Jack Brown’s Single Wide

Wow. Absolutely amazing burgers! I tried the Elvis Burger and would tell EVERYONE to try it!!! It is a burger topped with peanut butter, mayo, Applewood smoked, and cheese. Sounds weird but it is probably the best burger I’ve ever had!!!
And you MUST save room for dessert! The fried Oreos are insanely delicious! I probably could have eaten 5 of them if I let myself!

WHOOP another Virginia place that was way better then expected. What a cozy, outdoor little restaurant. A great place to go out for a late dinner with friends!
Burgers were so juicy and delicious, even though they were not huge burgers, it was okay because the prices seemed rather cheap then other places. Fries were amazing. Loved the drink menu too! What a funky little burger menu, too! I settles for just a regular cheeseburger, while my friends got all kinds of crazy ones. We all took bites of each others, and it was pretty unanimous that they were all excellent. We got dessert to go; these little mini Chinese boxes came out with a freshly fried Oreo inside it! How cute! A little random, but adorable. These were not your carnival fried oreos that are made with haste, and thrown in old oil. These tasted like gourmet fried oreos!
What a great place for friends, and even families with kids!

Burgers are fantastic! Small place with outdoor seating. Great place to bring the kids. The food is great.
Service was wonderful. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was the limited selection. My teenage son loved the place and that says a lot.

I love this place. They have amazing burgers with crazy delicious combinations of toppings, a great selection of craft beer from all over the country and an amazing fry sauce that goes with everything. The staff is always friendly and attentive.

What a great little burger joint. I had the shocker. I would first like to say that I absolutely love spicy food. 9 out of 10 times I get the hottest wings on the menu, etc. this little burger could have possibly been the hottest thing I’ve ever eaten. It was hot but it was tasty. My eyes and nose were running and I rarely get that experience. I loved the menu and if I could eat like that everyday I would definitely be stopping back by.

If someone told me that I would enjoy a burger with Mac n cheese and BBQ chips on top (the Greg Brady), I am not sure I would believe them. It was yummy. The grilled cheese was perfect for my two toddlers and the fried Oreo completed the meal wonderfully.
Thank goodness they had that small indoor area because it was very hot out the day we visited.

Had lunch here today and it was fantastic. Other than shake shack best burgers I’ve had. We are staying at massanutten resort and found this place on google maps. There is no sign out front. Must have a fried Oreo. Yum

I’m here visiting from NJ. I’m always looking for a gem in a small town & I found it. Wonderful little place great % Wagu beef burgers. Awesome beers & service. I will Be back over & over again.

Had «The Popper» burger with jalapeños and cream cheese. Put the French fries sauce on the sandwich making it the best burger I’ve had in several years. This is not a huge burger, but was perfect size for me. I also liked that they had Hard Cider on the menu. Not to be over looked, even the pickle served with the sand which was crisp and fresh.
Two others at my table ordered the «The Cowboy» — burger with bacon, cheddar cheese, and BBQ sauce. They loved them.
One other had «The Piggyback» — burger with a hot dog and jalapeños. He loved it.
If you’re in the mood for desert, you can get a $ 1 deep fried Oreo. Had it last year and they were hot and gooey.
So — good food, check; good view, check; friendly staff, check! Great place for burgers!

The best places are the ones you want to go back to. We stopped here for lunch 2 years ago while on vacation and had a great time. Today I literally swerved off the road when I saw it. Today is an off hours sort of day — but the staff is just as friendly, the atmosphere relaxing and the beer is just as cold as I remember. Kudos!

A must! No doubt about it, this is one of the best places around. Plenty of beer to choose from and the burgers are amazing. Did I mention they have fried Oreo’s? What else could you ask for?! Go!
UPDATE: Went here a second time. Can’t say enough good things about this place.

THE LOW DOWN
If you don’t know me, let me introduce myself. My name is Richard and I am a burgerholic. There, I said it out loud! I love burgers like Cookie Monster loves cookies and that silly rabbit love Trix. I seriously start to loose it if I go too many days without eating a burger and begin to resemble a crackhead looking for a hit! If I had superpowers, I’m certain I would only be able to maintain my powers based on how many burgers I consumed. It is my favorite go-​to food when I’m in a really carnivorous mood and above all, it makes my belly happy.
I love burgers so much I’ve hosted burger tours with my Unilocal peeps in Atlanta were we go around trying several excellent burger joints in the same day. I’ll drive hours just to eat at White Castles and have caught a plane to eat at In n’ Out in California. If I’m on a long road trip, you’ll probably see me check-​in to a burger joint like Steak n’ Shake nearly every time we stop for gas. I’m sad to say my children have even nicknamed me ‘Cheeseburger’ because of my addiction to them.
In a typical week, I probably consumed 4 to 6 cheeseburgers from all across the burger landscape. Five Guys, Burger King, Wendy, Sonics, A&W, Krystals, Cook-​Out, home made, local craft burgers and I’ve even been know to order the Italiano Burger @ Olive Garden.
So when I tell you the burgers are good here, but VERY small for the money… believe it! I paid $ 5.49 for a cheeseburger not much bigger than a slider. Fries were extra and just your average crinkle-​cut frozen variety. Yes the food is good, but not remotely worth the price of admission! On the other hand, the fried Oreo for $ 1 was really good and the «single wide» trailer thing they’ve got going is kinda cool. Feels like a food truck with a deck built onto it.
FINAL THOUGHTS
We enjoyed the outdoor patio with a variety of music playing over the speakers and REALLY like the beach-​like design of the small business complex Jack Brown’s is located. I was also extremely happy to see they use potato buns, but the burgers here are just too small and thin to justify the price… unless of course you enjoy paying more for less. In that case, bon-​apetite!

Had the Shocker burger and crinkle cut French fries. Burger was excellent but extremely spicy. Will definitely visit again.

Super fun place to grab a great burger. We’ve been here twice while visiting the area, once in the fall and most recently in the spring. The view was awesome both trips!
The first time we visited we were a little confused. There’s outdoor seating surrounding a little cluster of… outbuildings? A trailer? A gift shop? There’s a BBQ place next door, and I first thought the tables and chairs were part of their set up, then a girl yelled out from the trailer that we could sit anywhere we wanted. Okay — cool.
Someone quickly came over to show us the menu’s that were conveniently located in the caddy on the table. There are only about 10 burgers to choose from, plus a daily special. Grilled cheese, sweet potato or crinkle cut (YES! My favorite) fries and fried Oreo’s for dessert. Risky, but it pays off in this case. 10 burgers, then about 30 beer choices on a separate menu. I like where your head is at.
Service was quick and friendly and the burgers were great! The first trip I had the Cowboy burger, which is a pretty standard BBQ bacon cheese burger. Very good, but I regretted not trying something more adventurous. This time I got the Greg Brady, which had mac & cheese and potato chips. NOT something I would ordinarily try, but man was it good. My husband and I also shared our «son’s» Danny Laruso — cream cheese and pepper jelly. WOW. Husband got the special, Inspector Clouseau” — french onion dip, Ruffles chips, and American cheese. Son #1 got the grilled cheese because he’s 5. It was tasty and pleased the kids. We drank beers and REALLY pleased the kids by having fried Oreo’s for dessert.
Other diners were SUPER friendly and nice, and one even recognized us the next day while she was waitress at a different joint! I miss small town life! We’ll be back next time, for sure.

So good. Definitely coming back when we are in the area again. Do yourself a favor and get the sweet potato fries.

Every time we come to Massanutten we have dinner here at least once. The best burgers ever! Except for the ones my husband makes. It’s a great little area with a couple of shops. I can’t say enough good about the place.

Best burger I have ever had! This was our first time in Massanutten and we decided to check this place out. They have lots of craft beers and the food was just delish! I got the Baby Jack and it was a bit like a Big Mac but much, much tastier! The special sauce was great. My daughter got The Greg Brady. She was feeling adventurous and loved the burger topped with mac-​n-​cheese and BBQ potato chips. The fries were hot and crispy.
A definite must try if you are in the area.

Definitely a delicious eat. The burgers were amazing, although a bit smaller than I’d like, but it was worth it all the same. Good flavors and limited choices, no need to browse a menu forever deciding, they give you a few options and they excel at those choices. A must try with a great view. Almost all seating is outside/​under umbrellas, I recommend not coming when it’s raining.

The place doesn’t look like much, but the waitress was lovely and attentive, the burger was cooked well, the beer selection was good, and it was just a nice, sunny day, with a slight breeze, that made the burger, beverage of choice, and fried Oreo go down oh so smoothly. I’ve spent twice as much at other establishments, and not received the satisfaction which I felt from this meal. Stop by for a burger and beer, followed by a fried Oreo, you will not be disappointed.
