back. if they had less lobby space and more lounge it would be nicer.

This is part of a chain of cigar shops in the Maryland area, and they are all pretty much the same. This particular location has a good selection of fair priced cigars and a large selection of cigar accessories. There is an okay selection of pipes, and a decent selection of loose tobacco, and a scare selection of tinned pipe tobacco, no hooka. The shop is a pretty decent size, with a large store front, a large humidor, and a small lounge in the back(some nice chairs, table, restroom, and TV). The main draw backs to this store are the limited lounge hours(close early on weekend nights and Sunday afternoons, even with a crowded lounge and the game on) and the staff. While the staff are very nice and attentive, they often appear to have no real cigar knowledge or interest. They seem to know a lot of facts about cigars, where they are from, or if they are new or popular, but seem to lack the ability to suggest a cigar based on taste or experience. The staff also seems to follow you around the humidor, giving the customer the impression that they are being watched, possibly for theft. This appears to be so common at this chain, that I can only assume they are being trained to do so. Good place to buy stuff, not a good place to enjoy it.

This is one of my all time favorite cigar shops/lounges ever! I was attending a month long training course down in Fort Meade, MD a couple years ago, and once I discovered this place, it became my go to spot on most afternoons. Small place, but don’t let that fool you. The selection is great! Whatever you like they probably have it. The prices are decent too. I purchased a pack of Opus X’s there for about $ 40 bucks which is a good deal in my opinion. Accessory selection is average at best. Staff knows there stuff, so getting good advice is a given here. What I liked most about this place was the BYO drink policy and the«living room esque» lounge in the back room. It literally feels like you’re in your grandfather’s living room watching a game with family and friends. The TV’s not just reserved for sports, but for anything that sparks lively conversation amongst a crowd of 7 or 8 men from different walks of life. I was always the youngest guy in the room when I went there, but the older guys still respected my opinions and views and I enjoyed hearing their views on myriad topics as well. Most guys shared a round or two of whatever they brought to drink, so that was cool too. There’s also a small collection of random books and magazines in the lounge are for those that enjoy a smoke in contemplative silence. I really wish I could fly to the B-more area once a week, just so i could go to this place, it felt so much like home.

In this day and age it’s difficult to find a tobacconist yet one that even has a smoking lounge on premises. Davidus Cigars is a cigar lover’s dream. The store is divided into three sections: an entrance area with smoking accessories, humidors, cash register, etc; the middle section is the humidor with a large selection of cigars from inexpensive to costly and mild to full bodied; the final section is the smoking lounge which is has its own entrance door from the humidor. There are several comfortable leather chairs in the smoking lounge and a wall mounted HDTV. There are many regulars who frequent this store and occasionally you can get into a lively conversation with somebody who might be an attorney, computer specialist, etc. So if you’re new to the area and smoke cigars give Davidus a try. I think you’ll be pleased with the service and the selection.

Recalling my last Caribbean cruise and experiencing legally a real top quality Cuban cigar… I wandered in here, walked back into the humidor room and asked, what cigars do you have that are closest to Cuban cigars here. I was told, «Look here on this shelf. These from the Dominican Republic are the strongest.» STRONGEST? muttering under my breath. All the red flags went up. This is like asking for a good French wine and being told…“The ones over here have the strongest grape taste in the store.” This particular manager obviously haven’t had a well aged, properly rolled, vintage leafed Cuban cigar which has a draw smoother than a baby’s bottom. No matter how hard you draw, there isn’t a bite anywhere to be seen. That being said, I still give them 4 stars for having an impeccable store, well laid out, clean, and tidy. I give them credit for opening a cigar only store in this age of health awareness. Just do your homework before you come here and get what you need.
