If you want a sodium diet, this is the place to come! The food is one of a kind. If you’ve never been here and want to try it, the best time to come is at lunch. The servers working at lunch are always polite and never slack! If you have no plans, dinner will be the best for you because you will be there all night waiting. This isn’t because of bad service, just because there are so many people crammed in this hole in the wall. Getting here before 6pm is the only way you will be immediately seated.

Well the service here was not that great. But, what do you expect when there are only a couple of waitresses on a Saturday night? We had an appetizer that consisted of shrimp and some kind of hot sauce with bread that you can dip in the sauce. I can’t remember the name of it but WOW it was delicious. We both ordered steak, my husband a ribeye and myself the filet. My husband enjoyed the flavor of his but it was very fatty but the filet was huge and melt in your mouth good! If you don’t mind flagging your waitress down to get something then go here for steak! Everything was out in a timely manner so kudos to the kitchen staff!

Great food! We got the Ribbeye Pittsburgh style! Service was great! Have been several times and never had anything that was not good!

This is a really nice place. Small but comfortable you can stop here and have a few beers and game of pool after a hard days work. The Rib eye steak was great and the atmosphere is casual and laid back. If you have not tried this place yet and pass it on the way from Waverly Hall or Manchester every day, you should check it out.

One of the top 3 steaks I have ever gotten. What it lacks in ambiance and décor it makes up for in food and service. All you can eat specials weekdays and 35cent wings on Saturday. Re-dropped wings are great and I am not a wing person. Homemade blue cheese dressing is amazing.

Daily lunch specials are good and the burgers are good. I’ve been there to shoot pool in the evening, but I’ve never experienced the dinner menu.

Great service and food, really enjoy their filet, garlic brussel sprouts and snake bites. Probably the best steak in the Columbus vicinity. I love eating at Luke’s, just quite a drive from where I am, or I would go more often!

My parents love this place, and I cannot fathom why. I do like the atmosphere – the laid back bar vibe is appealing. The food, however, is horrific. It looks like the most generic slop I have ever seen in my life. I honestly believe all of their food is frozen. The burger was greasy, thin, and tasteless. The salad was meager and mostly iceberg lettuce. Way over priced cafeteria food, basically.

Great steaks, good chicken and burgers! Would definitely recommend Luke’s Pub for date night or a family dinner. Excellent service as well.

Don’t waste your time or money. Drive time is out of the way. Lived here for many years and heard great things about. 1 star is above what it is worth.

We eat at Luke’s quite often. We enjoy their steaks because they are flavorful and tender. The steak for two is enormous! The restaurant is small but the staff is friendly. The owner is always creating new dishes. Each night has an all you can eat special if you are really hungry. The atmosphere could be a little nicer but the food is good.

During or near season, you can compare Realtree v. Mossy Oak v. classic woodland in their natural setting: eating a good steak while drinking cheap beer. The steaks are really very good. Driving into the area takes you past pass a good number of ranches advertising their beef. This place doesn’t advertise local, but if the ranch folks eat here the meat had better be good. Medium comes out with a nice crust and buttery, red interior. Veggie sides are copious, a happy surprise. Fried bits are well-fried, neither soggy nor cardboard. Beer choices are limited; this is the type of place that lists Blue Moon as an import. No, really, it’s in the import section of the menu. Luke’s can get crowded. That happens when there are few restaurants around. Service is not business-lunch-hour speed, but that isn’t this kind of place. Plus: Galaga.

Steaks are delicious! Cheaper than the chain restaurants and generous portions. Don’t go there for the décor… Nothing fancy about this place, just straight forward tasty steaks. Very friendly and attentive staff. Only gave it 3 stars due to the poor bathroom situation.

Luke’s is a staple steakhouse in Harris County and has some of the best cooking around. Try the snake bites or banty roosters as an appetizer-cream cheese+jalapeño+meat=delicious! I love the relaxed/down home atmosphere. This is a place I wouldn’t be surprised to see on Diners, Drive-In’s and Dives(this is definitely not for those of you looking for a fancy steakhouse-camo, hats, and boots is what you’ll see folks wearing in Luke’s!).

Another meat and 2 or 3 for lunch. It is a bar and restaurant and nothing fancy at all. Just plain southern food. There are daily specials for $ 6.25. We had the chopped hamburger steak with onions and brown gravy with fried okra, steamed cabbage, and white acre peas. Portions were large and accompanied with a roll. A good meal if you are on the road.

After reading the reviews here I thought this would be a nice steakhouse to get a filet or two. When my friends and I first arrived there it really didn’t look like what I thought of as a typical steakhouse. It looks like a small town roadhouse and there seemed to be two places, a bar attached to a gas station and Luke’s which is a smaller building next to it. I immediately became hesitant to enter, thinking it was a typical redneck bar, like that place in Blues Brothers where they played Rawhide over and over again. Nonetheless the service there is actually quite friendly, my friends and I obviously aren’t from here but our waitress was really friendly and it seemed like she literally knew every table she had except us. We started with the fried pickles, and the ‘snake bites’ which was the steak rolled with cream cheese and jalapenos but she suggested the trio which had the steak, chicken and shrimp varieties. All of which were delicious but the steak and shrimp stood out. The natural flavors of steak and shrimp really went better with the cheese and jalapenos. I got the filet and shrimp which was okay, the shrimp were served on a bed of rice pilaf and grilled to perfection. The filet though was a little tough for what I consider to be a very tender cut of steak. My friends ordered the ribeye and the t-bone respectively and it looks like the enjoyed it a lot. The t-bone in particular was HUGE, 16oz? I don’t think so, probably almost double that, and that’s not counting the gristle. It’s a really great surprise that a place like this exists and aside from really minor gripes it’s a great place to come to.

I went here on a Wednesday night for the all you can eat Quail and it was amazing! They have really good baked quail with a homemade sauce I wish I could take home with me. My wife got chicken tenders(she isn’t nearly as adventurous) and the batter on those was really good too. They do their own batter and frying, not pre-bought. The Banty Rooster(grilled chicken rolled with cream cheese and jalapeños was really good too. The service was really good, but it was rather quiet that night. She admittedly said that on weeks when they fill the house they get backed up some, but I think the quality of food would be good enough to make the wait worth it. On Thursday nights they have all you can eat Catfish and on Friday’s they have all you can eat shrimp. Check it out! You may not go out here all the time, it is a little bit of a drive from Columbus, but it’ll be well worth the trip.

Yuck! I just recently went for the second time with my in-laws who love this place. They are the reason I went the first time, too. I ordered the country-fried steak and they brought it out with the wrong gravy. Instead of the white gravy you are supposed to use on country-fried steak, they put the thick, brown salisbury-steak type gravy. Ewwww. Service was pretty awful. Our waitress was pleasant but it seemed that she was the only one working and was stretched a little thin. We had to stay about 45 minutes longer than we needed to because she took that long to bring our checks. I would NOT recommend this place. If you are in Waverly Hall or the surrounding area it’s worth it to drive a little further and find a decent place. This one sucks.

I have eaten at Luke’s Pub so many times I can not count them anymore! Best Steaks, Fresh Seafood — that is AWESOME! I have never had a bad meal at Luke’s. If you are there for lunch have the white acre peas! The staff is GREAT and take care of you. Yes, it is a PUB but a very friendly & family atmosphere! They hand cut the steaks daily! Seafood is always FRESH like you were at the beach! House salad dressing to die for! Gotta try the snakebites, stingrays and chicken bites are all GREAT! Order the trio and have all three! If they happen to have Lobster tail on a night you are there it is AWESOME. The stuffed, Fried(better than CHops in ATL) or even broiled! Never a bad meal! Love the staff! Gotta try this DIAMOND in the ROUGH!
