New Eastern Inn

Okay — this place is an absolute dump. I had to create a Unilocal category for them because they weren’t even in here! They were named Best Eastern Inn before it seems, got renamed at some point.
When we first booked — I thought it was strange it was just a verbal confirmation over the phone. No confirmation email or number or anything. They just took my credit card number and my name, that was it.
I called the night before to confirm, they were like yes we have you down. I asked if there was a confirmation number, he’s like um 101. I was like okay, I might be arriving very late just to advise you. They asked how late and informed me there might not be anybody there to let us in, which I found to be a little sketchy. I was like well I am coming for sure, I am telling you now I am going to be late.
I arrived around 11pm — I had to go in the lobby and ring the bell for service. The lobby smelled SO bad. Somebody came out checked us in — they confirmed me for a non-​smoking room. Charged me for 2 nights than I went off to my room.
When I walked in, it smelled musky and terrible. I almost gagged when I walked in there, I had to go to 7 – 11 next door to buy air freshner to be able to tolerate it. Secondly, there were cigarette hole burns in the comforters! So much for a non-​smoking room. The towels were discolored, luckily there is a K-​Mart next door so you can buy your own towels. The TV in the room did not work and there looked like there was a camera attached to it, maybe they were piggybacking cable?
After seeing all this, I decided to check Unilocal reviews, why was I surprised there wasn’t even 1 listed? We checked another source online and somebody had reviewed prior about bed bug issues!
We had come down here and stayed here to attend a wedding. Other people had to steam iron their beds to feel safer that there weren’t any issues.
Supposedly the place was built in the 70s. I am pretty sure that nothing at all has been upgraded in this place since than.
The only thing that might have been decent was the water pressure in the shower, even the door to our bathroom was broken.
Stay somewhere else, you have been warned.
