Been here many times & it’s always EXCELLENT !!! Today we had cornbread & pinto beans, like«granny’s» !!! This place is a museum; having items brought in from old old soda fountains from across the USA. The ice cream is the best !!! The café setting is in the shadow of one of the most picturesque old court houses.(A set for several movies.) S&R Soda Fountain,(restaurant) is a great stop, coming & going to the Jefferson Davis State Park Monument.(Similar to the Washington Monument, in DC.

Awesome food, great atmosphere, and a friendly staff. Full of Elkton charm! Their banana splits are the bomb. I also am addicted to the chicken salad, homemade French onion dip, and their tasty avocado burger. Love it!

Sadly disappointed… Atmosphere– super cute small town soda shop with 50’s music playing over the speakers. Loved it! Staff– awesome! Our waitress was brand spanking new so she wasn’t able to answer our questions but quickly got someone who could. She was super sweet! Food– unfortunately you’re looking at an extremely, tough, chewy overlooked burger. Being as this was our entire reasons for our visit, we were sad. I thought maybe it was only mine but a quick look around the tables proved otherwise. We ordered chicken tenders and fries, kids version you get 1, yes ONE chicken tender(I think their kids menu is for kids under 4…) so we got him the large regular portion which is 2 tenders and fries for $ 5.99. He enjoyed them and so did I The coleslaw is amazing! Definitely get that! Ice cream– I guess I had high expectations, I was thinking they made their ice cream, but it’s just the buckets like Baskin Robins. Flavored like rainbow sherbet, mint chocolate chip, Oreo etc. despite my disappointment my son and I split a banana split. It was average at best. For $ 4.99 go to Walmart buy the stuff and make your own. Overall I’d say this place is Better than anything else the locals have, but not worthy of a special(30 minute to and from for me) trip.

This place is The Place in Elkton. The food is great, the staff is friendly and the décor is a walk down memory lane. They serve real ice cream and not soft serve. The banana splits are made for sharing, they are huge. Once you visit this fine establishment you will be a repeat customer.

Passing through and stopped for lunch. Pleasantly surprised by the delightful interior with the old-fashioned, nostalgic posters and décor. Great service and good food. This is casual dining, with reasonable prices. A scoop of ice cream was only $ 1.89. Would stop again again if in the area.

This place is very cool, nicely done antique soda shop. I had a Cheese Burger and a cup of chili and the Wife had a Chicken Salad sandwich and baked beans. Everything we had was very good. Wait staff were over and above great. We had a very enjoyable lunch. PS wish we had saved room for ice cream!

Small town with an old fashioned atmosphere! The food is always so good and the hot fudge brownie sundae is my favorite! Friendly staff!
